(Estas loco por pensar eso) Sus propios ojos apenas pudieron seguir esos miseros segundos de lo que se volvería su más grande agonía. Como un ser como ese maldito monstruo podría atravesar con su gigantesca mano y sus garras el cuerpo de su más grande amigo. La sangre salto con el golpe y mancho el suelo frente a mi cuerpo caído, luego cayó al suelo y comenzó a arrasar con la tierra debajo. Mis ojos conectaron con los de Byung en ese instante y pude sentir en carne propia su dolor, su agonía, su miedo a morir, y un latido después el monstruo se comió la cabeza de Byung. Mi cuerpo no pudo respirar antes de lanzarse hacia adelante, la ira moviendo cada articulación, quemando cada nervio y empujando hacia adelante, pero no era suficiente el dolor para ser rápido. Es sujetado por el cuello por la hormiga no mucho luego de saltar hacia el frente, sus pies no tocaron el piso, su bestia se desencadena, quiere venganza, quiere su sangre. Hacerle pasar por el mismo dolor que lo está devorando por dentro. Pero sus garras no perforan, su fuerza no es suficiente, no puede contra este monstruo. Incluso el maldito bastardo no aprieta su agarre, no busca matarlo, sólo saborea la agonía dentro del cuerpo de su bestia, la impotencia de no haber podido hacer nada y no ser lo suficientemente fuerte para hacer algo. Sus dedos sangran y no puede llegar a nada, raspa la superficie y no perforan nada, sus uñas se rompen y sigue presionando con sus dedos bañados en sangre, deja que se valla su carne y siga con sus huesos, no le importa. No sólo los cazadores habían sido superados en poder, sino que estaban realmente en una sitiacion desventajosa. La cazadora Cha Hae-In estaba inconsciente, otro cazador también, Choi Jong In estaba sangrando en grandes cantidades pero estaba consciente y sólo estaban ilesos el cazador Ma y un cazador rango A, Min Byung-Gyu no se veía por ningún lado. Y Baek Yoon-Ho estaba.. Gire y capture con mis ojos lo que realmente los rumores no podían llegar a hacerle justicia. Baek Yoon-Ho realmente era una bestia. El movimiento repetitivo y bestial al que se removia continuamente mientras trataba de romper algo del brazo que lo sostenía por el cuello, los rugidos que escupia en la cara del insecto y la sangre que marchaban sus manos sólo acompañaba la impactante imagen. No se veía asustado, se veía furioso. Igris. Tusk. Mis sombras prestaron completa atención a mi llamado. Protejan a los cazadores. Avance hacia la hormiga sin mirar atrás a las sombras que se separaban de mis pies antes de romperse y formar las formas de mis soldados, sólo avance hacia el encuentro con el

insecto y el cazador que actuaba como como una bestia frente a un enemigo más fuerte. La hormiga me reconoció y soltó a Baek Yoon-Ho para encontrarse conmigo. Dio un golpe y levantó la tierra, mis ojos sólo pudieron seguir la forma blanca de una bestia que se negaba a retroceder y saltaba como un verdadero depredador a las espaldas de la hormiga, quien iba a filtrarse para atrápalo pero interrumpi al saotar al frente para golpearlo hacia otra dirección, Yoon-Ho se veía listo para seguirlo. Me acerqué a detenerlo ya sabiendo la diferencia de poder con sentirla, pero algo me hizo detenerme. Algo se sentía extraño, algo se sentía diferente en el cazador Yoon-Ho. Mis soldados se dispersaron hacia todas direcciones una vez mate al insecto y volví para revisar a los heridos, para buscar el cuerpo de Byung. Uno de mis orcos traía el cuerpo de Byung Gyu en sus brazos de forma suave, camino todo el trayecto hasta mi y lo dejó a mis pies. El abdomente estaba perforado y le faltaba la cabeza, la sombra aún extraíble. Observe en mi periferia la reacción de Yoon-Ho, no puedo culparlo por haber actuado de esa forma con lo que probablemente observo que le hacían a su amigo sin poder hacer nada contra una fuerza mayor a la suya. No es como si no lo hubiera visto moverse puesto que era más rápido, pero Yoon-Ho se transformó en su forma bestia y recorrió la pequeña distancia hasta el cuerpo de Byung Gyu en un instante, asustando a quienes miraban. No esperaba ese tipo de reacción, pero definitivamente se sintió como algo natural. Comenzó a extender los diente y a gruñir, a nadie más que a mi. No pude evitar sentir lástima por él, humano o bestia, ese debía ser lo peor. Alzaba su mana en punta y en abrumadoras cantidades, parecía pensar o saber que podría estar pensando en hacer con el cuerpo de Byung-Gyu, o algo más. Pero no había tiempo, el estado de la cazadora Cha estaba empeorando cada vez más, cada vez más rápido, a este paso podría tener más oportunidades de volverse una sombra. Iron. Distraelo. El cuerpo de Iron se alzó a mi izquierda y luego se acerco a Yoon-Ho a zancanadas con su escudo frente a él, bruto pero con algo de astucia, muy bien. Yoon-Ho, o mejor dicho la bestia dentro de él, salto al frente presa de la furia ante un ataque al cuerpo que protegía y corrió hacia Iron, quien estratégicamente comenzó a retroceder para alejarlo. Tome mi oportunidad y comencé a probar mi suerte. Surje. Parecía no querer funcionar de buenas a primeras, pero tengo dos oportunidades, así que voy a necesitar que copeere. Surge. Y puedo ser muy terco, porque necesitamos que esto funcione o no sólo habria una muerte. Surge. Las sombras se arremolinearon antre ellas y con el cuerpo del cazador, antes de que un brazo negro y repleto de armadura cruzara desde el centro del cuerpo en el suelo. So, an alien group invades earth as the Justice League goes to stop them.

