Anti Viserys I Targaryen - Blog Posts

Let’s start to hold Viserys accountable for how his children turned out not just their mother.

everyone’s like “ ha ha daeron’s kind because he wasn’t raised by alicent” but guess who else he wasn’t raised by? viserys. he wasn’t raised in an environment where he was a second thought always to his father. he didn’t see the abuse his mother and siblings faced from viserys. not absolving alicent of her questionable parenting but viserys f*cked up the green kids just as much if not more and daeron was spared of that.

viserys : marries a 14yo without her consent, has 4 children with her that pose a threat to rheanyra's reign and will be killed once she takes the throne, refuses to change his heir or marry his firstborn daughter to his firstborn son to prevent a succession crisis, neglects his children, doesn't prepare his chosen heir for her role and ignores her mistakes, doesn't even try to make peace, appoints his son's grandfather as his hand knowing damn well that he wants his grandson on the throne and allows him to take control of the capitol, thinks that one dinner solves 20 years of hatred, dies

the dance of the dragon : happens

TB stans : this is all alicent's fault! and if you disagree then you hate women.

Labour by Paris Paloma is for Alicent Hightower and Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo is for Rhaenyra Targaryen. Just for if anyone was wondering.

Thinking about how it’s canon that Viserys knew Otto was forcing Alicent to read to him and comfort him and talk to him and yet he was so selfish and so pleased by the fact that she was giving him attention that he just…went along with it?

Like he knew that marrying Laena, a girl three years younger than Alicent was wrong, and he KNEW that Otto was forcing Alicent into that position and he just…didn’t care. He forced her into a marriage she didn’t want, forced three kids on her before she turned twenty, and then proceeded to not only ignore her but ignore his children by her because they didn’t turn out the way he wanted them to.

Thinking about how he started to resent Alicent the moment she showed up in Green at the wedding because she dared to have a mind of her own. And how that led to him neglecting her and her children (because they are hers) for sixteen years.

I hope Viserys Targaryen is rotting in the depths of hell.

Ok so here’s the thing. I love both Alicent and Rhaenyra, but my love of them is very different. I think they are both extremely interesting characters.

But the difference between them for me is this:

With Alicent, I genuinely believe that she is a good person. Like everything she’s done I completely understand, and it’s always been with the intention of defending herself, her children, or Rhaenyra. But you guys probably know how much I love Alicent by now and this post is mostly about Rhaenyra so I’m gonna move on.

With Rhaenyra, I think she’s more morally gray. She’s done some things that I would definitely label as bad. I wouldn’t call her a good person. Honestly, I agree that she’s selfish. But that’s part of the reason why I like her.

The thing is, she’s a victim just like Alicent. It’s just that she’s less victimized in the show, and amongst her own fans. (For some reason people think being a victim makes you less of a girlboss, but whatever).

Just like Alicent, she had a crusty old man grooming her.

And Viserys and Otto weren’t exactly the same, but they were certainly both shitty fathers.

My point being, I definitely feel sympathy for her. And she’s not the villain.

The similarity between Alicent and Rhaenyra is that they were both young girls who were groomed and manipulated by the men in their lives. But the difference is the results of this.

Alicent was made to be more mature than her age. She was exposed to some very harsh realities very early on. And now she’s paranoid and pessimistic. So of course she’s scared for her life and the lives of her children.

Rhaenyra was made to be more childish. Viserys made it so that she never had to face any consequences. And Daemon has tried to keep her powerless and immature. And now, as a grown woman, she’s extremely disconnected from reality. While Alicent is overly aware of how in danger she is, Rhaenyra is incredibly naive and oblivious.

I don’t really know what else to say. I guess I just needed to rant a little. Basically the point I’m trying to make is that Rhaenyra antis annoy me because she was a victim and she’s not evil or dumb, but Rhaenyra Stans that make her out to be a saint also annoy me because she’s far from perfect, and she’s far from selfless.

I don't want a "friends to enemies to lovers" rhaenicent fic I want a fic where Rhaenyra realizes both their dads are pieces of shit and defends her friend right now.

