The raven cycle!!!!

Oh I love these guys. Everything about these books, I want to draw them soooo much more (I probably will)!!

Guys I'm back-

It has been a nightmare lately this is the only thing I managed to draw in weeks? Finals and uni stuff that's taking all of my time and energy, slowly turning me into a cafeinated slug (worst part is caffeine doesn't even have an effect on me? I only drink coffee for the TASTE can you imagine). Anyway the rush won't be over until end of January but hopefully I'll be able to ignore the stress and draw anyway :)

don't think how loud gansey cried when ronan tried to kill himself.

don't think about how gansey was scared when niall lynch died.

don't think about how terrified gansey was when matthew was kidnapped . don't think about gansey who prayed even he was an atheist because he knew that ronan wouldn't survive another death.

don't think how bad gansey felt when he discovered noah died for him.

don't think how devastated he was because he didn't know how to help adam.

please, don't think how he suffered when he discovered that noah died for nothing.

just don't think about it.

sometimes ronan thinks he doesn't deserve love.

he knows it's not true but... he jus knows he isn't that good, wise or nice. his words are like knives, he's brutal and he's always angry. but he also is honest, he takes care of everyone and everything and he just loves his family, friends and even people who doesn't deserve it.

on the other hand adam is scared of love.

he grew up in house without love, of course he's scared because of it. he didn't use to know how love looks like. but he loves. he loves gansey. he loves blue. he loves ronan. he loves henry. he loves noah. he even loves his dad. it's riddiculus, robert hurt him and even it's toxic and silly, adam loves him. he loves idea of robert parrish who is a good father.

ronan and adam have something in common — both of them think they don't deserve to be loved. and that's why they're in love with each other. no because of their look or their personality. they fell in love because they understand how feel to think you don't deserve love. it didn't make them stronger, it made them wiser.

(((did i just write a whole ass headcanon bc of my insecurity? yes. did i not regret it? yes.)))

i'm pretty sure that someone already was thinking about it but here we go (also sorry if my english is bad, this isn't my native language!)

after the whole drama with lucio, asra and their husbands (come on, he deserves two handsome guys and i couldn't choose with who i like him better so i choose julian AND muriel<3) have their shop.

things are cool now bc julian is safe and muriel seems to be happier than he was before. asra's parents are alright, nadia is the countness and portia is nadia's wife.

so yes, things are good now. they're happy and safe.

but asra wants something more

and his new apprentice seems so scared and they always wanted to be a father...

so yeah, asra, julian and muriel basically adopt adam parrish.

adam parrish was quite uniqe magician. his powers were strong but he looked terrified because of them.

adam parrish looked like he didn't want those powers.

it was riddiculus to asra - why this teen boy doesn't want his gift?!

here's why - his biological dad was a dick, that's it.

sudenly adam has three dads and that's cool even if they scares him

he's loved and that's okay. they don't scream at him, they don't hurt him.

everything is great. (but he wants the power politics holds, magic doesn't seem that great like politics do)

on the other hand, ronan lynch's life sucks.

his dad just died and the whole city wants him to be a new council.

but he doesn't want to. he is a magician, someone powerful and politics isn't his thing

he always wanted to be someone like asra. someone who use thier power for helping people

but no, something screw up and now he is the suspect of his dad's tragic death

nadia tries to help her ex-husband cousin but it's kinda hard so she called her old team (without the mc bc... idk) plus asra's kid (a.k.a adam)

so when adam sees ronan the first time he thinks that he saw the prettiest boy but then ronan starts talking

he doesn't think that ronan is THAT pretty anymore bc he's an asshole (not in the charismatic julian way, he's just annoying)

just yk the drama vol 2 but with magician who wants to be a politic and politic who wants to be a magician

Okay but like, The Raven Cycle and like every other YA book out there has given me such unrealistic friendship expectations that I'm bound to be alone forever. I will most likely die by being crushed by my own bookshelf. What a way to go.

Ever since the trc graphic novel news came out the only thing I can think about are the gangsey's heights, so here is MY hc on that

I think its described in the books that blue is VERY short and around 5 feet or something but i wanna give her the benefit of doubt so i hc my girl as 5'1 ft (154 cm). Ronan is lanky right? Is he or is he not? Or was it adam that was lanky? Nvm he's still fking tall to me so he's near 6'2 ft (188 cm I think?). Noah also seems to be a bit short. But average. Like mid size. He seems like he's 5'9 ft (179 cm) (I'm gonna ignore the fact that him and gansey are almost the same height in the novel). MOVING on to Adam. He's tall alright. But not as tall as ronan so I think 5'11 or 6 ft (182 cm) Henry's the same height (or atleast near it) NOW. PEOPLE. My beloved. Dick. Gansey. The lll. Is 5'7ft (short king). graphic novels did us short gansey truthers justice. He's pocket sized. And we love him. Yes we do.

Imagine ronan telling the most absurd dark jokes. His humor is so fucked up that it even makes Henry side eye him.

Imagine him telling the gangsey to go change their clothes cuz theyre eating out. And Blue goes like " hey atleast we're presentable dude, you're literally wearing a wifebeater." AND he goes,

"But I'm not wearing parrish's dad wdym"

And everyone's like "......"

Gansey and blue are just sweating, thinking that adam will snap.

And then adam just starts cackling. Like.

"Nice one bro" *wipes a tear*

They both appreciate each other's humor, is my conclusion.

I'm rereading trb right now and the whole blue and adam arc is going on. So in gansey's pov he's constantly being like "uhh why are they so close to each other" or " are they holding hands wth". And he quickly removes these thoughts from his head, cuz he doesn't want to seem negative or pessimistic. But was he jealous of blue stealing his cute best friend or adam flirting with a new hot girl?

no it's cool it's just that richard gansey iii is a king and ronan lynch is his dreamer and adam parrish is his magician and blue sargent is his anchor and noah czerny is his lifeline and henry cheng is his prince among men and it distracted me for a little bit

the raven cycle is so cool. i wish virginia was real 😔
