a faint tune played in the background of a teahouse tucked away in qingce village; tea and an aroma of incense clouded your senses.

“it seems as if my invitations to you have become a habit of mine. i hope it isn’t grueling for you,” zhongli speaks, his golden orbs cast upon you. he delicately lifts his teacup to his lips. you shake your head. “nonsense,” you smile, “i’d not rather be anywhere else.” you follow suit, lifting the teacup to your lips and taking a sip. the taste of sugar and tea leaves swarm your mouth; a wonderful taste.

his eyes never ceased to fixate upon you. he was enamored — though his eyes were calm — as if he was gazing upon the moon and the vast night sky, or basking beneath the sun. “would you like another cup?” zhongli’s voice was soft, almost as if he weren’t human. his eyes were filled with a gentle gaze that made you feel warm. his lips curved into a thin upturned smile.

you nod, your eyes shining upon is. “i’d much appreciate that. thank you, zhongli.” his name flows off your tongue like butter. as if it was always meant for you to say. “of course.”

zhongli sets his empty cup, then quietly poured another cup from the kettle, steam rising to the ceiling. zhongli was incredibly focused on the task at hand, but also extremely conscious of your presence. he would glance at you from time to time. you watch his movements with precision, and you wonder how his actions always seemed to be so graceful and flawless.

he hands you your cup, his fingers gently grazing against yours amidst the action. “thank you,” you say, your voice quieter. you didn’t want to distract him, he seemed focused. he notices the shift in your voice, his gaze back to remaining on your face. the way his fingers brushed against yours wasn’t accidental; he didn’t mind the contact, in fact, he was comforted by it. “you are welcome.”

the moment went on quietly, until he cleared his throat and sat back in his chair. he sipped on his tea, his gaze lingering as you set the teacup down on the silver plate that matched. you take a cube of sugar and drops it into the seething liquid, stirring it with the tip of your finger before bringing it to your lips with a hum. you pick it up carefully and take a sip, a sigh. “your tea is always amazing, zhongli.”

he smiles. he doesn’t mind being complimented so regularly, as long as it is from you. “the art of making tea is something i’ve perfected over the eons,” his voice was deep and soft — warm — and a light chuckle leaves him. “tea brings life to the table. i hope it isn’t too strong for you.”

your lips curl into a gentle smile. you love the sound of his voice; baritone and rumbling. comforting. you shake your head. “i’d never refuse tea, especially brewed from the hands of you,” you chuckle. he couldn’t help the way his heart tendered at your words. he chuckles in return, a gesture he had heard from you multiple times before.

your heart beat is ringing in your ears, unbeknownst to him. the way he never fails to extend an invitation toward you for a cup of tea always had you giddy, no less with his voice, his gentleness and his entire being. the way he looked at you had you melting every time. you couldn’t help but wonder — was there something more to this? or were you being delusional?

“how does it taste?” he inquires, his voice gentle as his eyes remained glued to yours, not daring to gaze anywhere else, just in case he would not be met with yours again. you snap from your little daze and clear your throat a bit. “it’s delightful,” you smile, your voice a bit softer as you look at him.

a beat of silence goes by.

“you are beautiful.”

oh. oh. was this happening? were you hearing things correctly?

he watched your cheeks heat up a little, and he smiles. he gazes at you as if it was the first time he’s seen you, as if he wanted to commit these moments to memory. “t—thank you,” you mutter, unknowing of how to go about this.

he smiles and begins. “since we’ve been drinking tea together in the evenings for quite a while, i’ve come to notice something about myself.” he speaks, and you hum. “what may that be?” you ask with a tilt of your head. you feel your heart in your throat. there’s no way.

he hesitates for a moment. it was as if he was trying to find the right words to say; but he decides to express his words with conviction, just as he spoke before. “i feel a deep sense of attachment to you,” he begins, his hand extending to yours and gently placing it atop your skin, “as if you’ve become… a part of me.”

you smile, your eyes sparkling with a glimmer of joy. “im glad im not the only one who feels that way, then.”

