What got you into drawing? My mom! She used to draw for me when I was a little kid. And I always wanted to draw as good as see can. (shes no artist and doesn't do any art today)

Are there any pieces that are old but you're still proud of them? yes a big traditional artwork I did in uh... 2017? sorry just the kinda compressed photo I still have saved from IG, don't have a better pic of it rn. But I think it should be somewhere on my tumblr too.

What advice would you give to artists still trying to improve? to step out of you comfort zone. This is something that was holding me back for quite a long time. e.g. species and anatomy you usually don't draw and have no experience with. Using reference and the like. Basic stuff any artists would probably tell you xD

How did you think of ideas for your characters' world? honestly it's just daydreaming stuff that develops on it's own. Can't give any other answer than that. It's kinda unexplainable to me :'D

Which oc has your favorite color palette? I don't know honestly.. I like them all quite a lot. I don't really have a favorite color palette overall other than my favorite color being aqua which quite a few of my ocs have. But if I have to pick.. Niche. dark and galaxy is pretty c:

I think there are so many amazing bases you could draw in season 9 and this current season.

Grian's, Gem's, False's and Pearl's season 9 bases were iconic imo, and there's also the Decked Out castle. You could also go for the Post Office this season or Bdubs' frankly Ghibli style home, Keralis' vacation spot, or Joel's Japanese steampunk city.

These are such good ideas!! I'm gonna try and do one per season, maybe from season five onwards, so I have five artworks. I would love to do the decked out castle, I'll have to think over some of the other seasons. Although mumbo's base in season 7 was so so good.

I also did wonder if maybe I did five artworks of hermitcraft or maybe six/seven artworks of the life series. One representing each winner. Example:

- Grian/season 1: monopoly Mountain castle, sun motifs

-Scott/season 2: the cottage he and his allies based in, star motifs

-Pearl/season 3: her tower, moon motifs

-Martyn/season 4: The mean gills base (I cannot remember the name pls don't hate me), a mars motif? It'll be hard to include the planet in this one. But I can work it out.

-Scar/season 5: trader scars with the sun flower field, earth mofti

-Joel/season 6: Car

They won't be portraits but think of landscaping paintings. Like a mix of Claude Monet mixed with Van Gogh. It would be the same style for the hermitcraft artworks aswell.

Як користуватися гештегами на тамблері і нащо це потрібно??? (і ще трошки про порівняння твіттера і тамблера)

У реблозі до мого допису про порівняння ТВІТТЕР/ТАМБЛЕР @fernsensei​ (а також багато інших людей) дуже доречно зауважила про традицію ставити хештеги при реблозі чужого допису:

… і дійсно, я повсякчас зустрічаю тут таку традицію. Звісно, це нова річ, не присуща твіттеру, до якої треба звикати, але дотримуватися етикету теж важливо! І річ не тільки в етикеті. Це також спрощує вашу навігацію по власному блогу для себе і для інших. Нащо це потрібно?🧐 Це знову ж таки випливає з різниці користування твіттером і тамблером. В твіттері ви досі рідко або взагалі не шукали більшість своїх старих постів або реблогів без якоїсь вагомої причини. Тим паче цього не робили ваші підписники. Все ж таки твіттер - це спосіб розповсюдження інформації. Там простіше і ефективніше написати новий твіт чи оприлюднити картинку наново, ніж ретвітити старе. Я неодноразово впевнювалась, що ретвіт старих робіт ажніяк не привертає до них більше уваги! Але на тамблері, де ви ведете свій блог/щоденник, дотримуєтеся певної теми чи естетики, пишете дописи/тексти, які можете захотіти переглянути знову, оновити в пам’яті, знову ними насолодитися як якимись улюбленими фотографіями, у вас може виникнути потреба знайти їх серед купи інших своїх дописів, а по хештегу це зробити простіше всього! А при реблозі чужого допису - тим паче!  Якщо у вас виникне ✨настрій✨, ви значно спростите собі насолоду мемами, артами, чужими розповідями про їхні гедканони ваших спільних фд, які ви реблогнули, якщо поставите відповідний тег. Тобто, окрім усіх інших можливих гештегів, вам можуть знадобитися і власні типу #мої твори, #мої малюнки, #моя творчість тощо. Чи будь-які інші, що маркерують ваші дописи. ***  А, раптом, ви не знаєте, що ставити?..