Red Tornado tells the team that, just in case, they're Earth's last defense, and they learn the aliens are at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman's lair by the North Pole.

They arrive at the area, everyone decked out in winter gear.

Artemis and Jake move through ice formations and spot one of the alien ships.

Jake: Found the fucking jackpot.

Just like that, Miss Martian flies over and her eyes glow green as she uses her telekinesis to rip the end of one of the wings.

Miss Martian: (On the link) Communications disabled. Propulsion disabled.

The ship then falls to the ground.

Artemis then jumps out of her spot and whips out her bow and arrow. She then fires her arrow at the ship's red center which immediately expands and hardens as it tries to fire on her trying to find the team.

Jake: (On the link) And ET's are sealed inside.

Aqualad, who's underneath the ice, jumps out with his WaterBearers. He then sinks the ship a little as it turns around to shoot him.

Luckily, Cloud and Brocky jump on the ship on the ship and proceed to rip the ship a new one.

Superboy and Y/n then pop up and brace the ship as they keep it from moving.

Y/n then uses Ruler's Authority to restrain the ship's movement.

Y/n: No way out for you.

Kid Flash arrives with Robin in tow. Robin hops off Kid's back and uses his HoloGlove to hack its systems.

During the process, Cloud gets blasted by the ship's laser and disappears.

Miss Martian and Y/n: (gasps) Cloud.

Robin: There was no indication of feedback. I'm sorry.

Y/n: Me too, Conner.

Superboy: Can't do anything for him now. Let's go.

Superboy then rips off the laser as Supergirl flies over and grabs the laser. From there, M'gann uses her telekinesis to place the laser on the BioShip.

Miss Martian: Rerouting systems to integrate weapon into ship's bio-matrix. We'll need to de-camouflage for a few minutes.

Jane: Ummm, guys...

Robin and Jake: We may not have a few minutes.

Two more ships, similar to the one they just destroyed flying towards them.

Blackfire: Well, we're fucked.

Aqualad: Miss Martian, open fire.

Miss Martian: Can't. Weapon systems are off-line to incorporate the new cannon. And that's not yet fully integrated either.

Y/n: Tusk, Pyyrha, come forth.

Tusk and Pyyrha rise from Y/n's shadow and open fire, unleashing fireballs at the ships but they dodge.

Jake: Tusk, come on, man. You really can’t aim at all!

Tusk sulks at Jake's comment as Y/n berates her older brother.

Y/n: Jake!

Jake: What?! It's true.

Artemis then whips out her bow again.

Artemis: Gotcha covered. Get inside! I'm almost there.

Artemis nocks three arrows as she then releases the arrows. Two of them hit, one of the ships lands in the ground and the other explodes midair.

The crashed ship hums back to life as it activates.

It's laser trained on her.

Miss Martian: Artemis.

Y/n: Behind you!

However, it's too late, as Artemis turns around to aim her bow but gets blasted by the laser, disappearing into nothing.

Miss Martian and Y/n: Artemis!

Kid Flash: No!

Aqualad orders everyone to head inside as he uses his WaterBearers to tear the ship apart.