Warnings: none except it's kind of angsty? I don't think it's the best thing but the ending looks rushed.

Synopsis: the person whom you promised to marry when you were a child shows up back in your life with a proposal for marriage?

it had been a while since he showed up in your life, you thought you moved on and truly had you never once pondered where the young man whom you had promised marriage to went. It was like a gust of wind, you met and you left.

It wasn't until later of October you were getting some baked goods from the bakery and from the corner of your eye you saw a man in a suit, not thinking much of it you thought it's some rich person making a appearance in the country. Yes, you were awfully wrong but now's not the time to think about past mistakes.

You thanked the cashier and grabbed the bag in which you brought stuff when you get a text from your mother who looked rather excited? She had texted you something along the lines of ‘ come home soon, I have an amazing surprise for you! ’ now surprise and your mom weren't a good look together but all you could do is sigh and pray to God that it's not about her telling you you're going somewhere else.

You arrived at home only to hear chatting and laughter coming from the room beside “I'm home?” you let out a confused yet Loud voice hoping people in the house would explain something to you. Alas you were ignored and had no choice but to walk up and open the door with an annoyed expression only to be met with the face of the person who you left in your memories.

‘oh lord’ you mumbled inside your head, you felt like fainting on the spot! How could he just show up? “zhongli...” that name you spoke felt so foreign to you, it felt like speaking to a stranger.

“you're back home! Great I don't have to tell you later then, remember zhongli? He's a business man now! He's grown up so fast hasn't he? .... ... ........ ... ..” and so on your mother kept talking as everything she said went in one ear and out the other.

“aha, it's nothing ma'am I was fulfilling my promise of asking their hand in marriage” your childhood friend replied to your mothers words while his gaze was fixed on you. Why was he here? Did he not leave without any notice? You knew it's rude yet you can't help but ask “why?... Why now?” and all his stupid face did was smile.

You despised that smile now, you wanted to erase it from your mind and yes, you held a grudge and it maybe childish but he cannot just come back one day to ask your hand in marriage to fulfill a stupid promise made by a bunch of six year old's??

He tried approaching you but you weren't in the mood to deal with him just when you got him out of your mind. He came back, why did he come back it kept repeating in your head. You pushed him away when he gripped your wrist “listen, I don't want to start a drama so please just get out” you said straightforwardly “are you still mad at me about the sudden disappearance?” he asked you oh so calmly, how can he even be calm..

“it's not just that! Why the hell would you come back to fulfill a stupid promise we made as children!” he looked down, was he embarrassed?? You didn't get this man at all..

“I love you, that's why I came back.. ” that reply shocked you, he had feelings.. For you? What even.. What even is love? You remember recklessly saying I love you to just about anyone when you were growing up, never did you have any interest in dating either.

“marriage.. Marriage is too sudden for me, I need time! I don't even know why the hell you still 'love me' or why you left...” you felt weird almost anxious your voice felt panicked like you just wanted to run away from everything and hope this was a nightmare.

Zhongli ran a hand on your head to help you calm down “right, my apologies for being so sudden.. How about I start from courting you like I used to?” his voice was calm and gentle as he slowly pulled you into a hug. You were sure your mother was listening in on all of this but you didn't really care you just wanted to hug him and let out all the pent up stuff in your mind.

“alright.. Thank you zhongli, I.. I'm kind of glad you're back but you still need to explain why you were gone without any notice before hand” you smiled at him as he pulled you in for a small hug. It went like it used to before when you both were little.

How genshin characters help you deal with toxic people!

If you cried he'd be there for you, if he couldn't be there physically he'd always be there with you no matter what the wind will follow you as a comforting melody.

“they aren't worth your time precious!”

He would whisper words and sing songs to make you feel better.

If they decided to reach out to you again he'll make sure they never hurt you.

He is a God after all, he doesn't want to see you being hurt he loves you too much.

He almost always accompanied you wherever you go.

You were really grateful for him, after all after such a thing happening you felt like trusting people was more complicated.

