When Francesca bridgerton is confirmed as a sapphic
“Pen I'm so grateful for what you have done for me”
And what exactly did Penelope do for Eloise ?!? Talk shit about her before even thinking about telling it to her ?!? Wtf is this writing
I just finished the episode “Tick Tock” of Bridgerton and what the actual FUCK. It wasn't THAT bad but Eloise ?!?
I'm sorry but “I wish I could do something" girl ?!? You're telling me you can't help ? Can't talk about it to your family? Mind you nothing would be my priority but helping a girl get out of a marriage with a seventy years old man.
Eloise should have been the villain in season 3
Listen, I'm the biggest Eloise apologist ever but I can't keep on defending her. She should have been the villain and it could have solved SO MUCH of the issues with the stories.
Eloise has been rejected by society the reality hits her hard after Penelope, rightfully, called her on her bullshit with the “not everyone can be a pretty Bridgertons” speech. And when she was at her lowest she learned that her friend is the one that betrayed her.
She was trying to make amends and to listen to her friends... And where did that get her ?
She's tired of society, she's tired of trying to fit in she just doesn't care. She's mean, she's unapologetic, she laughs when a suitor asks her to dance with him. She's gone. Because what's the point anyways ? She has already lost everything.
There's a lack of drama ? Eloise will GIVE that drama right into the household. Plus I mean a Bridgeton villain? With their capacity to get away with everything ? And it frustrates her because she's just proving Penelope right but she can't stop, she's on a rampage.
And here comes Cressida, always the mean girl, who sees in Eloise the reflection of what she is inside and she makes the first step towards her. What's more beautiful than her and Eloise both evolving out of this cycle, maturing hands in hands.
Eloise learns that people CAN change and as Penelope doesn't write about any of her wrong doing, she starts to see the light.
But she doesn't need to become directly bff with Penelope again, it's not realistic. People change and mature (which is an undertones of this season I'm kinda seeing ?). Things will never be the same again.
Also their friendship wasn't benefiting for none of them. Penelope and Eloise need to make their own space their own friends and grow.
The good news about this is that I'm getting TONS of idea for my rewrite lol
I didn't even watch a full episode and WTF ?!? ELOISE ?!? YOUR NEW BFF IS TELLING YOU THAT SHE'S GOING TO GET ENGAGED TO A GRANDPA ?!? Why aren't you doing anything ?!?
Like that is character assassination
First of I want to say that it is in no way me bashing Julia Quinn. She has wrote a popular book series that she managed to put on the screen and for that she deserves alot of respect.
BUT
The books are a hot messes for many, many, many reasons, the three last one are ok but still quite questionable.
(I am obviously in no way claiming to be a better writter or that what I'll do will be good but I decided to rewrite and change what I didn't like and what I think could do better. )
Important information about this rewrite :
As I had hard time with honestly any of the love interest, ESPECIALLY, the boys one (with the exception of my boy Gregory, you were boring but cute) and that I felt like the women character had honestly a waste of potential I will change all of them a LOT. I will also rant about why I didn't like them in the first place.
As the books are so messy I also consider the series as canon and I have a lot of confusion about the way the society and great experiments was done ?! Like honestly WASTED potential.
This will NOT be historically accurate my dear friends purely fictional as I'll state multiple time.
I always thought Nicola was beautiful but DAMN!!! s3 Penelope is next level hot.
Get ready to fight,Colin, i'll steal your girl.
Is it too much to ask for Penelope and Benedict to be besties?!?! Like that’s my EN duo right there! Like Pen and Ben the iconic duo! Like they would judge people so hard!!! 😔😔😔
PENELOPE IS THAT BITCH AND SHE WILL ALWAYS BE THAT BITCH YALL WISH YOU COULD SERVE CUNT AS HARD AS SHE DOES 🗣️‼️‼️‼️
Ready to defend Penelope Featherington from all of you haters:
Ngl guys if I didn’t know any better I would have thought….anyways
💙Polin Week💛 day five | Nic and Luke Appreciation Day AND Height Difference
I can’t wait for season 3
Them:
Me :
@playydohh I misremembered the scene at the end of romancing Mr Bridgerton, but at the end, Colin and Pen reveal Whistledown's identity, which was the whole idea behind this tease. It doesn't have to be Polin, but Bridgerton at the very least.