EXACTLY NO ONE UNDERSTANDS 😭

Like if she was mad about the sex then she would have told people and gotten Rhaenyra and Criston in trouble. But we see that she has no problem with Criston after he admits to her that he had sex with Rhaenyra. In fact, she stops him from killing himself and becomes allies with him. She didn’t care about the sex, she just wanted honesty.

And this was when Alicent was starting to get paranoid because she was realizing that she was on her own, and her father was trying to put all these crazy ideas in her head that she couldn’t trust Rhaenyra.

Rhaenyra not telling Alicent about Criston when Alicent gave her the chance proved that Rhaenyra wasn’t 100% trustworthy, and was willing to lie to everyone. If she broke that rule, how many more would she break?

And sure, murdering children is a big leap away from having sex, but it’s her and her children’s lives on the line. I mean, would you gamble with your children’s lives just to support someone who ignored you and blamed you when you were forced to marry an old man as a child, who you now know has lied to you, on the chance that she might be forgiving you for something that was never your fault? Probably not.

Also I understand why Rhaenyra was upset with Alicent. She herself was a child and was obviously not in the right mindset to judge who the true victim was. This is not an anti-Rhaenyra post, I’m not criticizing her reaction to Viserys and Alicent’s marriage. I’m just trying to say that from Alicent’s point of view, it probably seemed like no one was genuine and that they wouldn’t hesitate to leave her in the dust in times where she would be vulnerable. (Which to an extent, is true.)

the way people think alicents decision to choose her own family was just because rhaenyra slept with criston, when it’s actually because she realized rhaenyra no longer trusts her enough to share the truth with her… and if rhaenyra doesn’t trust her how can she put the safety of herself and her children into rhaenyras hands and leave their fates to her mercy… she has to choose herself and her children or else no one will

Questions I would like to ask Rhaenyra, part 3

I don't need sleep or mental health, I need ANSWERS

1) Why, for God’s sake, did you personally and all alone go find out who saddled Seasmoke? If it weren’t Addam, who for some reason was loyal to you (for what reason, by the way? He saw you for the first time in his life, and doesn’t owe you anything), but for example Daemion or Daeron, you know, sons of Vaemond Velaryon, whom your husband viciously beheaded? Do you think they'd gladly bend their knee? Let's be honest, ma'am, Seasmoke would make a kebab out of Syrax in a 1vs1 fight, you risked ending the war in favor of the greens.

2) What would you have done if Laenor hadn't been so loyal and obedient? If he'd seen Jace and asked "Who's white baby is that? Definitely not mine, daddy would skin me alive if I tried to say opposite"? Or if he hadn't agreed to leave his family in their time of need after losing his sister, and hadn't agreed to your fake death plan? What would you have done then, huh?

3) What if Rhaenys had refused to go along with your "perfect" plan to betroth your children to her granddaughters? She doesn't like you, after all, and for good reason. What if she had decided that supporting you had cost the Velaryons too much (which is true), and had said that Corlys had changed his mind and chosen Baela as his heir? Or even announced to everyone that Corlys was disowning your snow-white children?

4) What if Baela had turned out to be as much of a racist ass as her daddy? What if she had decided that sleeping with Strong was beneath her because she was a true Valyrian and he was a filthy half-breed? What if your grandson was born red-haired, or Asian, or looked like Alicent's son Daeron (this one is a joke… or is it?)? Only you are allowed to have consensual sex with the man of your choice, while the rest are supposed to suffer?

5) What was your plan for Aegon and Viserys? Traditionally, the "extra" sons became septons or maesters, do you agree with that? Does Daemon agree? If not, what are their roles in future? They are the most Valyrian-looking of your children, their existence sabotaging Jace's legacy.

6) Do you ever regret marrying Daemon? In season 2, you seem constantly unhappy with his presence, he undermines your authority at every turn - he is partly the reason why your Small Council does not respect you. Laenor at least acknowledged your authority. Do you regret this "exchange"?