If you started being cautious of people around you and kept your information to a minimum he'd completely understand that after all, no one wants to be hurt like that again and again.

He will make sure they stay away, he doesn't like the idea of someone who hurt you to approach you again.

Doesn't want them anywhere near you, he isn't affectionate or well knows how to. Comfort you properly so he protects you from the side lines.

If you do need a shoulder to cry on he'll be the shoulder, he knows he shouldn't get too attached but it happens after all, that's how you met someone toxic.

If you're more reserved he'll let you braid his hair or do anything to his hair just to calm you down or help you somehow.

Will try encouraging you to do the things they told you, you're bad at.

Overall he does his best to help and make you forget about those horrible human being.

He would be confused at first I guess? He won't be sure what to do to help but will try his best, either by reassuring words like “they're horrible people they don't deserve you” or distracting you from this.

Unlike the other two he won't really try doing much to keep the person away from you unless they end up making you uncomfortable again, unlike the other two his way of thinking is that people will cross paths eventually no matter what, this is a small world after all so there is no way of stopping someone from knowing your existence as a whole.

Though of course he does care about you so he'll gently comfort you when he has the time.

Also tried encouraging you to do things you were told you're bad at doing by certain people.

He does see improvements in you overtime and sees how you overcame the barrier they made in your mind and he's really proud!!

Honestly, I don't think he has any idea what's happening until you tell him of course his first initial reaction would be to comfort you then he'll ask who it was and he honestly falls apart as he sees you crying over someone who isn't worth your time.

You need a shoulder to cry on? He's there, you need anything? He's there, you don't want to talk and prefer silence to cope? He's got it!

He truly cares for you and wants to understand you.

“I do not think they are worthy of your tears, my love”

I honestly feel like he would just make sure you're not uncomfortable in any way.

I don't think he'll try much to keep the person away but more like keeping you away from them same thing but yes.

Overall he really wants to keep you safe and when you improve and over come these things he's going to tell you how much he's proud of you!!

You can tell I was dying while making this but yes this is technically for comfort but if you've been through toxic people I wish the best for you!! If they ever get to your mind just remember they're nothing but imbeciles!!

Stargazing with them PT.2

ᴛʏᴘᴇ: Head canons 

ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ/ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛ: You go on a stargazing date with them. 

ᴀ/ɴ: Here is part two! I loved making Razor’s part, because he is such a good boy. There might be a part three, but I am not too sure yet.

Thoma’s first date with you was stargazing, he loves just being out in nature so he didn’t think twice before he asked you to go with him one night. 

Since that date, it has practically become a ritual for the two of you, especially after playing the hotpot game. Assuming that both of you can still stand afterwards without puking.

There are days that you don’t feel like eating before you go, which is fine, because when Thoma meets you at your stargazing spot, he holds a basket full of your favorite foods and drinks the two of you can share. 

Thoma continues these dates, even when you arrive back in Mondstadt when you manage to get out of Inazuma. He takes you to Starsnatch Cliff that same night so you can watch the stars together.

The area around the cliff is rather quiet aside from the gentle lapping of the waves down below and the soft breeze flowing through your hair. As you lay against the grass with a fresh picked Celia in hand, Thoma ceases his talking to gaze upon your beauty.

He decided right then that everything the two of you had gone though in Inazuma was worth it. All the tears, pain and laughter that got you to this point was something he would do again if it meant he could have you.

So as you get lost in the beauty of the stars above you, Thoma gets lost in your beauty too, reaching a slim hand to pull you against his body. Nothing could compare to the happiness he felt when you were around.

The two of you continue to go on these simple dates for years and it becomes some of your fondest memories. Your location may have changed, but the love that radiated from the both of you certainly did not even as he gets down on one knee years later, promising himself to you forever.

“The sight of you under the moonlight cannot compare to any beauty I have seen before.”

Tartaglia has the mora to take you anywhere in Liyue you wish to go on a date, so he is quite surprised when you ask to go stargazing instead of dinner as some fancy restaurant. 

