“On occasion, the Force allows us to connect with another living being and communicate with them across great distances, seeing what they see and feeling what they feel. Though this may seem like a harmless–and perhaps even valuable–ability, it is easily manipulated by those on the dark side. Some powerful Force users have been able to create secret bonds with others who are unaware of their connection. They then use those bonds to corrupt their target and steer their actions. Even if the unwanted bond is detected, it can still be extremely difficult to break.” –Luke Skywalker, Secrets of the Jedi Hey, do you want some creepy Force horror? Apparently dark siders can create a bond with someone without them even knowing and use it to corrupt their target and steer their actions, and even if you detect the bond, it can still be difficult to break. THANKS, STAR WARS, THAT’S TERRIFYING, I LOVE IT. It’s interesting, because the prequels Jedi didn’t really seem to have a problem with it, there are multiple examples of bonds and potential bonds, where they seem to have their shit under control and can deal with it when it might become dangerous, but Luke’s point of view on them seems much more wary, which makes sense when you consider what happened with Ben and Snoke. But just that it’s at all possible is terrifying! It’s probably moreso for people who aren’t Force-sensitive, rather than those who are trained and have a solid mental foundation in the Force, but the idea of, say, being able to manipulate someone without them even knowing you’re in their head, being able to steer their actions without them knowing it, that even once they’re aware of you, it’s hard as hell to get you out of their head, THAT’S THE PSYCHIC FORCE HORROR STUFF I’M TALKING ABOUT. I mean, just think how hard it would have been for Anakin to get Palpatine’s connection out of his head, that of course Palpatine would have quietly and sneakily put little suggestions here and there. Never too much, because Anakin was so strong in the Force and he had the help of all the Jedi if Sidious was ever detected, but how easy would it have been for Palpatine to hide in amongst Anakin’s already terrified thoughts? That the source of those unexamined fears was still Anakin himself, it has always been Anakin that’s the source, but that Palpatine would sneak a bond onto him, that Anakin would be too afraid to examine his own mind and his own fears, so it’s just that little extra push that makes it all the worse? THE FORCE IS TERRIFYING, OKAY.
DROP HIM, DOOKU, DROP HIM AND RUN
Padmé comes from a beautiful fairytale planet ruled by benevolent queens, a privileged world of luxury and leisure, where the sociopolitical structures designed to keep the peace (apparently) function as they are meant to, at least more or less.
Anakin comes from an ugly barren planet ruled by ruthless gangsters, a harsh world of slavery and violence, where the only rule of law is that of the greedy and powerful over the weak, and there isn’t even the faintest veneer of social nicety to cover this.
Palpatine comes from the same world as Padmé, and outwardly operates by the same rules - gentility, respectability, sophistication. But in reality, he’s much more the sort of ruler Anakin is familiar with - cruel, domineering, power-hungry. He puts the nice face of Naboo on the tyranny of Tatooine.
No wonder Anakin follows him so readily.
Palpatine: Do you want to know what the chips actually do?
Fives:
Palpatine: They're going to brainwash you and make you kill the jedi
Fives: Why are you telling me this?
Palpatine: Because no one will ever believe you

See sometimes I cry about the fall of the Jedi order. and sometimes I wonder how the hell they even lasted that long.
Example one: the Zillo beast
Because this is the logical train of thought: there’s a giant monster who wants to kill everyone, let’s kill him or put him back in the hole.
But noooo. The Jedi council was smoking something good that day and thought: There’s a giant monster that wants to kill everyone. Maybe we should kill it… nahhhh let’s bring it back to the capital so we can maximize damages. Hopefully it eats the chancellor.
Anidala Week 2018 | Day 5 - Time Travel AU
I would like to personally thank Dave Filoni and his last season of SW Rebels, which gave me so many hints to create a time travel au.
When she escaped Malachor temple, Ahsoka learnt that there are other time portals scattered through the galaxy and yet she can only go back to the last time she saw Anakin, so she is unsure whether her words will affect him in any way, but she has to try. I know that this comic is anidala-centric only in the second part, but to create this story I needed many more characters. And, even if Ahsoka is the one who sets some things in motion, also in this AU Anakin is the Chosen One, he is the one who decides the fate of the galaxy – just like at the end of the OT.
What I like about this is that, for this AU to happen, the story of the first 6 movies must still necessarily happen the same way. Enjoy it!