7) How can you trust Mysaria so easily when she has proclaimed herself the protector of the smallfolks? Rhaenys killed hundreds and wounded thousands at Aegon's coronation, Daemon… is Daemon, you killed dozens of innocent dragonseeds for one dragon rider. You all have no regard for human life. Or is it okay because she's sexy and tells sad stories?

8) What was your script for meeting Alicent at the sept? You went in there with certain expectations, but if this woman hadn't been humiliated by the scriptwriters with every breath she took, Alicent would have called the guards in a heartbeat. You risked everything… for what? What was the original plan?

9) Question for the book and show versions of Rhaenyra - are you happy with each other? Is the show version not irritated by Rhaenyra's femininity and her "weakness" in not trying to fight every possible battle? Is the book version not disgusted by Rhaenyra's hypocritical righteousness and attempt to gain respect by adopting traditional male characteristics?

10) Are you able to admit that your marriage to Laenor was entirely your own fault? Viserys gave you the chance to choose your own husband, but since the suitors weren't Daemon, you rejected them all. And then you disgraced yourself with Daemon in a brothel and with Criston in your chambers. Yes, Viserys was covering up his own political mistakes with this marriage, but if you had decided on the tour that Harwin Strong was the one you wanted, there wouldn't have been a farce of a marriage to a gay. Viserys could have simply chosen him for you, but even he knew that a swordswallower was not the best option for a princess who needed heirs, and this was a last resort after your antics. Do you ever regret how you behaved on that tour?

Plot bunny - Battle of the Bastards 0.5

Unlike my usual bunnies, there won't be a whole piece of text here, this one will be more of a set of microtexts, since the goal of the bunny is to be small, and here there will be a whole plot horse, if you give me freedom.

* * *

Rhaenyra received her throne surprisingly without the slightest resistance. Moreover, when she, having received a raven with a message about her father's death, rushed headlong to King's Landing, she did not see either Alicent or her children.

There was no treasury either.

"What do you mean they ran away?!" raged her beloved husband Daemon, demanding answers that no one had.

Being the cowardly dogs that they are, the eldest of Alicent's spawn convinced the rest of his family not to fight the rightful heir for the throne, and fled under cover of night, taking their dragons, the entire treasury and even several relics - including the crown of Aegon the Conqueror and Blackfyre.

Their tracks were lost in Pentos, where Daemon still had connections and pursuing them was not possible - fighting four adult dragons would mean that she would have to leave Westeros, and there was no way she could do that, with her upcoming coronation and her current pregnancy.

Let them rot in the seven hells, buried under stolen gold - Rhaenyra has more important things to do than look for traitors.

* * *

Unfortunately, ruling was something Rhaenyra was not fully prepared for.

Of course, there were circumstances that made ruling difficult - one of her first orders was to raise taxes, which did not earn her the love of the smallfolk.

She tried to get additional money from her vassals, but the richest - the Velaryons and Lannisters - could not help her. The Velaryons paid for the coronation and gave several hundred thousand gold dragons, but this was a drop in the ocean from the previous wealth of the crown and could not pay for all needs. The Lannisters even referred to difficult times and even Daemon's threats did not help to get money.

Daemon even had to go to Braavos and ask for a loan from the Iron Bank. He returned terribly dissatisfied - the crown was denied a loan, and threats did not work again. Her husband even threw an ugly tantrum in their chambers when he returned home.

In addition, this pregnancy was harder for her than the previous ones. But Rhaenyra was sure it was just her age and the fact that she was expecting Visenya - girls were harder than boys, weren't they?

Perhaps a small feast would help. It would cheer up Daemon and Jace, who had been complaining about the increased workload of his studies lately.

* * *

Visenya's birth marked the end of Queen Rhaenyra's short reign, which had lasted less than half a year. Having given birth to an ugly, monstrous baby almost a month premature, the queen died a few days later, perishing in childbed fever.

