Genuine question here, do people actually enjoy skybound?

I’ve seen some posts on TikTok talking about how it’s great because of the character development between Nya and Jay, which I understand, but then they don’t see anything wrong with it?

There are a lot of things that aren’t terrible about this season, don’t get me wrong… HOWEVER you can’t deny it gets weird.

Firstly we have Jay being mysogynistic and a bit of a creep. I saw someone call him an incel and unfortunately I feel they’re right. A lot of the characters get like this throughout the season as well, but it is mostly Jay. Personally he feels really out of character for a lot of the season, as well as Nya.

Onto Nya, I feel she didn’t get what she deserved this season. She told Jay she didn’t want to be defined by her relationships but he didn’t listen, and she makes a couple of very stupid mistakes. Then again, this is Ninjago and there are a lot of stupid mistakes.

Nadakhan had the ability to be such a good villain. If the writers didn’t make him interested in Nya i personally think it could have been more interesting. Yes, I know he was only interested in her because she looked like Dolores, but that does not excuse how creepy he was. Also, weren’t the ninja still teenagers at this time?

Alright, rambling over. I understand this season has very mixed feeling for a lot of people, and I really want to know your opinions on this season.

Technically he's a Djinn not a genie, they were very clear that the two were distinct throughout the show, who knows? Maybe the genie wishes behave differently.

Probably best not to chance it though, eh?

I was watching season 6 and it came to the scene where they go to dareth's place to get put into pirate uniforms and learn how to blend in. And lloyd tries to do a pirate accent and omg-

Basically Clancee becomes a friend of the ninja after Splinter in Blind Man's Eye... Pixal offered an upgrade for his leg but he profusely refused.

Eventually he was convinced by only if it was mostly wood, and the wood from his original peg leg was kept. :] He got a piercing from Lloyd as a little memory from their trip as well!

Hes very thin and wirey due to constant time on ships and being the last to eat. (He gives his food to anyone who might need it more, even if hes extremely hungry himself) Despite this, hes still fit because of his work.

Oh also Clancee is based on Basilisks, and keeps some serpentine traits. Ex; his mouth and the fact he walks upright like adult serpentine. My little baby anxiety fellow :]]

So Lloyd had her about six months before s3, so I headcannon he'd just turned physically 15 then (mentally 11 but in the end, he makes it work)

Also did the ninja explain everything at the start to nip every future problems in the bud or did they lied about where she came for?

So the idea is that the public finds out about her some time before the beginning of Skybound — when she's about 2. And since this is also during the time the ninja were chucked into as many interviews as possible, the team gets these type of questions a lot. A.K.A; every single blasted time.

It also doesn't help that the number one theory these interviewers have is a teenage pregnancy.

Gayle Gossip: So Mr Garmadon, (insert shocked pikachu face on Lloyd and all the other ninja), what do you think of the current... widespread interest surrounding the identity of the mother of your child?

Then, about literally three seconds later,

Gayle Gossip, pretends as though she actually understands: I see...but who is the mother?

And she is memed. A reporter managed to get a picture of her while she was being held by Lloyd and sticking two of her fingers up his nose. The thing is, both of them are middle fingers, so it really looks something like: fuck you for not putting me down for a nap — it's not my fault you just had to go check out the latest Starfarer comic and couldn't find a competent babysitter. And the caption of the meme is literally 'Your honor, I have every right to choose violence' , which is kinda just how the average day looks like for Lloyd.

I can't sleep... anyone else ever think of how awful of a person Nadakhan is. But also how his crew members weren't bad people, they were just desperate people who he took advantage of?

Dogshank was just a literal CHILD. when she met Nadakhan. Like 14 at most. My girl literally had pigtails. All she wanted was validation from people around her, or an ego boost from being "the best" at everything. And he turned her into a monster??? Because she was lonely???

Same thing for everyone else on Misfortune's Keep. A pirate crew of mainly poor people with slight quirks that had NOTHING, NOWHERE TO GO, AND NO ONE TO REMEMBER THEM IF THEY WENT MISSING. WHICH IS WHY NADAKHAN THOUGHT OF THEM AS THE PERFECT VICTIMS!!

HE DOESN'T PREY ON EVERYBODY, HE ONLY PREYS ON DESPERATE PEOPLE WITH LITTLE TO NOTHING TO LOSE. THIS COUNTS FOR ALL THE NINJA, BECAUSE THEY EACH HAD SOMETHING THEY'RE EXTREMELY DESPERATE FOR. OH MY GOD.
