The real tragedy of trc was that Gansey didn't have pinterest. I think he could have been a lot happier.

If Gansey were in PJO he would be a child of Aphrodite because how else could you explain the fact that all of his friends were in love with him.

This man wears exclusively boat shoes, pastel polo shirts, and his school uniform. He implied the love of his was a prostitue. He called Ronan his dog. He has the vocabulary of a 70 year old english professor. He’s a loser who I love very much but he should not pull as much as he does.

He’s got to be pretty.

I can imagine Gansey in the future gets a job as a professor of ancient Welsh history at some small prestigious school and starts teaching about Glendower but has to leave so much out.

“-then, Glendower’s corpse was found some years ago and left to the hands of the proper historical authorities.”

“Who found it professor?”

“Well, about that actually-“

Or being interviewed for some scholarly journal about him ACTUALLY discovering Glendowers tomb

“So, Mr.Gansey, how did you know where to find Glendower?”

And he’s mentally freaking out because obviously he can’t say the magic birds and the magic sentient forest his eldritch dream god bestie created led him there in the middle of the night.

So he’s all like “Years of research. I also followed the ley lines and asked a few psychics. And performed a few rituals.”

But apparently that’s also not a good answer because the interviewer looks personally offended.

I don’t know I just really like the idea of Normal Guy Gansey being forced to act like his life isn’t insane and magical. And him pretending to not have died twice, because I know for a FACT that changed him in ways. He’s just slightly more unsettling now. I think I need a whole different post about him coming back to life the second time actually.

I just,, I love the gangsey alot

I feel like we forget sometimes how insane Ronan's crush on Adam was. Like, oh my god? They weren't even dating for most of these... The longing, the yearning, the devotion, the lovesick pining - 10/10, *chef's kiss*, nobody is doing it like him. He loves Adam - lonesome, unknowable Adam - like it's breathing. They make me violently ill.

shout out to the dream thieves gotta be my favourite insane book out there because how am i ever meant to explain two divorces, gay tension between half the cast, a magical forest, kavinsky's existence, whatever the fuck adam is going through, the grey man in general, noah and his lack of existence, dreaming, welsh kings, cars, kidnapping. the list goes on

I finished the raven cycle and I have SO MANY THOUGHTS

this series has the best portrayal of platonic love I've ever seen, the relationships between all the characters felt so natural and incredibly well written. none of the transitions to romantic relationships felt forced because it seemed so obvious "of course they love eachother, EVERYONE loves EVERYONE"

So obviously my love for all of these characters is unmatched but I would commit unspeakable crimes for blue sargent

Piper as an antagonist???? amazing beautiful perfect. her being manipulated by the demon was so cool to see, her transition from being green mantles wife with a semi normal life to "yo dad wassup just murdered my husband and found a new pet *holds up demon* isn't it cute?"

stavinsky may have been a horrible person but he was a super interesting character

Chainsaw is the bestest bird to ever bird

gansey and blues relationship and adam and ronans relationship were both amazing and sweet and perfect

obsessed with opal as a short story, Adam and Ronan get to have these super sweet and sad moments in the background meanwhile opal's telling the real important story: her dangerous quest to drink windshield wiper fluid and honestly I'm here for it

i will give a small bit of criticism: the pacing did feel a little bit rushed in some places and there was some jumping around that didn't make a ton of sense

BUT IM IGNORING THAT BECAUSE SEARCHING FOR A LONG DEAD WELSH KING IS SUCH AN AWESOME STORY CONCEPT

Henry Cheng: amazing 10/10 no criticism I just love him

there were some points where I was ready to crawl through the pages and fight adam's father myself

and finally a fandom note: just learned that the main ship names are bluesey and pynch and that is so amazing I love that so much