Her heir, Prince Jacaerys Targaryen, ascended the throne with his queen Baela, combining the coronation and wedding to save money from the never-replenished treasury.

* * *

It had not been easy to rule for Jace, though he could only admit that to Baela and his brothers. Daemon, having lost Rhaenyra, had gone on a rampage, ignoring his stepsons and his own children, spending his time in brothels and taverns, drowning his sorrows in wine, whores, fights, and flying on Caraxes.

The treasury was still empty, and the realm was constantly grumbling under the high taxes. Jace was constantly tired from juggling ruling and his lessons, and he periodically made mistakes that the Small Council corrected, making him feel humiliated. The loss of his mother still felt like a physical wound on his soul.

But the worst of it?

The Small Council and the courtiers did not show him the respect he deserved. Of course, he couldn’t specifically point his finger at the dismissive attitude, but it was felt. In their looks, in their movements, in their silences.

They all thought Jace unworthy of the throne because he was a bastard.

Jace almost ordered the execution of some of the most outspoken in their disgust, but Grandmother Rhaenys talked him out of it. Baela was also all for demonstrating power through violence, too much like her father in that regard.

So Jace can only seethe in silence, sometimes taking it out on his wife and family, unable to do anything about it.

He is his mother's rightful heir, he is the blood of a dragon, he is a dragon rider, he is the ancestor of the promised prince - so why should he suffer the humiliation of sheep?

* * *

The delicate balance collapses with the death of Daemon.

The murder of Daemon.

Having gone on one of his sprees, he was eventually found in one of the alleys of Flea End, with his throat slit and his pockets emptied.

The Dark Sister has also disappeared.

As has Caraxes, who leaves the Dragonpit just three days after the death of his rider, with an unknown man with silver-gold hair on his back.

* * *

It's a cliffhanger ending, but that's how it was intended, thank you very much.

I actually have no idea where the story is going, so if someone decides to adopt the story, I'd love to read their take on it.

Here's what's left out. Daemon met his end at the hands of his own bastard - or bastard by Viserys, his mother couldn't say for sure. The boy was named Bael, but he chose to change his name to Baelon, more regal and therefore more worthy of him. So it's not Bael Waters who's claiming Caraxes, but Baelon Darksister, claimant to the Iron Throne.

He decided that if there's a bastard on the throne, why not another bastard try his hand at being king? Rhaenyra is dead, Daemon met his end at his hands, the Greens are gone from sight. His only threat is Rhaenys and Meleys, the other dragons are too small to stand against him and Caraxes.

Westeros is set for another Dance of the Dragons, this time between the Blacks and the Reds, and the outcome is not as clear as it seems, given that Baelon has raised his own army under his own banner - a black dragon on a scarlet background. An army of outcast bastards like himself, ready to take what is due to them - after all, if the crown now belongs to one bastard, why can't another bastard become a lord or the next king?

Questions I would like to ask Rhaenyra, part 2

These questions are still not the result of long and careful thought, but rather spontaneous nonsense that came to my mind, but someone has to ask, why not me?

11) Aegon's Prophecy - by what criteria did Viserys determine that the promised prince would be born through YOUR line? The only fundamental difference between Targtowers and you is Aemma Arryn. So the Arryns are the cornerstone of the promised prince's birth?

12) The prophecy again. Why did Viserys decide that HE had any relation to the promised prince? If there was no gender inequality in Old Valyria, then Rhaenys and Laena are the true heirs, so either Baela or Rhaena bears the burden of being the progenitor of the promised prince. Viserys was not chosen for any merit, but for having a penis.

13) And again - the prophecy. If this is a Targaryen prophecy, isn't it undermined by the dilution of blood? The Arryns, Strongs, and Velaryons all dilute the blood of true dragonriders (Velaryons are questionable, but still). If the blood is strong (heh), then with each generation, if Jace becomes king, not only the distinctive appearance but also the special magic of Valyria is lost, replaced by the magic of the Andals and the First Men? Appoint your Aegon as your heir, in that case.

