Canon Rangi and Kyoshi moment

mfw my ex best friend/crush and i meet up in our old home and she tells me she's here to put me away cause i ate an evil spirit, went on a revenge murder spree and became public enemy #1 cause she stole my destiny on accident (i hate it when that happens)

Why…. The heck… did no one ever tell me about the Kyoshi Novels?!?! Rangshi lives in my heart rent free!! 

SOMEONE PLZ MAKE A CARTOON/ANIME ADAPTATION FOR RAAVA’S SAKE!!!

Oh, and I would strongly encourage you all to visit the channel “Team Kyoshi” on YouTube. They are absolutely genius and hardworking.

KELSANG:

I’ve got cheeks like ripe round fruit

They shake like boughs in the storm

I blush bright red when I see a bed

And leap at the sound of a horn

LEE:

I’ve got a nose like a dove-tailed deer

I run like a leaf on the wind

My arms are slight and my waist is tight

And I don’t have a thought for my kin

KYOSHI:

I’ve got two knives that are cast in bronze

They pierce all the way to the soul

They draw you in with the promise of sin

Like the moth to the flame to the coal

I’ve got hair like the starless night

It sticks to my lips when I smile

I’ll wind it with yours and we’ll drift off course

In a ship touching hearts all the while

For the way I walk is a lantern lit

That leads you into the night

I’ll hold you close and love you the most

Until our end is in sight

Excuse the quality!!! But I just really wanted to get this down quickly before I forgot it.

This is the shanty that Kyoshi and co. sing in the kitchen in the chapter Honest Work, and the rhythm of the poem was so clear that I couldn’t get it out  of my head! So I ended up writing some music for it. So please enjoy!

PS: F.C. Yee did a wonderful job with this book and everyone should read it!
