Here I am once again making memes of my Always!AU while I still can't find the willpower to write an actual fic.

DPxDC idea that has been floating around my head for a few months now:

Gotham, given its whole... thing with Lazurus Pools and general bad vibes, has a ghostly representative. Lady Gotham, when she bothers to be coporeal, looks like an influential lady from the 1920s, straight art deco elegance. A real classy girl.

Jazz is touring college campuses around the US. She has full ride offers from Gotham University, Metroplis College, and Star City State, to name a few. Danny, upon hearing that his sister is going to GOTHAM of all cities, decides he is going on this trip with her. He might be only 15, but his big sister isn't getting mugged while he has half an afterlife left to live!

Lady Gotham is all a flutter! Why the last ghost king was so frumpy! King Phantom is so handsome and powerful, and he is coming to her city. She absolutely has to show off her best side! She feels like a teenaged girl getting her home ready before a new beau comes to visit. She's flustered, she's nervous.

Meanwhile, John Constatine wakes up with cosmic alarm bells going off because something really, really bad is happening. He investigates to dicsover that for the past three days Gotham has not had a single crime.

No murders, muggings, hell not even a single jay walker!

Gotham the most cursed place on the North Or South American continent is suddenly more squeaky clean than whatever small farm town Superman grew up in.

No crimes, no smog in the air. Crime Lords seemingly gone in a puff of smoke, Assassins asleep in their beds.

Its so freaky. Even Batman is spooked and he is never spooked by anything.

Constantine is certain some demon or other nefarious being is harnessing Gothams cursed energy for some evil plot. Gathering the power to use it like a nuclear blast. Batman is concerned about mass mind control.

Lady Gotham is doing the metaphysical equivalent of hiding all of your stuff in a closet before a guest comes over because you dont have time to actually clean. She had to shoulder the thing closed! She just knows that when the lock fails there will be a huge mess.

Jazz and her family are just surprised about how nice Gotham U's campus is. She'd heard it was so dark and dangerous, but everyone is smiling and pleasant to her! Danny is just happy Jazz is safe from various villains.

So we have Batman investigating his rogues gallery for mind control plots, Constatine hunting for demons, Jazz and her family taking a walking tour of Gotham U, and Lady Gotham using every bit of her ghostly powers to make sure her damned, cursed city doesnt embarrass her in front of her crush!

I had an AU idea in the middle of class a few days ago:

Batman, aka. Bruce Wayne, who can use magic.

It originally started with Martha Wayne. She was a magician. A strong one. It only makes sense she would pass the knowledge down to her child too.

Even Thomas Wayne knew a thing or two about magic. Especially because the Wayne family had made a pact with Lady Gotham years ago. So yes, he has some knowledge on magic, runes and pacts.

When they died, young Bruce studied more of it.

And in the future, he teaches his children as well.

When he is Batman, he almost never uses magic. You can't keep depending on it. It's too risky. A risk he cannot afford to take.

But who's gonna fault him if he used a bit of magic to heal his and his family's injuries? Who's gonna fault him if he uses a bit of magic to blend himself into the shadows so he could scare off criminals? Who's gonna fault him if uses a bit of magic to make himself look more cryptid-like? Who's gonna blame them if they used a bit of magic to mess with villains and crappy co-workers? They're just using what they learned after all.

A couple days ago i made this post (tldr: Lady Gotham is married to a unknowing Batman and considers his children their children. She gives Jason the title of prince) and today this image popped into my head

Gotham, introducing her kids (who lit didnt know they were her kids until 2 minutes ago) to King Phantom and when she gets to Jason she nudges him forward and starts wingmaning him

Gotham, hands on Jason's shoulders: this is Jason, my prince. He is currently single. I can't help but notice you two are around the same age...

Made a fic? More like a drabble, to go with my drawing.

Read a fic years ago (please help me find it so I can give credit) where physical manifestations of different DC cities showed up. That's pretty much all I remember, but this is what I think Gotham looks like.

She wears a gray hoodie over a black ball dress (concealing a near infinite number of knives) with a skirt that's torn and stained with blood and filth. The dress is low backed, and when she takes off the hoodie it reveals an abundance of whipping scars. She wears a pearl necklace and rarely speaks, though she has been known to sing, scream, and make various cooing, chirping, hissing, growling or otherwise animalistic noises.

Her hair and skin are dark, her eyes kaleidoscopes (everyone disagrees afterwards what color they were, all agree they saw into your soul), and her height changes according to the situation. She has a black eye and tear-stained cheeks, some say because she is forever mourning her children. Her feet are bare and bleeding, as though she's been walking on broken glass.

She wanders the alleys and walks the shadows, weeping, bleeding, mourning, comforting, calling. Darkness heeds her command, and she protects her children however she can. She is the adoptive mother of the strays and orphans that dwell within. She is Lady Gotham.

Lady Gotham as I saw her in @jotaroslooseeyebrowhair fic (Un)Dead Beat Dad. It's not one on one but this is how she appears in my head 👻

~Prompt~

Lady Gotham collects curses like one would collect Pokemon/Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

Like, she literally buys them of off people. She also offers to trade rare curses for one's she has in excess. Tho, no one takes her up on those offers, which she considers very odd (she's completely clueless that people don't collect curses like post stamps, and she finds it odd that no one wants to trade with her [:(] ).

She keeps them in the form of little cards with all the accompanying stats like attack power, effectiveness, energy cost, evil etc. (They are written in units of measurement only she understands)

ANYWAYS- When Danny need a curse to actually tech Vlad a lesson this time (and maybe something for the GIW) he goes to Lady Gotham to ask her if she has anything that fits his needs. She immediately pulls out 16 different decks of curses.

Danny always jokingly said his luck was cursed, so he offers it up in jest. Lady Gotham immediately slides the 16 ridiculously large decks of curses to Danny and apologizes "I'm sorry I don't have any more, if I knew you where going to offer up such an powerful curse, I would have prepared even more."

Danny ends up picking like 3 very funny and very lesson inducing curses and leaves, somewhat shocked but happy anyway, while Lady Gotham fades away with a smile (She is happy someone finally traded with her)

Meanwhile, on a nearby building Red Hood stares at the spot where the exchange he just witnessed took place, very incredulous and somewhat spooked.

As he goes to rub his eyes, he is completely unaware that he does so trough his helmet, he is also unaware of the rumbling coming from his chest. The Fenton Luck Curse starts striking.