14) Prophecy, fuck. Why do you think the prophecy will only come true if you are crowned? If the promised prince is born from your blood, just betroth your child/grandchild to the child/grandchild of King Aegon II, and there will be no need for war, bloodshed, and dragon slaying. Or do you care not about the fate of the world, but about power?

15) Are you sure, absolutely sure, that Aegon and Viserys won't grow up jealous of your three eldest children, who will get more than them, despite being bastards? Yes, the little ones idolize Jace as children, but is there any guarantee that Aegon will never feel bitter that as the first legitimate son of Queen Rhaenyra, he gets crumbs compared to a bastard? Daemon is their father, if there's one thing that man has in abundance, it's stupidity, impudence, and arrogance.

16) What makes YOU a special woman? Why should your rights be the only ones respected, and your ambitions respected? Why can't the daughters of House Stokeworth and House Rosby become heirs? If it's about your Varilian heritage and dragon ownership, why can't Baela, the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter of Corlys and Rhaenys, rule Driftmark?

17) What the hell is up with your inept wartime leadership? Why are you as unprepared to rule as your younger brother, who is only 21 and has never been trained to be a king? You've been an heir for 20+ years, why are you wringing your hands and acting like a fool during a crisis?

18) Why did Vermithor listen to you (I already know the answer - a pathetic jump over the shark, but I want to hear Rhaenyra's version)? It makes no sense, contradicts the lore, has no plot importance, and just looks forced and stupid.

19) Why, with THREE dragons at your disposal, didn't you go after Aemond? He killed your son, and you stand there grinning like an idiot!

20) What kind of mental gymnastics did you need to do to "son for son"? If we follow your reasoning, then for the death of your second son, Aemond should die as the second son, for the death of Jaeherys, Jacaerys or his and Baela's firstborn should be killed, if you want Aegon to die, then you can kill your Aegon as a namesake, or your firstborn. If you also want "a daughter for a daughter", then who should be killed for Visenya - Helaena or Jaehaera? What parameters should be entered into these calculations?

21) Speaking of Visenya. Why the fuck do you blame the greens for the death of your unviable child? The girl had a hole in her chest, it's not something that can be fixed by simply carrying her to term.

I was promised protection, so I'm not afraid to ask these questions =) Maybe there will be a third part, if I still delve into this topic, and not catch what is on the surface.

Plot bunny - Daemyra meets the consequences of passion on the beach

Okay, this isn't my usual yapping about how I desperately want to ask HBO to provide the public with a report on the show's expenses and find out how much they pay those nine monkeys with typewriters and one college student with three other jobs who are posing as the House of the Dragon writing team.

But one thing leads to another, so I'm thinking about how convenient it is for Daemon and Rhaenyra to indulge their fetish for public intercourse, and somehow no one found them at all, even though they were not just simple servants, and they couldn't just disappear for a whole night without someone noticing.

And if someone had found them? Maybe someone like Laenor Velaryon?

Laenor, mad with grief, having almost drowned himself a few hours ago, and unable to sleep, escapes from surveillance and goes wandering around Driftmark and the surrounding area. He can't help but think about how his sister died, the one he hadn't seen in years but loved so much; how scared and desperate she was when she couldn't give birth herself, and how much pain she must have suffered; how she spent her last moments in agony and terror. He lost his sister and the nephew who killed her, and whom he almost hates, but knows Laena would never forgive him for those feelings.

And now he stumbles upon his wife and brother-in-law fucking like wild animals on the sand, hidden from the world by a rotten boat hulk. From the world, but not from Laenor.

A part of Laenor understands what these two feel, and is happy for them. His marriage to Rhaenyra was an arrangement that grew into friendship, but never into love; his true love died on the floor of the feast hall, beaten to death by the hands of Criston Cole. He is happy for her, finding solace in their cold, empty marriage, first in Harvin and now in the man she has desired for decades.