Kid Flash: They're dead. Every last alien if it's the last thing I do.

Y/n's eyes glow magenta as she grips her fist.

Y/n: Same here.

Eventually, the team flies off while everyone mourns Artemis.

M'gann holds back tears while piloting the BioShip.

Kid bangs his hands on his console.

Y/n, just like everyone else, is experiencing a mix of sadness, grief, anger, rage and all in between.

Y/n's thoughts: (Why I couldn't do anything?! I'm supposed to be absolutely powerful thanks to the system. All this power and I couldn't do shit.)

Y/n grips her hair tightly as she taps her foot quickly.

Y/n's thoughts: (Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT!!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO SOMETHING, Y/N?!!! YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!! You couldn't save your mother or father. And now, you couldn't save one of your lovers. How worthless are you?!)

A hand places itself on Y/n's shoulder as she turns around to see Jane.

Jane: Hey, N/n. Are you OK?

Y/n starts to sob but holds her tears back, knowing it'd be selfish to make it about her since everyone else was feeling Artemis' "death".

Y/n: (Stammering) I-I should've done something.

Jane: We all do.

Aqualad then tells the team that they'll just mourn Artemis later, and the job comes first.

He also advises the team that they need to head over to the Hall of Justice to let mankind know there's still people here to defend them.

As they arrive at the Hall of Justice, an army of US military soldiers fight against the aliens but their resistance yields little fruit.

The camouflaged BioShip flies behind a few ships as it blasts them.

Y/n in her demon Monarch form flies over one of the ships and spawns two chained blades.

She then stabs both ships and slams them together, causing them to explode.

Meanwhile, Superboy with Iron hop onto a ship and smash into the ground as Iron slams his axe into the ship.

Superboy manages to stop the ship from flattening a few soldiers.

He then hits the iconic Superman pose as the soldiers celebrate.

Random soldier #1: See? It is Superman. I told you he wouldn't leave us out here all alone.

Random soldier #2: I don't know. He looks kinda young. Where's the cape?

Conner then tries to explain that he's not Superman but the general, Wade Eiling, tells him since he's wearing the symbol, he's got the title.

The Team heads inside with the army waiting outside with thousands of shadow soldiers and familiars waiting outside.

Once inside, they check through the place and eventually find Martian Manhunter. Manhunter explains that he doesn't remember what happened or how he ended up where he's at.

Robin and Kid Flash discover that the laser weapon that they got has Zanopenes, the stuff that powers Zeta-beam tubes.

They start to believe the possibility that Artemis is alive.

However, things don't go well forever as the aliens attack and the team decides to bail with Martian Manhunter.

Aqualad decides to stay back with Jake as well.

Before that, Jake walks up to his little sister and grabs her shoulders.

Jake: Sis, I know I'm supposed to protect you and you know I love you. And I'm so proud of you. Got boja, sojunghan naui yeodongsaeng. (See you soon, my precious little sister.)

Jake takes off his mask and places it on Y/n.

Jake: You keep it, sis. It's gotta stay in the family. If you and the others find me and Aqualad with Artemis, then success. If not...

Y/n starts to cry as she realizes what her brother is implying.

Y/n: (Crying) Jake, please don't do this. Please, you can't leave me like Mom and Dad did.

Jake hugs Y/n one last time as he looks over to M'gann and the others.

Jake: Please, keep her safe, no matter what.

Y/n and the others head into the Zeta-beam tube and dip to the alien's main ship as Jake and Kaldur get eviscerated into nothing.

From there, once the remaining members of the Team arrive at the main ship of the aliens.

Superboy, Supergirl, Jane, Blackfire, Starfire, and Stargirl distract the aliens and get blasted as they disappear.

And as they head into the ship, Martian Manhunter reveals that the lasers that blasted everyone don't teleport people, they vaporize them.

Meaning the rescue mission they embarked on is pointless.

But they press on regardless and Y/n ends up as one of the many casualties and gets vaporized.

In the end, Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Martian Manhunter are the only ones left.

Robin and Kid Flash stay behind and blow up the main ship with themselves in the process while M'gann sees her friends and their beloved girlfriend Y/n get packed up.

Martian Manhunter then stabs M'gann in the chest and wakes her up.

It is then revealed that all the shit that happened was a psychic simulation made to train the team incase a major alien attack happened but when Artemis "died"... that had M'gann lose her shit and hijack the simulation, making everything seem real when it wasn't.

J'onn laments on how powerful of a psychic his niece is.

A knock on the door is heard as a nurse walks in.

