Oh my God this made me think of Haru from Beastsrs. Because oh my God does the fandom not only infantlize her but also demonize her. Like, they can't see a female character that is comfortable in her sexuality, even empowered by it, without either going one way or another with it. She's either completely boiled down to sleeping with people or mischaracterized to be just a helpless and scared girl that needs protection. It just gets on my nerves so much. ヘ⁠（⁠。⁠□⁠°⁠）⁠ヘ

video games/tv shows/media in general will sometimes be really good and depict women with complexity and their own nuance and sometimes maybe even the traumas they face.

only for the fandom surrounding it to completely discard her and her trauma and turn her into either shipping fodder (especially with her abusers) or a tie between pure infantlization or objectification.

and then the worst route of all, demonization cuz she's kinda mean, not mean, KINDA mean.

So I've finished watching Beastars a while ago and I gotta say it's easily one of my favourites last season.

The art style, although it's probably CGI is very refreshing. The characters genuine and relatable.

The theme is quite mature and dark at times, which really adds to the unique and interesting characters and environment.

... also Legosi is such a cinnamon roll.
