I have to imagine that Kirk and Spock’s wedding was the biggest thing to happen in the quadrant that entire year! Everyone and their mother heard about the wedding announcement between the great captain James T Kirk and his first officer S’chn T’gai Spock. It must have been live-streamed or whatever the Star Trek equivalent of that is, humanity cheered and watched on excitedly, all Vulcan children probably got the day off school, this was framed in both their histories as a collective “second first-contact moment”. A bajillion Starfleet officers, captains, and admirals must have been in attendance to watch the ceremony and stay for the afterparty. Bones and Uhura stood as Kirk and Spock’s best man respectively, Pike officiated and cried many happy dad tears. In fact, countless tears were shed by the original crew of the enterprise and almost everyone in attendance (Bones denied the allegations but Scotty’s got photo evidence). Chekov got stupidly drunk at the after party along with a tipsy Sulu, who also managed to snap a quick photo of Spock and Kirk looking incredibly flushed and happy sitting together

“If I had a Time Machine I’d stop 9/11” if I had a Time Machine I’d tell William Shatner he wasn’t fat and even if he had a little bit of chub it doesn’t matter, scripts of episodes that poked fun at his weight would suddenly end up burned and everyone who chastised him would get hit with a water balloon from the rafters. Like I disagree with so many of his takes as a person and I disagree with how he’s allegedly talked to people and treated people but like no one treated him nice either.

Last year I started watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and it quickly became my favorite but also made me think hey, the Star Trek franchise has so many different stories in the same universe, why can’t I come up with some?

So I created my OC’s and their story- Star Trek: New Life. I’ve been working on this animatic for about a month for fun and while the quality has definitely gone down closer to the end, I’m still super proud of it!

So there has been a debate on how no other planet had the cultural diversity as earth in countries, languages, etc. and I think I know why. Every other planet had a global socaity BEFORE they joined the federation. A world government, universal language, and common form of money for hundreds of years. Earth did not! Earth was in the slums to the point that some guy wanted to launch himself into space as fast as he possibly could even if he had to break the speed of light to do it. However, keeping the diversity for that long made them perfect for exploring other planets better than those of global communities, allowing them to be the best captains that were willing to break the rules when needed at the same time great compromisers. To understand humanoids better than any other.