He is happy for Daemon. They are friends as much as they are family, which is rare in their houses. They fought together in the Stepstones, and Laenor was happy for them and Laena, the kind of man he would have wished for his sister - almost, Daemon had an unfinished gestalt with his niece, so it was not perfect. But Laena was happy, or sounded so in her letters, so Laenor accepted it as it was. True, now Laenor is more inclined to hate Daemon for laughing at the funeral, but Daemon is Daemon, and someday the pain of loss will pass and Laenor will be able to look at him again without disgust.

But this part is small, quiet, and immediately drowned out by the anger, fury and betrayal rising inside like a storm wave. How dare they! At the funeral of Laena! His sister! Who died giving birth to Daemon's son! Died far from home, far from her family! Daemon didn't even bring her body, just charred bones!! The coffin didn't even touch the seabed, and these two had already stuck together with their crotches!!! HOW DARE THEY HOW DARE THEY HOW DARE THEY!!!

And Laenor, in whom a sea of hatred rages, takes up the blade. He doesn't think about anything, doesn't understand what he's doing, but he knows that these two people, half-naked and shuddering with vile pleasure, are his and Laena's traitors. They are monsters, and Laenor doesn't understand how he could have considered these two his friends.

Daemon Targaryen is still a rogue prince even with his pants down, and Laenor was never considered the best swordsman, at best a good one. Rhaenyra screams at them to come to their senses, but it's no use to Laenor. Daemon dodges the sword, disarms Laenor, but it's doesn't help at all - Velaryon does not listen, his eyes are empty and dark with hatred, he rushes at Daemon empty-handed, wanting to hurt him, just as he and Rhaenyra did to him and Laena.

And Daemon makes a mistake - he, a skilled warrior, underestimates Laenor's rage, and when he swings his blade, intended to drive Velaryon away, he pierces him. Laenor does not die quickly enough - he screams in pain and anger, screams so loudly that he attracts the attention of the guards, who were alerted when it became clear that Corlys' son had disappeared and every servant and guard rushed to search for him.

And what a picture the guards find - the heir of Lord Velaryon, husband of the crown princess and the father of her children, future king consort, Laenor Velaryon, agonizing on the dirty sand. Daemon, shirtless and with unbuttoned pants, with a bloody sword in his hands. And Princess Rhaenyra herself, Laenor's wife, looking at what is happening in horror, wrapped in a dress with loose lacing and pulled off her shoulders, disheveled and covered in sand.

The events that followed have not yet come together in my head in any confident way, there are so many possible consequences.

Rhaenyra and Daemon are caught at the crime scene with bloody hands, one of them not even metaphorically. Denying the fact of murder and sexual intimacy is simply stupid.

Rhaenyra has two options:

1) Lie about how she and Daemon were enthusiastically doing a vertical tango on the beach as soon as they had the chance. She will wring her hands, roll her eyes, and start crying about how her evil uncle tried to take advantage of her, and how the noble and fearless Laenor rushed to her rescue. No one will believe her, of course, but the consequences will be mostly laid on Daemon. He won't be executed as a kinslayer, because Viserys is a spineless whiner, but he will be sent to the Wall.

2) Stand with her uncle and go for broke, and if they die together, they will die together. Again, Viserys' spine is a monkey noodle, he will never kill his sweet daughter in his life, and will try to leave her as his heir, because she is the daughter of the woman he once cut up like a pig in a slaughterhouse.

In any case, what will happen for sure in any case is a complete loss of the Velaryon support for Rhaenyra, Luke losing his rights to inherit Driftmark and the Velaryon name in favor, most likely, of Baela, the loss of Daemon's rights to his daughters - this will be one of Corlys' first demands to the crown, he will not allow the only thing left of his daughter and children in general to remain in the hands of the man who killed his son. All of Westeros will discuss and condemn the actions of the Princess of Whores, Uncle's Delight, for many years. It would take a miracle for Viserys to leave her as his heir, but will he succeed, and what kind of reign awaits a woman with such a background?

Anyone want to add anything that I might have missed?