Звісно, на будь-який допис як на мене доречно ставити 💕#укртумбочка💕 Цей тег існує, аби “втікачі” з твіттера могли знайти один одного як твіттерська діаспора на тамблері, але також він чудово справляється з задачею виокремити 👁👄👁укртамблер 👍 споміж усіх користувачів. Особисто я шукаю тут українців, які пишуть українською, тому мені цей гештег дуже допомагає, бо я знаю, що за цим тегом точно їх знайду!  Але особисто мені одної укртумбочки не вистачає і я ставлю на свої дописи інші гештеги, за якими мене тут можна знайти як україномовного блогера. Вам теж пропоную використовувати щось або все з цього списку💛💙: #укртамблер, #український tumblr, #українська мова, #український блог, #українська, #українською, #україна, #україномовний блог, #україна #ukraine  …тощо

Письменникам і фікрайтерам рекомендую такі гештеги✍:

Для репрезентації української спільноти на тамблері також дуже не вистачає тегів типу:

Беззаперечно, я рекомендую також ставити різні відповідні до допису гештеги англійською, але також і українською. Хоча це також на ваш власний вибір.

Ви могли б помітити, що україномовного контенту тут покищо обмаль і канал україномовної навігації (тобто україномовного тегування дописів) не облаштований.

Якщо ви створили новий щоденник, хочете вести його українською і знаходити таких самих україномовних користувачів, то було б чудово якби ви не гребували україномовними тегами також! (Тобто, якщо ви робите допис по фанхаті Гаррі Поттер, ставте не тільки #harry potter але й #гаррі поттер.)

Звісно, якщо ви орієнтуєтеся на англомовну аудиторію, пишете дописи англійською, то англомовні теги допоможуть англомовним користувачам вас знайти. 

Хоча зараз з масовою міграцією з твіттера вчинилася потужна хвиля взаємної підписки українських користувачів на українських. Саме тому, коли я зустрічаю в стрічці когось з твіттера, хто дописує англійською мені трохи дивно. Як на мене, якщо ми тут знайшли один одного як українці і цікаві один одному тому що ми українці, то очевидніше було б спілкуватися один з одним українською мовою чи не так? 

Я просто хочу сказати, що якщо наразі ваша аудиторія - українці, то їм було б приємніше, якби ви зверталися до них у дописах українською. Так вони б розуміли, що це

для них

. І тоді вони б давали вам більше фідбеку!

I finally finished yesterday's drawing! I promise i'll make them a little easier😂; so the prompt was "BLADE" and the doom slayer sword was the perfect subject for me and so... Anders at Reds Gallery

I also went to the opening of Anders' exhibition 'The Art of Subtle Collection' at Reds Gallery, 21 Dawson Street, Dublin 2 D02 TK33. The venue was busy. Plenty of people came. Anders' digital artworks were colourful and detailed. My two favourite artworks were abstract compositions of rectangles and stripes executed in warm colours. Anders' exhibition will run until Wed 14th May 2025. Reds Gallery is located up a few flights of stairs but is worth the climb.

Michael Canning at Oliver Sears

I attended the opening the Michael Canning's exhibition 'Les Yeux' tonight at the Oliver Sears Gallery, 33 Fitzwilliam Square Upper, Dublin 2 tonight. The event was quiet and informal. I loved Micheal's paintings of plants set against plain backgrounds. The fine detail of the twigs and leaves contrasted with the simplicity of sky and minimalist landscapes. His three small paintings of tree trunks intrigued me. To my eye, they were a new development in his work. His exhibition will run until 13th June 2025.

John Short at Solomon

I attended the opening of John Short's exhibition 'Horizons' at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 tonight. The venue was packed.

I enjoyed viewing John's loose and spontaneous paintwork. He painted his paintings with watercolours and ink while including collage in some of them. My favourite paintings were wide and panoramic.

He had included four large ceramic pieces in his exhition. It was nice to see that he was trying a new medium to work in.
