welp this is about as experimental as it gets I feel. Sticky notes, pens, and markers in all discovered colours + LED pen give an equally interesting result, that I'm honestly quite satisfied with. Execution feels a bit chaotic and inconsistent on each member but I find that fitting.

Separate Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody (movie) Fandoms

You know, I think the Queen fandom and the Bohemian Rhapsody fandom should be separated. Personally, I’m tired of having to sift through all the BR garbage whenever I search for anything Queen related. Besides, BR has become its own separate fandom at this point.

Queen Fanfiction Idea #1

Vampire AU: Freddie, John, Brian, and Roger are all vampires. Nobody knows how exactly they became vampires, possibly from a gig in Transylvania. While they were there, Freddie went to a bar and hit on a guy who he didn’t know was a vampire. The next day, he starts to feel the classic symptoms of vampirism (i.e. sensitive to sunlight, aversion to garlic, blood cravings, etc.). Freddie, who is now a full-fledged vampire, begins to feed on his fellow bandmates in their sleep. Over the next few days, the other band members, one by one, are turned into vampires. However, they’re still the same people they were before, they were just immortal. They use groupies to draw in victims for them to feed on. However, Brian is reluctant about this new lifestyle. He doesn’t like killing people (or animals), and so he practically starves himself almost to death. In the meantime, Brian wants to find a cure for himself and his bandmates. But the other bandmates, especially the hedonistic Freddie and the womanizing Roger, don’t want to be cured. However, a series of murder investigations commence, prompting the whole band to seek a cure so they won’t be charged with murder. But then, Brian passes out from hunger, and is saved by a blood bag stolen from a local blood bank. Brian regains consciousness, then, ultimately, decides to make a compromise. They can stay vampires, but he states that he is only drinking synthetic blood from now on. The others eventually decide to do the same.

Vampire Freddie

Personally, I think Freddie [Mercury] would make a pretty damn good vampire. Why? Well, for a variety of reasons.

1. His personality. Freddie can be quite charming, suave, and charismatic. What’s not to like about him? He’s kind, he’s funny, he’s intelligent, and to say that he has one hell of a singing voice would be quite an understatement. Everything about him is just so alluring. Those are qualities that would make any vampire’s existence easier, because they can attract the most potential victims.

2. They are both very sexual creatures by nature. Think about it. They are both creatures of lust, of desire, and of passion. What’s more arousing than someone giving you a hickie? That, and Freddie really seemed to like sex. He was always out looking for love.

3. The teeth. ‘Nuff said.

4. Freddie’s eyes. Vampires are known to hypnotize their prey with their eyes. Freddie’s eyes are already beautiful to the point where it’s hard to look away. They just lure you into a sense of bliss, if you will. (I’ll admit, sometimes I fall into a bit of a trance when I look at Freddie’s eyes.)

5. Vampirism is often compared to a disease (like rabies or porphyria.) And considering that Freddie died from a sexually transmitted disease that also happens to be blood-borne.

Hello music community!!!!

So, uh, I wanna maybe kind of start doing music/covers of songs as a hobby, but I really don’t know where to start. I play the violin, and I do musical theatre, so I know a lot of theatre songs. But I also do like indie rock music, mainly music by queer artists. I don’t know what kinda song to do first tho, or how to start, along with finding music! I wanna sing, I know that, I just—again—don’t know how.

Oh, sure, I know Queen. Here's a nifty, not-at-all-devastating fact for you: Brian just wanted Freddie to be loved. It's everywhere.

It's in his dislike for Don't Stop Me Now, a song that—in Brian's mind—represented drug use and intense partying that was leading Freddie away from the band, toward people who didn't care about his wellbeing. It's in Brian saying he regrets not looking after Freddie better.

It's in his writing Save Me to give Freddie an outlet for his heartbreak, but also subtly tell him, "Hey, you're a loving partner. You deserve one in return."

It's in Brian helping Freddie write It's a Hard Life, with expressing his heartbreak once again. It's in Brian watching the video for that song and interpreting the setting as a depiction of Freddie's emotionally unfulfilling personal life during the Münich era.

It's in Brian stressing that Freddie was always in serious, monogamous relationships, searching for the right person. It's in Brian defending Freddie's relationship with Jim and calling it loving.

It's in Brian having a soft spot for Don't Try So Hard, a song representing Freddie finally securing his dream relationship.

Commissioned a second giant statue of Freddie due to being jealous of Roger’s for like a solid decade 

Said his cat was the closest thing he had to a sibling, wrote a song about her when she died

Took a video of himself with the EMTs in an ambulance while LITERALLY HAVING A STROKE

Moved houses, forgot about the whole entire life-sized News of the World robot he had in his attic, was gifted another one by a fan, now has robot in his house somewhere

Once spent entirely too long trying to plug in a completely acoustic instrument

Once turned up to a sound check having forgotten his guitar, didn’t notice until far later than he should have 

Split his head open throwing up in a toilet 

Broke his arm after “losing a fight with a skateboard” 

Tried to get back at Crystal for pranking him, just ended up accidentally buying him breakfast

Bought land, planted trees, made it to be a haven for wildlife

Recorded actual thunder for a song, credited god for it on the album

i don’t think i was exactly ready yet to make my more intimate post earlier today, but i am now. i’m going to say everything i have to say.

dear freddie,

the 32nd anniversary of your death is coming to a close, and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about you throughout the day. today has been a day of reflecting on the impact you brought not just me but the world.

let me start by saying that i was barely 10 when i came out as queer. i was just starting to figure out myself, and growing up in a more right-winged than not area i had the odds against me as a person. having your influence even back then as a kid, you were one of the first people who helped me see that my sexuality would be nothing more and nothing less than a part of me. it does not define my abilities. it is simply there, and above all, a portion of my being that i should never be ashamed of. i am now in high school and a proud lesbian, and, in large part, i owe that happiness in myself to you.

i think i speak for many people here when i say that you have inspired us to have confidence in ourselves. you’ve inspired us to be bold and never hide from any opportunity. even THIRTY-TWO years after your death that influence is STILL strong and undying, and it will see no end.

which brings me to this.

freddie mercury, dreamer, singer and shining star:

NOTHING IN THIS WORLD can even HINDER your influence on the world. AIDS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HURT your soul and impact. i know for a fact that every person who remembered you today knows that as long as your music survives, you’ll be with us.

even though you may be in heaven your voice will always be heard.

...So, yeah. It's been pretty clear the whole time that the band was not consulted about this at all or offered any of Freddie's lyrics, instruments, or costumes that they may have wanted, and this confirms it. Brian can't even look. It's too painful.

And I'm sure the usual band of assholes who defend everything Mary does because they're so deeply invested in pretending she's an angel who was the luv of his life uwu--because they can't cope with Freddie having been a gay man--will vomit out more excuses for her hurting Freddie's close loved ones yet again.

Remember: Brian has Freddie mugs, figures, T-shirts, his touring piano, and he even wanted the WWRY statue before Roger took it (and of course, Roger has the statue and other Freddie things). They'd never sell those things, because they care about Freddie more than money.
