Follow Your Passion: A Seamless Tumblr Journey
Japan’s and Greece’s friendship in Hetalia has always weirded me out, bc we don’t really care about one another in real life so I searched about the relations between these two. Japan’s national poet is a Greek guy. I AM NOT KIDDING. Leukadios Hearn (Greek-Irish) went to america to work as a journalist, he found out about Japan and liked it so much he moved there, married a japanese woman and had children. He was the man who brought the japanese mythology and a lot of other stuff to the west. So, maybe thats one thing.
😚 @quakinn
Mr. Japan, hello, please tell me about Sukeban. Have you seen them, have you encountered any of them in person? Did they attack you, or did you witness their robberies and fights?
What is your opinion of their actions?
Ah yes,
I remember first seeing them in the 1970s even though they first came around in the 1960s I believe.
They are honestly very distinctive due to their long skirts; I’ve never been robbed by them however I’ve witnessed three of them shoplifting at the Itoya Stationery store in Ginza.
They became so high in number that I had to discuss with the policemen of my country on how to identify them. Some 番長 didn’t accept the sukeban into their groups and that’s what kickstarted a lot of sukeban action however in my opinion in recent times I’ve seen more sukeban than banchō.
Mr. Jap, do you like it here on Tumblr? (^.。.^)ノ
I am rather fond of Tumblr so far actually. I enjoy interacting with others as well as viewing some art. Do you enjoy Tumblr if I may ask?
Today I decided to dress and pose as a famous painting: 見返り美人図 otherwise known as Beauty Looking Back.
This painting was a singular stand alone piece made by Hishikawa Moronobu who is mostly known for his innovative ways regarding the method of coloring for ukiyo-e woodblock. This method was very influential due to how my house simply only had black print before then.
To showcase the painting’s popularity even more so, the “Beauty Looking Back” painting was adopted as the pattern for the first Japanese postage stamp after WW2 in 1948.
Oh hi Japan how are you doing? What do you think of going to my farm this weekend? You can bring your dog
@ask-the-swiss-canivet-guy
Greetings. I am doing very well, thank you. I would be honored to go to your farm this weekend. Which day is most convenient for you? I’m sure Pochi-kun would utterly adore your goats.
Pochi and I decided to take a small walk today however Pochi had other plans… we boarded the bus and walked over to the local convenience store for sweet treats and onigiri.
Even sea bream is not delicious when eaten in loneliness.
(OOC: These images do not belong to me; credits to the original photographer.)
Salutations. I am 日本国 otherwise known as the state of Japan by my colleagues or simply Honda Kiku by those whom I am familiar with.
Many people know me for my cuisine, sumo wrestling, samurai, onsens, and anime however I wish to share my culture as well as expand my horizons on the customs of other countries through this app.
Please do feel free to send in asks; I will try my best to answer them with punctuality however if I fail I do so I apologize in advance.
Birthday: February 11th which is my national foundation day. In 660 BCE, Emperor Jimmu ascended to the throne and unifying my people as one nation: Japan.
My Favorite Food: I am very fond of vegetables especially when they are pickled, fermented, and salty. I am also fond of sushi, shiozake, nimono, tsukemono to a large extent.
My Hobbies: I enjoy exercise such as walking, baseball, making preserved food, working with my hands on 2D and 3D taking care of Pochi-kun, and sunbathing. My newest hobby is challenging myself to cook dishes from every country (they will most likely be adapted in a respectful manner to suit my own personal taste).
My Companions: My beloved Shiba Inu named Pochi, my cat who is addressed as Tama, my Guinea pig named Haru, and my pet rabbit who is named Yuki.

Funny Ameripan scenario
Japan always seems so uninterested when visiting America in their home country. They always seem so neutral about everything, even the cool monuments. But, the MOMENT America goes to Japan in their home country America finds a room FILLED with American stuff. This is how America finds out that Japan is a complete westaboo and secretly buys assortments of American stuff.
Ameripan is so interesting because I feel like Alfred/Amelia would tiptoe around being fully romanticly open while Kiku/Sakura would be so blatant about it. Like Alfred/Amelia would bring Kiku/Sakura chocolates and be like "Hey, if you ever wanna hang out, I'm free for the next 3 days!" And Kiku/Sakura would be like "Ah, I see. Our date will be tomorrow at 8am. Do not be late, America." And It would catch Alfred/Amelia off guard so badly because they aren't used to being so forward all the time.