The nurse gasps in shock as she sees the two girls covered in sweat and hella fit too.

The nurse apologizes and states that Jinwoo and Y/n are being discharged from the hospital now that they've fully recovered.

She even tries to snag their phone numbers, to which they hand over since Jinwoo and Y/n think that the hospital might call them for other things.

Sometime later, Jinwoo and Y/n return to their home as Jinah walks out the living room.

Jinah: Hey, Jinwoo? Where's Y/n?

Jinwoo: She's asleep. Plus, I've been awake for a while now. Have fun at school.

Jinwoo yawns as she scratches her toned stomach.

Jinah takes notice of her older sister's new appearance. Jinwoo was now taller, more muscular and her hair had grown a bit.

Y/n walks into the room as she yawns while giving Jinwoo a kiss on the shoulder since she's too tired.

Jinah then looks at Y/n and notices that she's changed too. Y/n's curves have become more refined and voluptuous than before, her body also more toned and fit like Jinwoo but more unique and feminine to her.

Jinwoo then checks out her biceps, marveling at the transformation her body and Y/n's body has gone through within the span of a few days.

Jinwoo: Man, we really are jacked.

Jinwoo: If we keep investing in strength, we'll just become bodybuilders. Well, you might end up looking like a model.

Jinwoo grabs Y/n and sets her down on her lap.

The person on the other line is the landlord.

Landlord: You finally picked up.

Jinwoo I'm so sorry, me and Y/n were stuck in the hospital, sir. We're both here, so, you're calling about the rent, right?

The landlord decides to delay rent payment for them till they can pay up.

Later on, Jinwoo and Y/n are running towards a construction site as the system informs them they completed the running bit of their daily quest.

Jinwoo and Y/n: Confirm.

The screens of the two players then shows the rewards they received. Three ability points, a random loot box and full recovery.

Just as they're about to pick, a voice calls out to them.

Dongsuk: Hey, there!

Jinwoo and Y/n walk up to Hwang Dongsuk/ Dongsuk Hwang and his party.

Dongsuk: The name's Dongsuk Hwang.

Dongsuk then shakes Jinwoo's hand and then Y/n's

Jinwoo: And mine's Jinwoo Sung.

Y/n: Y/n L/n, nice to meet you.

Dongsuk: E-Rank, right?

Jinwoo and Y/n: Yes, sir.

One of the hunters then points out that Jinwoo and Y/n are known as the weakest hunters of all mankind.

Dongsuk then tells his fellow hunters to chill out and apologizes for their actions.

He also informs the girls that since they're E-Rank, they'll just carry the bags. They won't get any of spoils but still get paid for participating regardless.

Dongsuk mentions that they don't have a healer, to which Y/n asks why.

Dongsuk replies that getting a healer is tough, hence why they have to use first aid kits as alternatives.

Jinwoo and Y/n sign the contract for the raid as another hunter walks up to them decked in armor and some sweet gear.

The hunter being Yoo Jinho/Jinho Yoo.

Jinho: My name's Jinho Yoo. I'm a 21-year-old D-Rank hunter, and I signed up as a quota guy, just like you two!

Y/n:Interesting.

Jinwoo: We see.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (A D-Rank with that gear? Is this kid a trust fund baby)?

Jinho: It's your first C-Rank raid ever? Huh! Don't you worry, I'll be there to keep you safe!

Jinwoo and Y/n: Awesome/Cool.

Everyone gears up as they get ready for the raid ahead.

Dongsuk: Let's move out!

As they walk forward, Jinho is chatting it up with Jinwoo and Y/n.

Jinho: Those bags look really heavy, think that you guys will be okay?

Y/n: It's nothing, really.

Jinwoo: Yes, but thanks for asking.

Jinho: Oh, come on, girls, I'm younger than you, so just drop all the "please" and "thank-yous".

Jinwoo: Works for us.

Y/n: Alright.

The group heads inside the gate and arrives in the dungeon but finds nothing.

Dongsuk: Well, this is different, no beasts to greet us?

Kyu-hwan: Awfully dark for a dungeon, too.

The other hunters all to start to wonder what's up with the dungeon being so dark.

Jinwoo and Y/n assume this is similar to the Cartenon Temple.

They reach a hallway-like area with various tunnels everywhere.

Jinho: What if it's a bust? Just a big, empty cave. What d'you guys think? Could a dungeon without a single magic beast even exist?

Jinwoo and Y/n: Quiet.

