One of my favorite parts of ACOSF is seeing Nesta come into her own as a warrior. She’s collected some titles along the way — Valkyrie, Oristian, Lady Death — and I think her path is going to continue taking her to new heights in combat. With Cassian, the Valkyries, Ataraxia, and the Trove at her side, she’s a force to be reckoned with throughout Prythian (and maybe beyond?).

Nesta Week Day 2: Mask

I had this stained-glass-mask-metaphor idea but it ended up a bit too abstract and confusing, so I simplified to a stained glass window of Nesta with her Dread Trove (and Atraxia) She's standing in front of a gradient representing Prythian, and contemplating how to slay her enemies.

bro ship wars aside, if azriel doesn’t end up w gwyn (which he might not bc let’s be real no one knows who’s endgame) i want them to be friends so badly. like their friendship could be unmatched. same thing if he doesn’t end up w elain. i just like all the characters and i think their relationships, platonic or romantic, are important.

This whole Elriel and Gwynriel debate has turned into a very messy, toxic, and violent capture-the-flag event with every single word SJM has ever written, and it's both very upsetting and exhausting. The complete lack of respect for other people in the fandom just because they believe different theories or ship a different couple or whatever is ridiculous. Please just chill. If you find yourself mad enough to send unwarranted hate to a random artist because they made fun fanart of a couple you don't ship, maybe you need a glass of water and some food. Redirect that energy into taking care of yourself instead of tearing down others for no reason.

Things I wanna see less in fantasy~

Female protagonists having the best character arcs and personal growth only to lose their powers for the "greater good". Like? Let them be happy WITH POWERS?? ALINA'S LIGHT??? AELIN'S FIRE???? NESTA'S DEATH MAGIC??? TESSA'S SHAPE-SHIFTING??

What's the best trope and why's it Character A waking up from a nightmare, screaming and character B telling them to look at them and that it's just a bad dream?

The acotar fandom is so toxic like there's ignorance of characters' trauma, stupid excuses for characters' actions, so much sexism, so much slut shaming, domesticating literally every female charcter, MiSoGynY, promoting toxic masculinity, glorifying and sexualizing EvErYtHiNg etc.

I'm just happy with Aelin, Dorian, Manon, Elide, Yrene, Chaol, Abraxos, Nesryn, Fenrys, Lysandra and Rowan birdy. Like look at them. They're adorable.

Okay so this scene in heir of fire where the Valg are in Celaena's head and she's reliving all of her worst memories. She's broken and she's accepting the pain that Sam and Nehemia are giving her because she thinks she deserves it as she failed them. And then she goes to a scene where she sees her parents and Sam and Nehemia and Aelin and they all ask her to get up, but she can't. And one by one they all start calling her a traitor but Aelin keeps sitting beside her, reaching her arm out. I think it signifies really beautifully how everyone ends up hating Celaena for some reason or the other and she accepts their hate even though she loves them. But Aelin always stays with her. She stays even when everyone else's words turn to poison. And that moment when she decides to take Aelin's hand is when Celaena Sardothien dies. Samlaena happy ending besties<3