I’m sorry, but if at the end of Bridgerton S3 doesn’t have Pen and Colin hosting a masquerade ball and Benedict dancing with a woman in silver and her running away at the end of the episode and her butler/maid friend asks her; “Everything alright, Miss Beckett?” and then the episode cuts to black. I. Will. Riot.
Just RSVPd to this, knowing fully well that I will have to stay up until 1am on a school night to do this, and I will most likely get in trouble.
So, I know we all remember that ICONIC scene of Queen Charlotte talking to her children in 1x01 (I think), well, my school nurse had to give a sex assembly to the grade 11s and the way she started it off was saying; "alright, I would like to start with a little exercise, virgins to the right of my, everyone else to the left of me." everyone burst out laughing.
Also, I don’t want Marina’s death to be at the beginning of the Philoise season, I don’t want it to be framed as a selfish woman leaving behind a husband and twin children, I don’t want her death to be the “freedom” for Phillip to get to be happy, I don’t want her death to be character development for Phillip to pay attention to his kids or some other bullshit.
What I want is for Marina to go happily. What I want is Marina to say goodbye to her children and make them promise to be good. What I want is Phillip to mourn Marina, not as his wife, but as a companion, the love of his brother’s life, and the mother of his adopted children. What I want is Phillip to take his time in finding Eloise, to find love, but still visit Marina’s grave once a month and tell her children all about their mum and their dad and how much their parents loved them and he loves them.
I am a simple person, I want Shondaland and Netflix to handle a woman’s suicide in a gentle way and not as a plot device or disgrace Marina, I want Marina to find peace. Marina deserves to go how she wants to go.
I. Will. Riot.
YES!!!!!!!! That would be perfect!

"they do seem upset, do they not? eros and psyche battling it out."
colin and penelope have me by a chokehold this season!! here's some art of them inspired by antonio canova's sculpture psyche revived by cupid's kiss.
Me, when Penelope ruined Colin with this "YoU MisSed Me, Mr. BriDgHeRtOn?" leaving this bread loaf of a man completely destroyed
So, I watched Bridgerton S3 and I have to say although not bad by itself, compared to the previous seasons it's a downgrade.
Some of the biggest writing inconsistencies I noticed for Pen are:
Firstly, in S1, her actions towards Marina (as wrong as they were) could still be understood as her looking out for her friend by not letting him get into a marriage without all the facts. But in this season, she does the exact same thing Marina does, get into an engagement with Colin without revealing her LW identity. This just made her look like a hypocrite.
Secondly, if I remember correctly, in S2 her reasoning for outing Eloise is that the Queen would never believe Pen if she confessed. But in S3 she does exactly that and the Queen not only believes her but also absolves her of all consequences. So, what even was the point of outing Eloise?
Thirdly, Pen's claim that LW tells the truth made me laugh. I don't know why they made her say that. It gave me the ick. She publishes gossip, not truth. It's dangerous to equate the two.
I love Pen as a character. She is flawed, makes mistakes and that makes her interesting. The girlbossification arc with her giving that speech at her sister's ball just did not land for me. Pen struggled with feeling loved and desired, so imo they should have focused on that, instead LW takes the lead and Polin takes a backseat.
The whole Cressida shit show. How am I supposed to not root for her after knowing how she was raised and what circumstances she was facing?
Eloise turning away from her when Cressida needed her the most. That's character assassination of Eloise. It could have been a moment of growth for her. But bad writing strikes again.
Violet and Edmund's first meet parallel with Francesca and Michaela would have been very cute if Michaela had the tongue-tied reaction instead of Fran.
The atrocious costuming! Not asking for accuracy, just maintain the aesthetic established in previous seasons. There's only so far you can stray before it breaks immersion.
It just felt like the show had shifted genres. Previous seasons were romance with a pinch of drama. This season felt like drama with a pinch of romance. I don't know if that makes sense.
I hope Ben's season turns out better.
So I finally had a day off and could wacth season 3 of Bridgerton and oh.my.god. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.So three things before I get into the meat of it. First of all, I sincerely hope that Violet and Lady Danburys brother get a chance to connect more MAMA VIOLET DESERVES LOVE TOO! Seecond the fact that Anthony cannottt keep his hands off Kate is so hilarious to me like get awf that lady and let her breathe. And third Francesa being a subtle autism rep is so amazing to me, as an autizzy person myself seeing someone with the same mannerisms as me within a romance setting is so refreshing like it truly puts joy in my heart. And also the sign language in the first episode???? love itttttt, they truly perfected diversity without shoehorning it.
