eventually elphaba will die. glinda will die. everybody that fiyero and boq ever cared about or loved will die. but they won’t. they’re straw and metal. they will eventually be the only ones still standing. but at least they’ll always be able to return to each other. at least two of them are cursed with immortality, and they don’t have to brave it alone.

Boyfriends dancing through life together + having a little break afterwards

Imagine dancing through life where the part where Boq asks Glinda to “save a dance for me” but he was referring to her letting him have at least one dance with Fiyero, and Glinda thought it was about her. That would be funny 👀

Okay, so:

I’ve seen a few posts that are pitching, like, Fiyerboq equivalents of Gelphie moments (What Is This Feeling, the Popular makeover scene, etc) and it made me realize something:

In this hypothetical Fiyerboq-centric AU, Fiyero and Boq would have the Glinda and Elphaba dynamic up until Defying Gravity, at which point, they would switch roles.

If Fiyero and Boq were the ones to discover the truth about the Wizard, Boq would absolutely not be willing to give up the popularity and acceptance that he’d yearned for his whole life like Elphaba did.

In contrast, Fiyero would have learned to do the right thing, no matter the personal cost. He would make the same decision as Elphaba, leaving Boq behind.

i can imagine that when they first meet on the yellow brick road and dont know each other, Boq wouldn't be concerned about "the Scarecrow" losing straw. just assumes its normal for living scarecrows and figures the guy doesn't seem bothered. but after the two of them figure out who each other are (no matter how poorly that conversation goes) Boq would see Scarecrow loose a bit of straw and immediately goes "FIYERO. FIYERO ARE YOU OKAY." totally forgetting how easily he's walked it off the past days of traveling. Fiyero has to go into damage control mode and assure Boq He's Fine because he does NOT want to deal with Boq rusting himself again.

I don't suppose you have any more Tincrow art, or even just some doodles of the tin man or scarecrow. (I love how you draw them)

Fiyero: little does he know, I want someone to shoot his father with a rifle.

Just want to say that love your designs for Dorothy and friends. Love the book-insprired Dorothy, haven't seen much of those around (usually they're based of the 1939 movie), the shapes of on the Lion's fur, the Tin Man having Movie!Boq curls, they are all great, lovely and detailed designs.

But I love your Scarecrow (Fiyercrow), he just looks so whimsy, I don't why, but he is my favorite out of designs of og Oz party, I guess he just seems so silly, and love the little details that you included.

On a serious note: thank you so, so much for your kind words. I have always struggled with character design, so learning that people in fact enjoy seeing my creations and I'm not 'that one annoying user'? Huzzah! I'm really happy!

People will really judge us for shipping these two but it’s like…look at the material?

In this one little clip we’ve got Boq literally falling while trying to get closer, Fiyero smiling down at him and looking at him like he’s the cutest thing he’s ever seen, Boq standing tall on the books to be at eye level with him (for Galinda to notice him yes but also…) and Fiyero looking absolutely offended that he’s looking past him and not AT him. Then Boq looking super nervous while Fiyero literally eyes him up and down, Fiyero reaching out for him and Boq tripping over himself to try and reach back, then literally running after him. And that’s just their introduction 😭

Also Galinda literally having to drag Fiyero away from Boq lmao
