Okay guys, I recently watched The chilling adventures of Sabrina and HOLY SHIT (or unholy shit, see what I did there?) I have never in my life seen a show with a so powerful and badass female lead!! It addresses so many problems that are currently in our society. It kind of makes me sad, that this is the first show where I actively noticed this.
And can we talk about the relationships here? At first I was a bit sceptical because I don't like it when there is soooo much romance (personal taste) but how they did it with this show is incredible!!!!! The way she goes from Harvey to Nick is not the typical "I am torn between these two hot boys that both want me. Who should I pick?" Cliché. It's Harvey who tells her that he won't accept a part of her and she realises that if he can't accept that part then she can't be herself around him. I think what ultimately ends their relationship is, that Nick is so very enthusiastic to get to know her human life as well as her witch life. I think that's where she realises that she cannot Harvey is not the right boy for her and even if it hurts like hell, she tries to move on.
Her relationship with Nick is gentle and he never tells her what to do, he know what she is capable of and he knows he can't stop her. So he tries to help where he can and it's beautiful. I especially loved where Sabrina and Harvey are arguing, Harvey thinks Nick will tell Sabrina that she can't do it because it's too dangerous and Nick just goes: "You think I can tell her what to do?" And it shows the difference in these two relationships so good!!! I love this!
But it's not only romance, also the relationships between family is wonderfully portrayed.
But I will do something to that later, because it will get too long.
Please tell me what you thought of the show, if you watched it that is.
Hi
First of all sorry for my English.
I'm not sure who will find this post. It's my first one ever.
I was always scared of posting here. I write imagines /fanfics or I try.
They help with my overthinking so if there is someone who wants to take a chance that I'm not half bad, I need few requests. I realise my English is not perfect but I will try my best.
I just need reason to write and finish what I start.
I tagged as many fandoms as I could think of but I will write mostly anything.
So just send me a message if you want to with your requests.
I'm looking forward to them.
Bye
I really don’t like how the chilling adventures of sabrina ended up demonizing (lol) satanism. at first it was about satanic witches and satanism and that was great but they ended up abandoning Satan for Hecate because of something that would only ever happen in a christian church. no satanic church would force anyone to stay in a religion they didn’t feel was for them. awful representation.
Girl, I am *losing* it. I keep forgetting that Sabrina the Teenage Witch is from the Archie Comics, hence the name of the towns (Riverdale and Greendale) sounding similar. However, I've been watching the last season of Riverdale and I'm at a point where Jughead and Veronica are talking about making a "sexy teenage witch" into a comic book series. I hate (/love) this series so fricking much. Like, you've already had two (I think) instances of Sabrina being in Riverdale, but you had to make a reference to it even when they're in the 50s? Not to mention, Kevin made a musical about their lives, which I feel like is a reference to The Archies. This could also be something they constantly made references to. Though, the comics that Jughead writes about his friends is just... absolutely insane because they're based off of comics, themselves.
