This is so true! Most of my Pokemon are one of these four types (mostly ghost, dark, and poison types, in that order) and they’re all such sweethearts! My Banette and Sableye have been with me the longest, and they’ve been incredibly loyal from the beginning!

Some examples below the cut

My Banette, named spooky (i wasn’t even ten, i liked the name and still do to this day) helps patch up pokemon that have fabricky exteriors and even makes backup costumes for the local Mimikyu!

My Sableye, Taaffeite, gives new members to my team/pokemon buddies pretty rocks as a welcoming gift (he doesn’t understand that most of them can’t eat rocks but he does his best)

And Ixion, my amped form Toxtricity, lets other pokemon borrow one of the many Halloween-themed blankets and pillows he’s stolen(affectionate) from me if they’re cold or not feeling well

Cosmo, my drakloak, helps look after the smaller/younger pokemon when I’m busy, and both Rex and Tiny, my Hydreigon and Tyrantrum respectively, mostly just chill and bask in the warm sun with the grass types and sunny (my helioptile)

Agim, my Grimmsnarl, does his best to help around the house (not without shenanigans, of course, with him being a Grimmsnarl, but they’re harmless shenanigans and stuff gets done either way)

I have plenty of other pokemon of these types and know several people who also do, but these are just some examples

Also: all Pokemon are capable of good and bad things so you shouldn’t assume that one did something “bad” means all of them are. And Pokemon don’t really experience morals the same way, chances are something “bad” they’re doing is because they believe they’re in danger or something.

So it’s silly to assume that just because one Pokemon acts a certain way, others of that type or even species are the same.

TLDR; ghost, dark, poison, and dragon types aren’t actually bad, just treat them decently and more often than not, they’ll return that kindness (and the same goes for all types)

Just heard two Beauties talking smack abt Ghost, Dark, Poison, and Dragon types all because 'they're evil' and 'Fairy Types are sooo much better 💅🏻'. Fullt af snobbpikklum!

Ghost, Dark, Poison, and Dragon Types are my favorite and I can't fucking stand it when people insult them all because of some damn stereotypes.

Don't get me wrong. I like Fairy Types, having a few of my own (mostly Mimikyu), but still!

They're just mad that their precious Clefairy is weak to my Muk!

Ghost and Dark types seem to always get the worst of it, so lemme clear some things up:

Ghost and Dark Types are some of the most kind Pokémon I've ever met. The reason they attack people (and a few of my Sableye and Spiritomb have told me this) is because people attack them all because of what they are.

Like, look at this Dusknoir for instance:

Just Heard Two Beauties Talking Smack Abt Ghost, Dark, Poison, And Dragon Types All Because 'they're

Contrary to popular belief, this does not mean, 'Human, your soul is mine!'

This is more of a greeting that Dusknoir do in battle to their opponents. They are quite polite Pokémon, and have such gold hearts as well.

Dark Types get the worst of it because of their reputation as the 'evil' type. In reality, these guys are such gentle beings.

For example, my Krookodile, Megatron, is a gentle soil. I found him as a Sandile in the Desert Resort getting picked on by Maractus. I had my Mandibuzz, Knockout, distract them while I shielded him with my back, should those Grass Types catch whiff on what my plan was. A Ranger seen what was happening and shooed the Maractus away. He then helped me get to a Pokémon Center to heal the poor Sandile. It wasn't long before Megatron chose to stay with me.

He's got a Grass Type phobia we're working on due to that experience, but he's great friends with my Grass Types. He's even saved them from Ice Types.

Dragon Types get it almost as bad because they're the villains in folklore. Dragon Types are very chivalrous, generous, and thoughtful.

My Hydreigon, Deadly, is a great example of this. I was wandering around Victory Road in Unova two years before Kyurem froze Opelucid, starving and only having Berries. Then, this Deino came running up to me with a Rage Candybar that probably fell out of a Trainer's bag. I split it evenly between my team, him, and myself. He then gently bonked his head on a Dusk Ball, allowing himself to be captured.

I think I don't need to explain why Poison Types get a bad reputation. There are actually a few of them that help to clean up habitats, cities, and the like. My Garbodor, Marcel, loves helping the Rangers cleaning the routes and kther related places. They love his company so kich that he's actually an honorary Ranger.

So, guys, gals, non-binary pals, and Poké Pals, remember this: These four types aren't what they seem to be.

