I came up with a comic idea years ago about Hendrik and Rab bonding over the fact that they've lived through such similar overwhelming losses. Maybe they can learn how to better live with it through each other!

Do you guys ever think about how Hendrik survived the fall of both Zwaardsrust and Dundrasil? The fact that they both fell due to monster attacks must have been horrible for him.

I cannot tell you how many hours I spent constantly grinding in the same spot to get all the necessary seeds to max out Erik's attack stat, I deadass used keybinds and would let it run for hours

I ended up breaking the bank from the sheer number of other weapons I had collected from the monsters I fought

The good news: Seeds of Defence boost by four points. The bad news: Seeds of Therapeusis boost by two points. Seeds of Sorcery boost by two points. Seeds of Agility boost by two points. Seeds of Deftness boost by one point. Pretty Betsys boost by one point.

i decided to have some fun and merge Dragon Quest XI with the inktober prompts, so here's a grim gryphon dressed as a witch!

I adore your galaxy brain, and I also raise you this idea: Rab looks at Ogler's Digest magazines because he wants to be like the girls in the magazines. In one of the 2D quests, a bunch of old men are turned into bunny girls. If you talk to Rab at some point in the quest, he says "Hm, maybe I could become a bunny girl? Aye, that wouldnae be so bad—it might give me a new lease of life!"

Ever since then, I've just imagined that when Rab said he was reading the magazines for the articles, he was telling the truth because he wanted to learn how to become a bunny girl. I love that option so much more than the old "horny grandpa" trope.

not to post opinions about media on main but every time I open hendrik’s wiki page for drawing references I always catch the part in his bio where whoever wrote it calls him “perverted” and I really have to wonder. did I play the same game as everyone else? I have to know what in-text convinced people that hendrik is secretly lecherous like rab is. from what I gather it’s genuinely just the running gag about the porno magazine and that he’s generally attracted to women but… listen. I don’t care how gallant and heroic the guy is. he’s not getting any. he’s the most repressed man I’ve ever seen before in my entire life. I know in my heart of hearts he’s collecting those magazines the same way someone collects vintage lego. just staring at unclothed women and nodding like yes the photography on this is fantastic. every time he’s tried to start a relationship he treats it like he’s signing a blood oath and not in a romantic way. its in the kind of way where you wish therapy was invented just so he could have it. he’s at any given moment one stressor away from a heart attack. he canonically reacts to women being attracted to him by looking like he’s gonna die of embarassment. and you’re gonna tell me you think he’s horny. that if he even thought about boobs at an inopportune moment he wouldn’t just take his greatsword and chop his dick off.