Now to the meattttttt of it.
Now friends to lovers has never personally been my thing and in terms of each bridgerton show im gonna rank this leason my second least favorite but thats NOT to say I dont like it I very much enjoyed this season but i do have my critiques.
1
While I get a giggle out of Pen's sisters I cannot stand her family as a whole, for the simple fact that they treat her as if no one would EVER want her just because she plus sized and has "odd interest" in their words, it infuriated me how her mother wanted Pen to say yes not because she was happy for her but because she truly thought this would be Pen's only chance. Despite my disliking her family it was a good plot point for her to finally decide to make a change and put herself out there. I feel like in her previous two seaons for her she didnt put herself out there because, as weve seen, she has a huge lack of confidence that it was more than likely the work of her mothers and her sisters doing. I also loveeee the wardrobe change from bright gaudy colors and patterns to more Bridgerton esqe colors in her wardrobe. The wardrobe in Bridgerton has always amazed me but putting Pen in that light blue was amazinggg she was gorgeous and glowing. Even her sisters were eating this season like props to wardrobe and makeup bc they ate. Im so worried to see whats going to happen when Collin eventually finds out shes lady whistle down like omgggg.

I don't hate Eloise and Cressida NOW HEAR ME OUT OKAY. Cressida is still not a good person at all but I'm so glad we got to see more of her character bc it definitely shed light into why she acts that way. It would be completely ignorant to sit there and believe that the pressures of the ton to be perfect and find husbands quickly and avoid scandal WOULDNT make the girls get a little nasty with each other. The pressure from her parents specifically made me go "Oh girl I think id get nasty too if those were my folks." In no way does it excuse her treatment of Pen tho!! I also liked that it was Cressida who clocked Eloise's tea about her pointing fingers immediately at her when Pen got exsposed. Not to mention when the girlies came to Cressida for tea SISTA DID NOT FOLD!!!! She politely said naur and kept it pushing. Like I understand Cressida was neverrr the nicest and was a gossip but if Eloise decided to hang around her then she shoulda had faith in the girl. Like Eloise I love you but doooo betterrrr. Don't get me wrong at all yall Eloise is my fav but I'm glad people are clocking her for her shittt. I hope Cressida and Elosie stay friends but they constantly build off of each other to be better bc I loved how Eloise made her dislike of Cressida's treatment towards Pen known.
2.5
This is so unrelated but i love bennedict BAD hes sooooo idk yall I need him.

COLLIN BRIDGERTON IM HERE TO CLOCK YOUR TEA.
Imma be real I might be bitter bc I feel like Pen shoulda made that man grovel. After what he said about her to his friends in the previous season he should have been on his hands and knees BEGGING for her forgiveness she let him off too easy. Also I don't really appreciate that it took another man giving Pen attention for his stupid ass to finally be like "Oh shed kinda bad actually." I ALSO don't like how when he described how he liked Pen as a friend it wasn't because of her actual qualities it was how she made HIM feel. "You're always here to listen to me and give me a new perspective!" Sir you could have just said she was very insightful, you enjoy her company SOMETHING other than a service she has done for you. That why Im glad he was suffering so bad every time he saw them together he was SICK to his stomach and I'm here for it.
All in all I cant wait to see how things go down next bc I think everyine is gonna reap what they sow Pen, Collin, Eloise EVERYONE. bc the sneak peak looked crazyyyyyy.
Anyways the next thing I should post will be the Finnal Gambit the last book in the trilogy of the hawthorn legacy series.
See yall later!
Was thinking about the daffodil field scene in bridgerton with eloise and pen and i wont lie if i was eloise i would have been like "what are we" coz that shit was crazy romantical.
Like as a blind viewer that hasnt (and will not) read the books, to me, sitting in a field of flowers, under the moonlight, having a deep conversation, i would think im getting proposed to
And bridgerton isnt stranger to tropey romance cliches so you could colour me surprised (disappointed) when those girls didnt kiss
Anyway, peneloise shipper 4lyfe 🤞🤞🤞🤞
In this AU Penelope wasn't as close to the Bridgerton as she is in the original. Because they're not neightborgs, El and Pen never got really close. I still think that she fell for Colin because both in the TV series and in the show they met by accident while they were children, the only difference is that since she didn't get to know him they didn't became friend until way later.