Rodent Star Wars! This is awesome!
Doodles you say?
Then may I ask for a medieval/fantasy au of characters of your choice? <3
For some reason, my mind read "medieval fantasy" and inmediatly went with "CRITTERS".
Soooooo here's a bunch of doodles
I have more but I think these are already a lot for now ansnsnssn

Thoughts ? I feel like I can’t get the faces right yet. Gotta practice more.
AU where Anakin and Owen are actually brothers like we deserved in the films. Nothing about the plot changes it just makes everything like 20% sadder. (Plus space wizard farmer family shenanigans).
I honestly believe half-brother Owen could give Anakin enough of a reality check for this to be a fix-it au LOL
(commission info // tip jar!)
I am absolutely fucking crying at this scene--imagine being Mas Amedda or Sly Moore, like you're caught in the room in a power struggle between WALKING NIGHTMARE DARTH VADER and the EVEN MORE POWERFUL PURE EVIL EMPEROR, you don't know what kind of shit is going to go down, because the nightmare cyborg with a death wish just tried to kill the Emperor and was thwarted, so he's going to be pissed, and he does NOT have any self-control when he's pissed, he's the kind who'll take the punishment after killing someone rather than just Not Killing Someone, and you are RIGHT THERE IN HIS PATH, while the Emperor over there is LAUGHING at your discomfort, like, don't worry! I'm beyond his reach and you're too insignificant for him to notice! despite that the Emperor himself JUST NOTICED YOU, and you can't even think too many bad thoughts because they're both EVIL PSYCHIC SPACE WIZARDS WHO CAN READ YOUR MIND and you just. Like. Have to keep going in to work with these dudes. This is your life now.
#Sheev makes himself laugh and that's all that's important
AU where Dooku has a heart attack and ends up in a coma because of Old Man Syndrome and Ventress becomes incidentally in charge of the entire Separatist Army but nobody TOLD HER Sidious’s identity and when he reaches out, she doesn’t like his tone and cuts the call before he can convince her he’s her boss’s boss, so she just runs the army HER way, which is still a comprehensive war effort against the Republic and devastating to the Jedi, but in a way that really doesn’t help the Sith Plot.
Ventress: I’m going to be a problem.
Obi-Wan: For us or for the Sith?
Ventress: I’m going to be a problem.
I really do like you capturing that the galaxy is big and that Palpatine is of course wanting to pick every single fight that he can just cause blood suffering pain and death, spread it all around? kill jedi cant leave them to build roots anywhere but still. the not giving you the option to surrender to occupation, forcing a fight on you cause WANT the fight blood and death some of that being less capability to fight later and clean sweeps? but still galaxy is a huge place and Palps wants it all
Thank you! :)
He absolutely wants it all, and he's not going to think twice about a little violence (or a lot of violence, as the case may be) to get it! Plus, with the economic factors at play, that's just all the more reason to go full-on systemwide occupation instead of settling for diplomacy or surrender of the Jedi in the Sevret system.
And, after all, what's the point of having thousands of Star Destroyers at one's disposal if one doesn't intend to use them for a little bit of conquest every now and again? :P
On a more serious note, though, part of the reason that I made up a system outside of the Republic was that, apparently, a great many of the worlds in the GFFA were not part of the Republic, and I wanted to show how Palpatine is a threat, not only to the worlds that were formerly Republic and immediately became Empire, but also to any world with valuable resources or any world that harbors someone who could possibly be a threat to his power and his security.
And although the Jedi on Errece didn't pose much of a threat in and of themselves---allowing that ideology to survive, allowing them to exist anywhere in the galaxy and possibly go on to spread that ideology to future generations who could build up the Jedi? Who could perhaps continue the Jedi in secret, in the manner of the post-Bane Sith? He absolutely cannot allow that to happen.
(Also, just wanted to add that from a writing point of view, this chapter was pretty entertaining to scheme up because of how Palpatine thinks he's getting it all with the Sevret system. Destroy some Jedi? Check. Gain access to valuable raw materials for the Empire? Check. Humiliate his foolish apprentice? Check.)
Fun Star Wars name stuff!
Snips
We all know the derivation of Ahsoka's nickname as the snippy padawan, but the word snip can also refer to "an impertinent or saucy girl," as well as a white or light marking. Ahsoka's nickname fits her in so many ways!
Palpatine
Take out the second P, and you end up with palatine, which can be an adjective or a noun, the definitions of which include "possessing royal privileges" and "a feudal lord having sovereign power within his domains." Yep, sounds about right.
Where the heck the name Sheev comes from, I have no idea, except that it's vaguely similar to shiv, and the pointy end of a shiv is absolutely what he deserves. (Ooh, or maybe it's because he shivs the Republic in the back?)

