I definitely read Mo Xuanyu’s “bad” make-up as being intentional. He wasn’t out here trying to look like a pretty, delicate flower. He wanted his appearance to be confronting. He wanted to externalise his feelings. WWX looks at that face and thinks he looks like a corpse and that’s exactly what MXY was going for.

We don’t get a direct look at MXY’s state of mind at all, and other characters think he’s just ~bad at make-up~ because he’s ~crazy~ but actually he independantly invented being a goth. I love that boy.

I am looking for a FanFiction about Jin Guangyao, Xue Yang, Su She and Mo Xuanyu working together on some task (for example deciphering Wei Wuxian's texts etc.). Preferably humor or absurdist comedy. Does anything exists?

Something that's always kinda peeved me is when ppl forget Wei Wuxian looks nothing like mo Xuanyu. Like it's part of the reason no one really deeply suspected to because why would the evil yiling laozu take a poor, cutsleeve as a host? And wwx wasn't that bad of an actor. It's only bc he kept running into ppl that knew him the most that he was ever suspected.