So back to the Marina situation, I think that since they weren't as close she wouldn't have reveal Marina's secret on Lady Whistledown BUT she would have tried to convince her not to do it because it wasn't right and she still liked Colin and he didn't deserve to be deceived like that. So we still had the speach were Marina told Penelope to give up because Colin didn't see her like a woman.
I like to think that by then Cressida and Penelope had grown closer so this time she went to Cressida and told her what happen. Cressida started the rumor of Marina being pregnant. Penelope didn't tell her anything but Cressida wasn't stupid she noticed more things especialy now that she spend more time at the Featherington's house. Then Penelope had to report it in the whistledown afterward.
Cressida never liked Marina. She saw her friendship with Penelope as tresspassing on her relationship with Penelope. She wouldn't admit it at this point but she vallued Pen as a friend, since she struggle to make friend and since she had a bad attitude she was scarred Pen might prefer Marina. So it was some kind of revenge against her.
I want to expand on this AU where the featherington are the Cowper's AU.
Like I said before, at first Cressida and Penelope weren't friend. Cressida was just another bully, just like her sisters. But being far from the bridgerton she had to confront them more often than not. I think in their childhood Cressida would value Prudence and Philipa's friendship more because they seem that they would be more popular once on the marriage market. I headcanon that in her childhood years her parents, mainly her mother, were nicer to her. But unlike Portia, lady cowper didn't want to shield her daughter from the harsh reality. She told her that her main goal before entering the marriage market was to surround herself with people that would elevate status.
Cressida would look down on Prudence and Philipa but with Penelope it was worst. She wasn't that unpleasing to the eye but her eloquence was lacking.
At some point Cressida's grand mother dies, she was the only member of her family who was affectionnate to her, it affected Cressida greatly and the only one who noticed was Penelope. She offered her a silent support that she needed most at that time. She acted less vile against her after that. They truly became friend close to their first season. I think during the first or second ball of the season. It had been really hard on both of them and Cressida was acting particularly vile that night wich had become rare. Penelope actually snaped and told her what she had on her heart.
They had a back and forth that made them realise they had more in common that they thought. They started to become friend after that. When Cressida's parent ask why she would surround herself with the likes of Penelope Featherington, she simply said that it would paint her in a better light and enhance her beauty. Her mother had doubt about that but her father couldn,t care less. The only thing he wanted was for his daughter to find a husband as quick as possible so he can get rid of her.
Their friendship is really diffrent from Pen and Eloïse's friendship. For Pen and El, their friendship was always comfortable, kind of like a refuge especially for Pen. But with Cressida it's more of an understanding, they are both in very grounded in their reality but with very diferent views of their futur.
I like to think that in their first season they were less worried about their futur. Penelope was still hopefull and dreaming that Colin would one day reciprocate her feelings, and Cressida was certain she would find a husband easily in her first season. Cressida wanted a high prize, she wanted the prince, she aim and she missed, witch was even more upseting concidering that Daphne didn't even marry the prince afterward.
The end of their first season was hard on both of them, but since Pennelope had shown support for her when her grand mother died Cressida decided to do the same. During that time, in-between season, they became really close.
I've been thinking about what a friendship between Penelope and Cressida would look like.
Imagine if, instead of being the Bridgerton's neightbors, the featheringtons lived next to the Cowpers.
Like at first it would be horrible for Pen, I don't think ske would have become as close to Eloïse as she was canonically. In their childhood Cressida would have probably joined Pen's sisters in their bullyinh of Pen BUT at some point I feel like some kind of understanding would have come for both of them.
Like Philipa and Prudence are mean but also really dumb and Cressida would have grow exasperated of them and would have reconize that Pen was the smarter one betwenn all the featherington's sisters. Cressida already pay more attention to Pen that Eloïse (notice how in s3e4 we learn that Cressida noticed the crush Pen had on Colin).
And I think Pen would have noticed the way Cressida's parents treat her at some point.
I can see a complicated but none the less sincere friendship between the two of them. Cressida would have catch on Pen being lady whistledown a lot sooner too.
I binged bridgerton season 3 and…
DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE HOW COLIN USED HIS CLEAN FINGERS TO FIX PENELOPE’S DRESS??? COME ON😭😭