Jinwoo and Y/n use their enhanced perception and senses to detect the magic beasts coming down.

Jinwoo's thoughts: ( I hear them)...

Y/n's thoughts: (Looks like they've found us. They just haven't shown themselves yet).

Dongsuk: (readies his sword) Everyone ready?

The other hunters agree as they ready themselves for what's to come.

Jinwoo and Y/n try to figure out what's coming.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (What moves as a group, lives in the dark, but is drawn to light when they sense it)?

They think of this question as a riddle of a sorts.

Then, it hits them as they yell out.

Jinwoo and Y/n: We're dealing with insect-types!

Kyu-hwan: Insects?

Dongsuk: Damn it, no wonder it's dark!

Kyu-hwan: What do you see over there, boss?

Dongsuk: Buncha nothin', they're hiding!

As the party freaks out, the two players figure out the enemies are above.

Jinwoo and Y/n: There!

Dozens of ants begin to fall down like hail on a super stormy day.

Dongsuk: Kyu-hwan!

Kyu-hwan: On it!

Kyu-hwan unleashes a light beam up in the air, obliterating the ants.

The group of hunters proceed to slaughter every single ant in sight.

Jinwoo and Y/n notices how well the group work together and Jinho's gear accommodating his lack of skills.

The group then loot the ant corpses for essence stones.

Dongsuk walks up to Jinwoo and Y/n as he speaks with them.

Dongsuk: That was some call you made, Jinwoo and Y/n. Those bugs about ambushed us.

Jinwoo: Glad to help.

Y/n: We're happy to assist, that's all.

Dongsuk: How were you able to tell they were attacking us from above?

Jinwoo and Y/n look at him with a serious look.

Jinwoo and Y/n: Instinct.

Dongsuk: Huh. Then your instincts are very sharp. We'd be dead!

Kyu-hwan: Hey, boss, get a load of this!

Dongsuk goes over to one of his party members and finds that the ants were already wounded before they arrived. Meaning something bigger and meaner did this.

The group presses forward through the dungeon.

Jinho: Hey, you guys, those bags must be heavy to carry in this huge place. Really, I don't mind helping.

Y/n: That's really kind, Jinho. But you don't need to do that, at all.

Jinwoo: They're really not as heavy as you think. Plus, we're getting paid without fighting magic beasts, which is a pretty sweet deal.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Or at least I thought it was. Now, it seems too sweet. What's this nagging feeling?)

Jinwoo thinks of how shady this hunter party is since they didn't bother to bring a healer, plus they hired other hunters like herself and Y/n to fill some kind of quota.

They also encounter mostly dead or dying ants which makes everything ten times worse.

The group comes across giant spider webs as they move onwards.

They then spot some mana crystals.

Jinsuk: Jackpot!

Kyu-hwan: No way.

The group realizes how much money the crystals are worth.

Jinho turns to the ladies as he reaches out his hand.

Jinho: Hey, Jinwoo, Y/n, can I see that contract you guys signed before entering the dungeon? There's something I wanna double-check for you.

Jinwoo: Okay.

Jinwoo hands over the contract she and Y/n signed as Jinho inspects it throughly.

Jinho then confronts Dongsuk.

Jinho: Excuse me, Mister Hwang, sir?

Dongsuk turns to face the D-Rank hunter as Jinho speaks with him.

Jinho: According to Jinwoo and Y/n's contract, they should be in on this. Battle drops are the only things they don't get a share of. Since mana crystals are excavated as opposed to being dropped by beasts, shouldn't this particular find be split nine ways instead of eight?

Dongsuk with a smile on his face, speaks.

Dongsuk: Well, of course, let's split it all evenly! Fair is Fair, after all. But first...

Dongsuk looks up to what appears to be a massive spider, sleeping in its little nest.

Jinho: The dungeon boss!

Dongsuk then explains that mining the mana crystals takes priority since killing the boss will just close the gate.

He then asks one of the hunters, Chul-jin, to go the equipment for mining but he states he left them in his car.

Dongsuk then tells Jinwoo, Y/n and Jinho that they stay there while they head outside for the equipment.

However, our lovely couple/players don't buy this seemingly half-baked story.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Regulations say you need eight to nine members to take on a C-Rank dungeon. Their squad only consists of six.)

Jinwoo then thinks back to what Dongsuk told her and Y/n a while ago about how they never do raids with a healer involved.

Y/n seeing Jinwoo in thought also realizes the same thing.