Chapter 10 of burc’ya kadale ~ Friendly Fire
Has been posted on ao3!
do you think the force tried to warn him
reallll, anakin should have accountability for his major (MAJOR) life fuck ups but like if it took a while for mace and kenobi to clock something was suspicious .... how the fuck do you expect anyone else to (least of all, a CHILD!!!!!)
I know it’s super popular in SW fandom to clown on Anakin for ever trusting Palpatine in ROTS, and I’ll never defend it as a reasonable decision, but I think a lot of the criticisms of Anakin during this moment miss some crucial points.
The first is that when Anakin started meeting with Palpatine, he was twelve. It was with the Jedi’s full knowledge and permission. Of course, Palpatine is out to manipulate Anakin, but Anakin has no reason to think he can’t trust Palpatine. After all, the Jedi are his guardians, and they’re responsible for keeping him safe. Why wouldn’t Anakin trust Palpatine when Palpatine starts positioning himself as more sympathetic and understanding of Anakin’s differences than the rest of the Jedi? As far as Anakin knows, Palpatine is a trustworthy person who the Jedi approve of, and he has no reason to be on his guard in this situation. Which is exactly what Palpatine wants Anakin to believe, and then he has a decade to sink his claws into Anakin.
The second is by the time the Jedi are asking Anakin to spy on Palpatine, Anakin has already lost several important people in his life. The Jedi Council has already driven Ahsoka away by choosing politics over standing with her, and Shmi is dead in part because Anakin couldn’t go to her when he was having nightmares about her dying in agony every night. Now he’s having the same nightmares about Padme, who he’s not even supposed to be married to, and he’s also expected to spy on Palpatine, the dude who as far as he knows, has always been nice to him. Anakin has lost two out of the five people he loves the most because of the Jedi, and he’s at risk of losing two more. I don’t think this justifies his later actions, but I can see where he’s coming from. And so does Palpatine, and he’s able to use his knowledge of Anakin’s fears against both him and the Jedi.
Finally, I see a lot of fans acting as though Jedi were constantly warning Anakin for years that he couldn’t trust Palpatine, and Anakin ignored them. That’s not actually what happened. Mace Windu trusted Palpatine completely at the beginning of the war, so much so that he agreed with Palpatine to allow Padawans on the battlefield. At the beginning of Matthew Stover’s ROTS, it’s outright stated that multiple Jedi have come to Obi-Wan throughout the years with concerns about Anakin’s relationship with Palpatine, but Obi-Wan doesn’t take them seriously. Later, when Mace tells Obi-Wan that they need to start spying on Palpatine to monitor his accumulation of power, Obi-Wan is stunned, because he’s always seen Palpatine as their ally, and not someone to be wary of.
Blame Anakin for his bad decisions all you want. But don’t blame him for hanging out with a guy who the Jedi allowed to have access to him since he was a kid.
Nice day to remind you all about Jedi giving grown-up man(who started to groom this boy) an unrestricted access to the literal child in their care, while firing their workers from the job when their daughter is discoverd force-sensitive and never allowing them even to send her any gifts, or refusing to give two sentinet droids a right to see the son of their master.
Hey Y’all! I am back!! If you were wondering why I was MIA for so long, I blame this piece, but here it is finally!
It started out as me going “huh I think it would be fun to make a “family tree” with Padawans and Masters” ...and then it just kept getting bigger and bigger....somebody please help these people they’re all connected and they’ve all got issues....
Anyways! I hope you enjoy it!

AU in which the chancellor dies in a freak (probably Zillo-beast related) accident. Everyone is attending his funeral and really, the Jedi are trying really hard to mourn but it’s incredibly difficult to when the entirety of the coruscant guard is apparently throwing a mental and spiritual party so loud in the Force Dathomir can feel it.
Dark blue jumped over green and light blue. X) What to do, Palych is already so indignant that he is not the first.
it's even better then I imagined
You know if Mace Windu had just used la chancla against Palpatine order 66 would never have happened (love your art very cute)
