I never knew how much I needed this until today
Every time I look back through ACOTAR and the actions Feyre chose I can’t help but think this isn’t her. While this can all be placed on SJM and her horrible writing choices for the plot, book 1 Feyre has changed into the being she hated the first time we met her.
And my favorite theory will continue to be that Feyre is not in control of herself mentally. It’s all Rhysand. That bargain made under the mountain in book one was the beginning of the end for Feyre. And it was a trap that Tamlin and Lucien saw for what it was. But it was too late to save her.
I’d even go so far as to say that Feyre was Tamlin’s mate and that her death and the deal she made with Rhysand altered it so that the universe would believe it was Rhysand who was her mate.
Everything else was just sprinkled in at the right moments and the right times for Rhysand to play the ‘savior’ and pick up the pieces. And when his little puppet pretended that she was being controlled the entire time he genuinely thought she was broken from his spell for that brief moment.
So every little action, degrading outfit, and near death experiences were all a sick and twisted form of revenge against Tamlin. Possibly because they were exes, or for the crimes their fathers committed against each other and the unfortunate demise of Rhysand’s mother and sister.
And the real Feyre is trapped in a prison inside her mind. Watching as everyone and everything is stolen from her. And replaced with people who refuse to disobey their ‘precious high lord.’ A man so wrapped up in his own ego that he doesn’t even bother with 2/3 of his court.
It is @nestaarcheronweek aka the best week of the year!
For Day 1: Bonds, I have brought you sibling bonding, women helping women, and holding Rhysand accountable for his actions.

Feyre had made this child out of love, with the notion that she’d be there to raise him. Nesta had thought, as High Lady, she’d have been granted the utmost care, the ability to make every single decision, to have a full working knowledge of her world.
Instead, they treated her sister no better than they did herself. With secrets.
Nesta closed her eyes, readying for her abduction off the streets.
Instead, the earth trembled, tilted, and abruptly, the male she felt too much for yet no longer knew how to deal with was stumbling away, flames erupting between them.
“Put your hands on her and you’ll lose them.”
Nesta blinked, pushing herself upright on the wall of whatever building she’d been leaning against, and looked over the barrier to see her sister in all her glorious fury, her hand outstretched.
“Feyre,” Cassian croaked, looking as shocked as she felt, something agonized in his eyes. “Rhys told me to-”
“Speak his name to me again, I dare you.” Her sister hissed. “I know exactly what he told you.”

Kallias and Viviane let Rhysand off the hook a little too easy about the Winter Court children. They're just supposed to believe it was another Daemati when Rhysand was tormenting them all UtM and Rhysand couldn't even provide the name of this other Daemati? All this evidence against him and they just believe his word? just like that?
Just thinking that the worst villains are the ones who believe that they are good, and so any actions they take are good- because they're being done for a good cause. Rhysand and his whole IC (but mostly Rhys) are shown as the "good guys" of the entire series apart from ACOTAR, and Rhys is always the one making the decisions for Feyre and his court. Idk, just some food for thought. This probably will make no sense to me in an hour.
I made my OC using @copypastus's Picrew that they made (Picture with the High Lord | Picrew - The Character Maker & Creator) He's a litle like Amren but was confined to the CoN (why he's so pale) and he's very happy to be out (especially at this time of year lol)
Unpopular book opinion, but I think almost every single man in the Acotar books is problematic in one way or another. Like almost all of them are shitty, and I wouldn't let my friends date them. With the exception of the Winter lord Kallias and Lucien. I wouldn't let my friend date Lucien either though, because I think he needs therapy more than a relationship.
My sweet Nesta, they don't deserve you (Cassian, rhysand, inner circle)
Just because you have suffered abuse/trauma does not justify you hurting and abusing someone else. Cough, cough—Rhysand, cough, cough—Cassian.
Ayyo how are we all forgetting the women's rights movement of 2021 when our feminist icon rhysand chose not to tell his very pregnant wife that the birth would 100% kill her🤨🤨
He pretty much went around battling misogyny with his mountain shaking roars y'all could never-