Y/n's thoughts: (Jin must be thinking of how these guys said they're "used to it", meaning they must've taken on a fair share of C-Rank dungeons before this one. So why recruit me, Jin and Jinho instead of regular temps? Something doesn't add up.)

Suddenly, the boss's lair entrance is blocked off by an explosion.

Jinho: No! No! Considering the timing, I think they just betrayed us.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (I knew it, those bastards.)

Jinwoo recalls a conversation with Chiyul who tells her of how in the line of hunter work, there's bound to be a few bad apples who will do heinous shit since in dungeons, the law can't do nothing.

Jinho punches a nearby mana crystal in anger.

Jinho: They're really trying to kill us. All because of some lousy mana crystals?

Jinho starts to blame himself for bringing up the contract but Y/n stops him.

Y/n: No, we were in their trap from the very beginning. They were ready to strike us down on the spot after a single fatal move.

Jinwoo: More importantly.

The spider boss drops down as Jinho readies his sword and shield, standing infront of Y/n and Jinwoo.

Jinho: Jinwoo, Y/n... I said I'd protect you so that's what I'll do! Somehow I'll manage.

Jinwoo and Y/n look around, trying to figure out an escape route as the spider boss creeps closer and closer.

Jinwoo and Y/n decide to fight the boss themselves as they drop their bags.

Jinwoo: Jinho, don't move.

Y/n: We got this one, sweetie. We're gonna fight this thing.

Jinho is taken aback by the couple's boldness and confidence.

Jinho: Wait... you guys mean like fight-fight?

Jinwoo and Y/n spawn Kasaka's Venom Fang daggers in their hands respectively.

They walk up to the boss with such bravado and confidence that can make the whole world stop.

Jinwoo and Y/n: We mean this one's ours.

And just like that, Jinwoo and Y/n face off against another great opponent.

Back to the story, our group of hunters are now trapped in the dungeon, plus two of the hunters got killed.

One had been beheaded and the other vaporized into oblivion.

Everyone is panicking, wondering on what to do.

As the others scream and panic, Y/n is wondering what will happen next.

Y/n's thoughts: ( This is terrible. Two hunters just died like that! And in a flash?! We're screwed. We're absolutely fucked)!

Chiyul calls out to everyone as he yells:

Chiyul: Everyone, stay still! I think moving makes it mad, too!

Everyone stops moving as they stand still.

Jinwoo and Y/n turn over to Joohee, who's terrified as shit. Lying on the ground with her hands on her and covering her ears as she tries to ignore the chaos.

Jinwoo tries to get Joohee back to reality.

Jinwoo: Hey, hey, Joohee! Stay with me!

Jinwoo turns to Y/n for help.

Jinwoo: Y/n, help me snap her out of it.

Y/n: Yeah.

Y/n tries to comfort Joohee in order to get her to help them.

Y/n: Joohee, sweetheart, please open your eyes. We need you here.

Joohee doesn't listen as she just ignores them.

Chiyul: That was a close one.

Chiyul walks up to Y/n and Jinwoo as he talks to them.

Chiyul: We'd all be piles of ash right now if it weren't for you, two.

Y/n and Jinwoo: Us?

Chiyul: You two yelled because you figured it out, right?

Y/n: Sorry, sir. But that's not it.

Jinwoo: It's just that we sensed something dangerous.

Y/n: Mister Song! Your arm!

Y/n refers to Chiyul's now bloody amputated left arm.

Jinwoo takes note of this as well as she gasps in shock.

Chiyul sees what she's talking about as he chuckles.

Chiyul: If I grit my teeth, it isn't all bad.

Y/n: Then, we must patch it up immediately.

Y/n manages to use some bandages from her backpack to stop the bleeding.

As she's applying the bandages, Chiyul speaks.

Chiyul: Normally, I'd ask the party's healer to patch me up. Ours spooks easily, though. That's why she only does bottom-rung raids despite being a B-Rank hunter.

Y/n and Jinwoo face Joohee, who's still lying on the floor terrified and in the fetal position.

Y/n: Can't say I blame her, though. Everyone is shocked out of their minds.

Chiyul goes on to state that in his time of raiding various dungeons, he's never been in this type of situation.

He also points out that the three commandments are no joke, meaning that they must follow the rules of the commandments or die.

Jinwoo and Y/n realized when the commandments were referring to God, they meant the huge statue they laser blasted one of the other hunters.

As they start figuring out a way of escape, one of the hunters in the group speaks as he gets into a running position.

Jae-Hwan: I'm not dying here! No. I just landed a contract with a major guild!