I forgot to show you what I had done this summer!
I tried to practice my skills, specifically drawing emotions, and...tha is the result. do not ask me why The Screecher. you would better not to play this game if you want to sleep well at night.
Us Americans are required to do so.
Slay. TY to my pookie for inspiring me to make this by finding this post on Quora 😛

They are siblings to me
(Francesco es un nombre común en Italia, también es el nombre de nuestro Santo Patrón. Como italiana, nunca he oído antes* de “Feliciano”);
Dejé el mismo apellido escogido por Himaruya sólo porque “Vargas” es un apellido italiano existente. (Si quieres saber, es realmente el nombre de jugador de fútbol);
Alemania= Ludwig Schmidt
(Solamente cambié el apellido, pienso que Schmidt es más común en Alemania y suena similar al original);
Japón= Daisuke Honda (Kiku es un nombre simbólico, realmente hermoso y raro, pero he pensado en darle a Japón un nombre común. Honda es un apellido japonés famoso, nada que decir acerca de eso);
USA= George F. Jones (El apellido así está perfecto, supongo. George es por George Washington y F. se queda por el mismo segundo nombre* que Kennedy);
UK= Arthur Thompson (No estaba segura sobre este. La primera vez pensé acerca de nombrarlo como “Oliver” debido a su popularidad y por Oliver Twist, o “John”. Pero entonces me di cuenta que Arthur está bien y es simbólico también. Así que he cambiado el apellido. Kirkland era bastante anónimo y quería algo que pudiera sonar más británico);
Francia= François Bonnefoy
(Solamente transformé “Francis”, la cual es la versión inglesa del nombre, en François, bastante usado y “francés”);
Rusia= Ivan Vasilyev (¡Braginski era un apellido polaco! He escogido algo que aún sonaba como “Branginski”, pero que a la vez fuese un verdadero apellido ruso);
China= Yao Wang (No encontré nada para cambiar aquí);
España= Antonio Fernandez García; (Antonio estaba bien, también Fernández es popular. Solamente he removido Carriedo para reemplazarlo con García, el cual se utiliza en gran parte de España/países hispanohablantes);
Prusia= Gilbert Schmidt (Gilbert era perfecto, solamente cambié el apellido);
Austria= Roderich Amadeus Wagner (Roderich estaba bien. He agregado “Amadeus” por Mozart y cambié el apellido a “Wagner”, siendo todavía un nombre de compositor. La combinación de estos tres me da me una impresión de nobleza);
Hungría= Ágnès Horváth (La renombré totalmente. Ágnès no sólo es tierno*, sino que también poco usado, creo. Encontré que Horváth es uno de los apellidos más comunes en Hungría);
Belarus= Natałlia Arłoŭskaja (Lo dejo como estaba; pero cambié la forma en que estaba escrito*);
Egypt= Muhammad Hassan Al-Nur; (Okay, Muhammad y Hassan son muy populares entre nombre árabes, así que los dejé así. Pero encontré que Gupta era un apellido hindú y que la letra “p” no existe en arábe. Entonces hice una lista de apellidos lindos y, al final, Al-Nur fue el ganador por encima del resto);
Estonia= Eduard Tamm (Tamm es bastante común);
Finlandia= Timo Hämäläinen (Tino realmente no era un nombre finlandés, pero TiMo sí. Hämäläinen es más común y una buena alterativa para Väinämöinen, que no es un apellido real);
Grecia= Αlexandros Ypsilanti; (Alexandros es un buen, conocido y elegante nombre. Alexandros Ypsilanti es también el nombre de un héroe nacional, durante la guerra de la independencia de Grecia);
Letonia= Raivis Liepa; (Raivis sí era un nombre letón, así que ¿Por qué no conservarlo así? Solamente cambié el apellido, Galante es en realidad un apellido italiano);
Lituania= Laurynas Valaitis (Cambié todo aquí para hacerlo realista, pero también para que sonara similar a “Toris Laurinaitis”);
Polonia= Feliks Łukasiewicz (Es normal justo como está);
Sealand= Peter Thompson (Sólo cambié el apellido);
Corea del Sur= Kim Yong Soo (Tal y como estaba);
Suiza= Noah Schweizer (Noah se usa comúnmente en todos los cantones, y el apellido suena germano);
First Name, Second Name, Last Name George F. Jones
A mi parecer. Gusto personal.