{Fullt af snobbpikklum! - Bunch of snobby pricks!}

These Were My Entries To Pragmagik's Legendary Beast Of Every Type Contest, And While None Of Them Made

These were my entries to Pragmagik's Legendary Beast of every type contest, and while none of them made the cut, I still absolutely love each of the Pokemon I made for this challenge. You guys think maybe one or two of them should be Mulvera canon at some point? More details about these guys down below

(Top Left) Sodeshi, the Fighting Type Legendary beast and The Student Pokemon Sodeshi trains its body to be as focused as possible, to the point it keeps the bell on its head still through any movement. It aims to become as powerful as the legendary beasts through its own power. (Top Middle) Yokana, the Bug Type Legendary beast and The Nymph Pokemon Yokana, unlike the other legendary beasts, doesn't run around the regions for reasons unknown. It prefers to relax and take its time, and also use its tail as bait for fishing. (Top Right) Mesako, the Ground type Legendary beast and the Mesa Pokemon Mesako act's as Ho-Oh's keeper of knowledge and history. The many layers that make up its back are said to hold thousands of years of historical documents that only Ho-oh can read. (Mid Left) Nekorei, the Ghost type Legendary beast and The Wandering Soul Pokemon Nekorei was once a great ally and friend of Ho-Oh who perished in a tragic accident. Nekorei was born from the soul of the fallen pokemon, following Ho-oh's trail as it questions why Ho-Oh failed to revive it like it did with the pokemon in the Burnt Tower (Center) Fafkishi, The Dragon Type Legendary beast and The Wyrm Pokemon Fafkishi radiates powerful Draconic energy, leaping across the land in a red blur so fast that people believe it flies. People leave it gifts of metals that it adores in return for its protection. It's believed Fafkishi represents the Legend that the Burnt Tower's tale became. (Mid Right) Nomizen, The Poison Type Legendary Beast and the Plague Bringer Pokemon Nomizen is said to spread tragedy like a plague, seeping a poison into the earth so great and terrible people akin it to liquid misery. It's long dirty fur collects and sheds toxic flakes. It's believed to be a representation of the tragedy itself of the Tower, though no one is sure if Nomizen is actually to blame. (Bottom Left) Kumoyo, The Flying type Legendary Beast and the Serene Night Pokemon Kumoyo dashes across the tops of clouds at night, often being seen as a soft light through the sky. Kumoyo is said to represent the peaceful night after the fire was put out, and as a sign from Ho-Oh that tragedies do eventually end. (Bottom Middle) Caitshi, the Rock Type Legendary Beast and the Valorant Pokemon Some stories say that the stones on Caitshi's back each represent a fallen warrior. Caitshi was brought to life from the soul of a hero after the original trio, to act as a guardian of the weak and as a thank you to those who helped save others during the Burning of the Brass Tower. (Bottom Right) Korosei, the Steel Type Legendary Beast and the Quicksilver Pokemon Korosei is a somber pokemon, dripping with mercury that flows along its back. It was born from the melted metal remains of the tower, as well as the sorrow of those left behind in the blaze. It has no ill will, however, as it has no anger. All it seeks to be is remembered and known.

Analyzing Pokémon Design Trends: Poison Type Trainers!

Now I love Pokémon, and I love character design so I put them together and got this! While this may seem like a random start to this series but who cares about that.

So throughout the whole of Pokémon there had been a total of seven notable trainers that specialize in Poison types. Three are Gym Leaders, two belong to evil teams, and two belong to miscellaneous categories.

(Yes I know that Klara is technically a Gym Leader, but we never fight her as one so she doesn't count)

So one trend that immediately jumps out is ninja's, with Koga, Janine, and Atticus. There is historical evidence that ninja's did use poison as a weapon, specifically cyanide found in almonds. Weapons such as darts, arrows, and swords being dipped in the toxin as a way to kill or incapacitate their target.

The connection may also come from Poison types being used by evil teams early on, such as Rocket, Magma, Or Aqua. Ninja were historically assassins' which is kind of evil depending on who you ask.

And now we can loop back around with the evil connection to having two notable specialists being evil team admins (Plumeria and Atticus). This has less of a real life connection to poison and likely just goes back to Poison being mostly relegated to evil teams in the beginning.

Now Klara likely has the connection to Poison types due to her personality. Laziness, willingness to cheat, and lying are all usually considered to be discouraged behavior in a lot of cultures. Someone who exhibits these traits may be considered toxic.

Now Melli has similar connections to the Poison type as Klara, personality. Being cocky and self centered are considered negative traits which could also be considered toxic. The typing might also give him connections to Jupiter of Team Galactic with using similar Pokémon.

Roxie has the least amount of connections to poison at a glance but there's honestly a lot if you know what to look for. Roxie is a rock singer and rock music is considered evil or devilish to some people. This may seem more indicative of the dark type, but she got Poison instead.

Also where her gym is located may be a factor. You battle her in a basement hat she appears to hold concerts in and while the basement itself looks remarkably clean, there could also be traces of dirt in there making it unclean. Concerts that also be a place to exchange illicit drugs.

Whoo, now we got the individual trainers out of the way and can focus on larger scale trends.

PURPLE!. Oh boy do Poison trainers love their purple. This can be traced back to roots of purple being heavily used in colour palettes of villains, but also some naturally occurring substances are coloured purple. Deadly nightshade, wolfsbane, and some species of poison dart frogs use purple as a way to ward off predators.

Bright colours are also used in these designs like yellow, cyan, and pink. Again some species of animal have bright colours or markings to symbolize that they are toxic and not to eat them.

And there we have it. Are there more trends and connections to make? Yes, yes there are. Will I cover them in this posts? No, no I wont.

If you have anymore connections and trends you want to discuss, then I fully welcome you to do it! I'm usually happy to talk. Also you can absolutely request any ideas you want me to do in this series.