As he talks, wind begins to pick up around him as he activates his power.

Jae-Hwan: Got too much going for me to bite it in this crap hole!

Y/n's thoughts: (Is he crazy? Leaving will get us all killed)!

Y/n: If that's true, then don't move. You'll die if you do!

Jae-Hwan: I can do this! Speed's my specialty! I'll get out of here, watch me!

Jae-Hwan uses his speed to run toward the doors but before he can make, the God statue blasts him, killing him and vaporizing the man into mostly nothing.

The only thing remaining are his legs and shoes.

Everyone screams after seeing another hunter get killed.

Y/n's thoughts: (Damn it, we're officially screwed)!

Jinwoo: That thing can end us the second it feels like it.

Chiyul: Yeah, we're basically bugs waiting to be vaporized.

Y/n: (To Chiyul) Then, do you have any idea why it hasn't zapped us yet?

Chiyul: No.

Jinwoo and Y/n start to think about why the statue hasn't killed them yet. They then realize that the first commandment said "Thou shall worship God", and they must worship the statue that represents God.

Jinwoo then says:

Jinwoo: This place must have its own rules.

Y/n: And if that's the case...

The two girls stand up as Chiyul tells them not to move.

Chiyul: What the heck are you two doing?

Y/n and Jinwoo: Testing a theory.

Chiyul: Sit down, or...

Chiyul sees the determination in the eyes of the two young hunters.

Jinwoo holds Y/n's hand tightly and Y/n returns this gesture.

Chiyul: You two aren't done. I can see it in those eyes. The look of young souls that haven't given up yet.

The God statue gets ready to vaporize Jinwoo and Y/n, but the two immediately bow down as they breathe heavily.

The statue stops its attack and goes back to its normal frozen state.

Y/n turns to everyone as she explains what she and Jinwoo found out.

Y/n: We need to bow our heads towards the giant statue on the throne!

Gi-Sool: Will that actually fo something?

Sangshik: I think you kids might've snapped.

Y/n: There's no other choice here!

Sangshik shuts up as Chiyul confronts them.

Chiyul: So, your theory was right, kids?

Jinwoo: Yeah. It only attacks if you're above a certain height.

Y/n: And that means we have to bow down and "worship God" like the commandment says.

Jinwoo and Y/n bow down on all fours with their heads facing the ground.

Chiyul: This is your plan to get us out of here?

Jinwoo and Y/n: Yes. For now.

Chiyul: Guess it's worth a shot.

Most of everyone starts to bow down on all fours.

The God statue doesn't blast them, seeing that Jinwoo and Y/n's plan worked.

The statue then proceeds to make a devilish grin.

Everyone is shocked that the statue just smiled. They then stand up as they realize they're safe.

Everyone celebrates at the fact they survived.

However, Jinwoo and Y/n are unsure if that's all for now.

Suddenly, the God statue starts to rise from its throne and move towards them.

Sangshik: I thought this nightmare was over!

Chiyul turns to Jinwoo and Y/n.

Chiyul: Jinwoo, Y/n, what's next? Does your plan have a second phase?

Y/n: Not really, but if we keep following the commandments to the letter, we'll live.

Jinwoo: Meaning the next step is to praise God!

Gi-Sool: Praise the giant?

One of the hunters, Yoon Sungchul, walks up as he speaks.

Sungchul: I might have the answer. As a dedicated student of ethnology, I have a few extolments for Gods tucked away in the back of my mind.

Y/n's thoughts: ( Hopefully his ethnology skills save us all).

Sungchul gets down on his knees as he puts his hands together as he says a prayer.

The statue slows down a bit.

However, Jinwoo notices that the prayer ain't working.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (That prayer. Wait).

The statue begins to raise it's foot as Jinwoo and Y/n realize the error that's been made.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (No! It doesn't apply to this God)!

The statue sports its creepy grin again as it then crushes Sungchul beneath it's feet.

From the statue's foot, the formerly living hunter's blood spills out like a puddle of red liquid.

Beom-shik: Shit!

Sangshik: Let's move!

One of the female hunters gets crushed into a bloody paste.

Chiyul: Everyone, spread out till we come up with something.

Chiyul then runs off as Jinwoo turns to Y/n and takes her hand.

Jinwoo: Y/n, come on! Let's go.

Y/n: Joohee, follow us.

Joohee: R-Right!

The three try to get away from the statue, as far as possible.

Beom-shik thinks to himself about how his family is waiting for him.