P.S. If someone wants to use my idea and turn it into a fanfic, be my guest, just tag me, and left a link in the comments down below, I REALLY want to read a story with such a plot =)

PPS. English can kiss my ass me in that scary and dark place where I learned it through sheer force

Rhaenyra would never kill her own kin? Say it with your hand on the Bible and watch the Lord punish you for perjury

Team black stans is being almost hysterical, trying to convince us that Saint Rhaenyra would never dare to kill Alicent's children, that Otto and Alicent are the second and third coming of Satan, and they are must be blame for everything, from the birth of the Night King to the end of the Daenerys arc, and if it weren't for these two, Westeros would have already installed electricity, invented penicillin and learned to wash their asses more than once a month.

As proof, you are given quotes from a book that these fans have hardly read in its entirety, their own opinion, which, of course, is an indisputable fact and, sometimes, even "well, she would have killed some greens so what, why make such a fuss about it."

These people don't know how to work with a narrative, and it shows. Stories like Dance of the Dragons require you to dive into the personalities of both teams so you can understand the tragedy of the situation - a civil war between family members that will nearly destroy House Targaryen and Westeros.

Now imagine that you, Alyssa/Baelon Targaryen, are Alicent's fifth child. And this is a fanfic (show), not a book, so we're going to base this on the events of the adaptation.

Your father doesn't care about you, and you don't understand why. Did you do something wrong? Why does your father love your half-sister and her children, but not you and your siblings? Why doesn't he protect you from your nephews' bullying?

You don't get a dragon egg because they are few and far between, and Rhaenyra has another child who needs one more. You get the egg that comes later, or you ride a full-grown dragon.

Your half-sister Rhaenyra HATES you. She shows no shame in showing her disdain, barely tolerates your existence, and never punishes her children for bullying you. She won't talk to you, won't play with you, and even seems to hate your name.

You hear rumors that your nephews are bastards. You know that having bastards is wrong and against the Faith, and you don't understand why Rhaenyra is never punished for her bad deeds. You saw Aemond being scolded for standing up to our nephews, why is no one scolding Rhaenyra?

At Laena's funeral, your brother Aemond becomes a Vhagar rider, and Luke cuts out his eye for it. When the argument happens, you are afraid, scared, and crying, because father is angry at Aemond, and instead of comforting and protecting him, he demands something from him. Rhaenyra demands that Aemond be tortured, and no one protects your brother from her. Your father yells at Aegon because Aemond said that Aegon is the one who lied about your nephews being legitimate Velaryons. You don't understand how words can be as bad as your brother's injury. No one ever scolded or punished Rhaenyra for anything, so what if her children were called a bad word? Your father declares that there will be no punishment for your brother's injury, as if a lost eye is like a scratched knee and nothing bad happened. Your mother is angry at Rhaenyra and tries to hurt Luke, and suddenly she is the bad one and it's all her fault, and everyone has forgotten that Rhaenyra wanted to torture Aegon, who was hurt, as if it doesn't matter.

You are scared to get your dragon. What if Rhaena decides that this dragon was meant to be hers and you are a thief too, just like she accused Aemond? Will they cut out your eye too?

Laenor dies, and you hear that Rhaenyra has married Daemon, ignoring the mourning period. You remember this man - he laughed at Laena's funeral and frightened your mother with his presence. You have heard terrible things about him, and you are afraid to be near him - but thank the gods he does not come to the Red Keep, so you sleep peacefully. You are afraid to think about how exactly Laenor died, and whether Rhaenyra and Daemon were involved.

When your half-sister finally appears at the Red Keep, her first act is to claim Driftmark for her bastard son. When Vaemond Velaryon, your distant relative, calls her a whore and her children bastards, Daemon cuts off his head, and none of the Blacks look sad, even though he was a close relative to Rhaenys, Baela, and Rhaenyra's three eldest sons (presumably).

And that's just part of the shit that goes on in your life. If it were possible, you'd demand a refund.

If someone told you that Rhaenyra wouldn't kill you for the sake of her peaceful reign, would you believe them?

PS. not a native speaker and it shows, so what?
