Sometimes depression looks like laying under a weighted blanket with your blackout curtains closed other times I’m asleep

Instead of fearing struggle, trust in the knowing that it is strengthening you. Comfort does not create strength, challenges do.

I wonder if there is a correlation between:

- refusing to watch new shows and keep rewatching your old comfort shows, and

- refusing to read books with original characters and keep reading fanfiction about characters you already know and love

I want my fellow writers to know that I’m giving them the biggest hug. I want them to know they are the best people in existence. I want them to know how much I admire and look up to them. I want them to know that I cherish their stories and that they bring a sense of comfort to me and allow me to escape. I want them to know that without them, their beautiful souls and without their masterpieces that I would be in a much worse place than what I am today. In other words, you all saved me from myself. I want them to know that they are all loved and appreciated. I know I am only one person but I love you all and I’m proud of you and am thankful for you and all of your hard work.