Hello everyone! Let’s talk about it: one of the most annoying issues about Hetalia are *drum roll* the NAMES, people. Characters’ names/surnames, yes. So, with my friend, I wanted to give them a more “realistic” trait, starting with my nation’s one, Italy. I tried to change ONLY canon names, not those who are not decided yet (such as Belgium’s or Ukraine’s, for example). Some of them remained unchanged, because of specific reasons, but I would be glad if all of you could help me with your home country. Let’s begin!
N.Italy= Francesco Vargas (Francesco is a common name in Italy, also is our St. Patron’s name. As an italian, I’ve never head before of “Feliciano”);
S.Italy= Salvatore Vargas (Salvatore is a typical southern name, very common in South Italy. Also here, Lovino is not an italian name.)
I left the same surname chosen by Himaruya just because “Vargas” is an existent italian surname. (If you want to know, it’s actually the name of a football player);
Germany= Ludwig Schmidt (Only changed the surname here, I think Schmidt is more common in Germany and its sound is similar to the original surname’s one);
Japan= Daisuke Honda (Kiku is a symbolic name, really beautiful and rare, but I’ve thought to give Japan a common name. Honda is a famous japanese surname, nothing to say about it);
USA= George F. Jones (The surname isperfect as it is, I guess. George is for George Washington and F. stays for the same Kennedy’s second name );
UK= Arthur Thompson (I was insecure about his name. At the first time I thought about bames as “Oliver”, because of his popularity and because of Oliver Twist, or “John”. But then I realised that Arthur is good and symbolic as well. So, I’ve changed the surname. Kirkland was pretty anonymous and I wanted something that could have sounded more british);
France= François Bonnefoy (Only transformed Francis, which was the english version of the name, in François, very used and “french”);
Russia= Ivan Vasilyev (Braginski was a polish surname! I’ve chosen something that still sounded like “Braginski”, but at the same time was a real russian surname);
China= Yao Wang (I didn’t found anything to change here);
Spain= Antonio Fernandez García; (Antonio was good, also Fernandez is popular. I’ve only removed Carriedo in order to replace it with García, which is largely used in Spain/countries with a spanish toungue);
Prussia= Gilbert Schmidt (Gilbert was perfect, only changed the family name);
Austria= Roderich Amadeus Wagner (Roderich was ok. I’ve added “Amadeus”, because of Mozart and changed the surname in “Wagner”, still a composer’s name. The combination of this three names gives me some sort of nobility impression);
Hungary= Ágnès Horváth (Totally renamed her. Ágnès is not only cute, but also a bit used, I guess. I found Horváth to be one of the commonest surnames in Hungary);
Canada= Matthew Williams (I don’t see nothing wrong here, maybe it has to be something francophone in there?);
Belarus= Natałlia Arłoŭskaja (Leave it as it was; but changed the way it was written);
Egypt= Muhammad Hassan Al-Nur; (Okay, Muhammad and Hassan are very popular among arabics names, in fact I just leave them to be. But, I found out that Gupta was an Indian surname and also the letter “p” kinda don’t exist in arabic. Soooo I’ve made a list of some cute surname and, at last, Al-Nur won among the others);
Estonia= Eduard Tamm (Tamm is pretty common);
Finland= Timo Hämäläinen (Tino actually wasn’t a finnish name, but TiMo yes. Hämäläinen is rather common and it’s a good alternative to Väinämöinen, that is not a real surname);
Greece= Αlexandros Ypsilanti; (Alexandros is a good, widespread and elegant name. Alexandros Ypsilanti, is also a national hero’s name, during the greek war of indipendence);
Latvia= Raivis Liepa; (Raivis was an actual latvian name, so why don’t keep it? Only the surname changed, Galante was an italian one);
Lithuania= Laurynas Valaitis (I’ve changed everything here, in order to make it realistic, but also to make it sound like “Toris Laurinaitis” as well);
Poland= Feliks Łukasiewicz (It is just normal as it is);
Sealand= Peter Thompson (Only changed his family name);
S.Korea= Kim Yong Soo (Just as it was before);
Sweden= Gustav Lindström (Gustav was the name of many swedish kings. Lindström is commonly used, I think.)
Switzerland= Noah Schweizer (Noah is commonly used in all the cantons, the surname has a german sound);
Turkey= Sadık Adnan (Almost the same. The name is written in turkish)