The man is quite the competitor even outside of the little sparring matches the two of do on the daily. This means that he will always try and ‘one-up’ you when it comes to what he brings to your date.

There have been multiple times where he uses his mora to go all out for you, buying roses, dinner, and even dessert. You can remember the first time he went all out like this, in your hands was a bottle of wine and your favorite dessert, but by the time you got to the designated spot, Tartaglia was already there with a whole feast for the both of you.

Tartaglia is now the biggest fan of your stargazing dates, often even telling his subordinates about how you are the most wonderful partner he has ever had.

Even if he seems super tough and playful most of the time, Tartaglia is quite the clingy lover when it comes down to it. He wants nothing more than to spend his days wrapped up in your arms or keeping you trapped in his. He never wants to let you go.

Tartaglia misses being back home in Snezhnaya with his family, but with the way you smile at him under the blanket of stars above you, he never wants to leave Liyue. At least not unless you go back with him.

As the two of you sit under the endless sea of stars above, Tartaglia pulls you closer and begins to tell you about his homeland. He allows his memories of his childhood to flood out in an endless sea of words. It is during this time that you tell yourself that you are definitely going to visit Snezhnaya with him in the future.

"Looks like I win again! Ah, don’t make that face, you knew it was going to happen~”

Zhongli likes taking you out for rather simple dates which is usually somewhere you can drink tea and admire beautiful scenery. Mainly because he doesn’t have much mora usually.

Stargazing with you is not just a cheap option, but it also gives him time to appreciate just how beautiful you are with the moonlight washing over your delicate features.

The two of you take this time on your date to talk about the little things, Zhongli shares subjects with you about his past, things that no one else really knows. You do the same, however, the former Archon already knows most of your life since you did grow up in Liyue.

After you shared your liking for Osmanthus wine, Zhongli never fails to bring some with you for your date. The both of you have stumbled home more than tipsy on quite a few occasions. Tartgalia or Aether have had to escort you two home on numerous occasions now.

Zhongli never brings just wine with him, he often goes to Wanmin Restaurant and orders a bunch of food to bring with him. It’s always the perfect combination for a date, wine, food, and stargazing.

Once the two of you are settled down against the grass, Zhongli can’t help himself from showering you in compliments. Always going on about how the moonlight makes your eyes shine like jewels and your skin glow.

Since this is one of the only moments you have to actually be alone, Zhongli wastes no time in peppering your face in kisses, nuzzling his nose along your cheek. The soft, lingering scent of your perfume has him never wanting to leave your side, you are a gem that he needs to cherish for the rest of eternity. 

He is a very affectionate man at heart, however, he does not wish to participate in public affection as to not make other people uncomfortable. However, the moment that you are alone with him, Zhongli will take the opportunity to pull you in for quite a long cuddle.

“My love, you are more beautiful than even the brightest stars in the night sky.”

Razor’s favorite place to stargaze with you is right where Andrius usually resides, however, the wolf is never to be found while you and Razor are on your date.

He never fails to bring you things like crystals, flowers, or even Electro crystals. The poor boy has gotten shocked too many times to count.

Razor likes being close to his wolf family while the two of you enjoy your dates, this makes him not only feel at home, but safe too. The wolves never dare to approach you without Razor being in your company. Something to do with respect.

Razor doesn’t really understand a whole bunch of human customs, nor is his english the greatest, but he always tries to put a smile on your face.

There are some date nights where you spend your time helping him understand things that he finds confusing, he is glad he has a Lupical like you!

While the two of you gaze at the stars, Razor can’t help but pet your hair as he practically sits in your lap. Human customs may be lost on him to an extent, however, he does know the way you relax into his touch makes his heart do flips.

On colder nights, Razor brings quite a few blankets to make sure that you are nice and toasty. He is used to the bite of the wind, but seeing they way you shiver at the chilly air has him stocking up on blankets for you. He usually gets them from Bennett.

To make sure that you are well fed in his presence, it isn’t uncommon for Razor to ask Aether to help prepare food for you. It usually is mostly meat because he craves the taste, but he always brings you extra vegetables.
