#MarchMeetTheMaker ✨ FROM THE ARCHIVES 💜 Looking back through my archives I see a few digital paintings that I want to redraw. Not because they are bad, but because the learning curve for digital art is kind of steep. 💜 This particular piece would be muh better in color like this. Right now it is actually black and white. I would also add a few more feature lines around the nose. I was playing with color palettes and environments a while back and I still love these colors together. I want to work on world building with my scenes and landscapes because it’s something I struggle with. In fact, I was looking through my work since last summer and I noticed a huge self improvement during and after Inktober last year. So I want to come up with or find a list of environmental prompts to help me improve this area as well. #MarchMeetTheMaker 🦓 PORTRAIT 🦓 Do you remember Fruit Stripe gum? And how every piece came with temporary tattoos? That used to be my favorite and this background in my self-portrait reminds me so much of the colorful zebra stripes. 🦓 Some things you may not know about me: other girls wanted a pony when they were little, I wanted a pet zebra. I have never gone “with the grain “ on anything in my life and I’m not sure I know how. 🦓 I am an avid reader. I have 16 tattoos, most of which are very large. I am a recovering bread-aholic. I also have a mini farm with sheep, goats, Rabbits, one duck, and two dogs. The German Shepherd is most certainly my husband’s dog. But Grimm, the fluffy Belgian Shepherd, is my dog. And I have an 11 year old daughter that doesn’t help with any of it. 😂 🦓 I have always been a real outdoorsy person. I love hiking, backpacking, camping, and I live for bonfires.
