Layla: what are you playing?

Marc: I'm playing poker, Steven's playing go fish and I think Jake is just hungry

Moonknight imagine because I’m sad.

I look over to Steven as he sits at his computer, but I just lay on the bed we share looking at him with sadness in me. “Steven… do you love me? Or am I a phase?” I ask him bluntly. Steven freezes as he looks towards me. “Oh sweetie no. No, no, no, why do you think something so hurtful?”

He walks to my side cupping my face as I hold back tears. “I… I don’t know… I just feel like you, Marc, Jake, and Layla will grow tired of me.” I sob out. Steven hugs me close, closer then ever before. “No honey no. We all love you, we love you so much we want to see you happy.”

Steven kisses me on the head as he wipes away my tears. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry. I don’t know why I-i just-“

“Shhh- it’s okay, it’s okay love.”

Steven stops me hugging me to his chest and petting my head. “Give yourself a moment to breathe then when you’re ready we can talk. Okay?”

I nod as we cuddle with each other as I slowly start opening up.

All I got to say is the season finale defo made me cream my pants

Headcanon: Marc has claustrophobia.

It makes sense, given how Randall died, so Marc would definitely have PTSD from that which was definitely a contributor to his DID in the first place.

Naturally, ‘When danger is near, Steven Grant has no fear’ Steven isn’t claustrophobic and so he doesn’t at first realize that his ‘fearless’ host is in fact scared of small, dark spaces. Especially underground. Mainly caves. With water.

I also recon that this is a big reason why Marc didn’t insist on fronting in episode 4 until he absolutely had to, he was quite happy to let Steven do all the dark, underground tomb-raiding, something he probably carefully got out of doing when he had been out doing archeological stuff with Layla in the past.

(This is, if she doesn’t already know about his claustrophobia or know about Randall, which is definitely the kind of thing that would be on The List of Marc’s Secrets From Layla.)

But I feel like there could be a time when for whatever reason, Marc and Layla have to go into a cave, there could be a river in there too, it could keep getting louder as they go deeper in and the tunnels get narrower, and Marc is pushing down panic but it’s getting harder. Steven, from the reflection in the water, would figure it out pretty quickly and gently try to convince Marc to let him take the body, but Marc keeps insisting that he’s fine. He’s not, and Layla notices, she and Steven trying their hardest to talk Marc out of a panic attack.

Then Marc goes very still, eyes flickering, then lets out a deep breath and Steven turns to a confused and concerned Layla just to say ‘let’s keep going,’ then he walks off.

Later, Layla would find time to ask one of them about what happened back in the cave, and that could be how Layla finds out about Randall, Wendy, and how Marc created Steven in the first place.

Just an idea.

The crocodile lady is finally Outta her coffin, in technical terms- Goddess Ammit was finally released from her usabti (what happened then shall wait).

Layla politely saying fuck off to khonshu and his tricks. The loveliness of the moment- "the manipulative twat gets told off".

I don't have words for this scene. Marc was finally having his moment, his confession. He manifested the quiet he always wanted but he threw it away without a care just to save Steven, just to have him back.

This was one of the funniest parts in the episode. "Manipulative twat gets told off again"- he literally grumbled at having to deal with Steven! And then they do their little name-game. 'Siply old bird' and 'little worm', of course it's sarcasm from both sides but fuck that- pet names are pet names.

May calamawy!!!!! Mama ate it!!! The way she switched between Taweret and herself- bent in pain) oh man!! She's BRILLIANT bloody hell!

And the costume!! Fire!! Taweret and Layla gonna end up besties!

That little smirk Layla gave to Marc like - "I'm saving your ass again, by the way in a costume this time" and the "oh, baby" Marc said and hugged her. Holy shit, therapy really did wonders on my boy, finally talking without restraints. Notice how the first thing Marc does is check up on her and then Steven out like "holy shit babe, what IS THAT?!" . Because of course Steven knows Layla can kick ass.

Steven fought!!! And the little dust off. Boy, his confidence literally had me out of my seat the whole time.

"Are you an Egyptian superhero?"

"Yes"

Hoy shit! The world finally has an Egyptian superhero, go Layla go. The pride in her voice though🔪

The Spanish killer's back in the league. And this time Jake's literally there. And is that khonshu in a fucking suit? They literally are like "jakey got a cabbie so we go take a trip to loony bin, let me wear my panty....no pants, yes pants."

By the way, Jake has a fucking temper and his first response to almost any stimuli has been to kill and escape so far..maybe he's doing this to protect Marc and Steven from khonshu and his horrors?

I love that Layla saved that girl because Taweret is the goddess of women and children so as her avatar, it’s only fitting that her first act as a superhero is to save a young girl.