A/n: Apparently, I confused bro's name with Gi-Sool. So yeah, there we go.

Beom-shik then reaches a nearby statue as he turns to the others.

Beom-shik: I think the safest place is up against the walls.

Sangshik: (While running) No, Beom-shik! Look behind you!

Sadly, Beom-shik is cut down in half by the knight statue behind him.

Sangshik: Beom-shik!

Meanwhile, Jinwoo, Y/n and Joohee run as fast as they can.

Jinwoo thinks to herself about the "Praise God" commandment.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Praise God. Praise God. What is there to praise about that thing? It's more demonic than divine. Whatever I do, I can't Y/n and Joohee behind. Especially Y/n, I haven't told her how I feel about her).

Jinwoo looks around, trying to find something to save her, Y/n and Joohee included from imminent death.

Jinwoo takes a look at each of the statues, noticing one of them has a trumpet, she immediately puts the pieces together.

Jinwoo then turns to Y/n.

Jinwoo: Y/n, you see the statue with the trumpet?

Y/n: I can see it, Jin. And I know the plan.

Jinwoo: Good. Relay the message to everyone else.

Y/n: (To the others) Everyone, quick! Run to the statues with the musical instruments! Hurry!

Chiyul: If you say so.

Chiyul runs over to the statue with a trumpet/blow horn.

The statue's eyes glow blue as a horn blowing sound erupts.

Chiyul: What do you know? Them kids were right again. (To everyone else) Hey, none of the statues with the instruments will attack, so hurry and find one.

Sangshik manages to find a statue with a violin that plays, signaling his safety.

Meanwhile, Y/n, Jinwoo and Joohee arrive by a statue with drums.

Jinwoo: Cone on, play your drum! Come on, please!

Y/n: Jinwoo, I don't think it's working.

Jinwoo's thoughts: ( Is it possible that the statues are one per person)?

Jinwoo turns to Joohee.

Jinwoo: Stay here. You'll be fine. Y/n, come on. We gotta go!

Y/n: Right!

The two run off to find another statue as Joohee cries out for them.

Joohee: Wait, what about the two of you?!

As Jinwoo and Y/n run to the next statue, the God statue starts to chase them.

It begins to step at them, narrowly killing the pair in the process.

Y/n: Jinwoo, we need to hurry! We can't outrun that damn thing!

Jinwoo: We'll be fine, N/n! I swear to you, I'll keep you safe. No matter the cost.

Y/n: (Panting while running) I'm scared, Jin. I've never felt this scared since my parents...

Jinwoo could feel the fear radiating from Y/n. Thanks to their tight bond, it allowed them to feel what the other felt ( in a metaphorical way I mean). So, Jinwoo could sense this experience was bringing back memories Y/n didn't want to remember.

Jinwoo holds onto Y/n tightly as she says...

Jinwoo: Remember, back when we were kids...

Flashback:

A young Y/n walks into Jinwoo's house, accompanied by Jinwoo's dad, Sung Il-wan, as Jinwoo walks up to her.

Young Jinwoo: Y/n, are you OK?

Y/n, however, just cries as Jinwoo hugs her and she tells her:

Young Jinwoo: Don't worry, Y/n. No matter what happens. From now on, I'll keep you safe.

From that day forward, Jinwoo would keep that promise, that's how much it meant to her. To protect the girl she loves.

Back to the present day...

Jinwoo: I promised you that day when you came to my house that I'd protect you and that's what I'm going to do!

Jinwoo sees the statue and realizes she won't be able to get far so she grabs Y/n's arm.

Jinwoo: Y/n, please forgive me.

Y/n: Jin, what are you doing?!

Jinwoo then tosses Y/n with all her strength to the statue with the singing angel.

However, while doing so, she gets knocked back to a statue with a knight carrying a shield who cuts her leg off.

Y/n: Jinwoo, noooooo!

Y/n starts to cry, almost believing Jinwoo to be dead.

Y/n: Jinwoo, please be alive, damn it!

Y/n then yells out her feelings, believing Jinwoo might possibly be dead and no longer living to hear them.

Y/n: Jinwoo, please, I- I love you, I've been in love with you all this time, you crazy bitch! Please, don't die on me! Please! I can't live without you!!!!

Jinwoo emerges from the fog, as she crawls as fast as she can.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Not yet. I can't die yet. I need to be)...

Jinwoo sees Y/n, waiting for her.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (I need to be with her. I promised I'd keep her safe and I'm not going back on my word)!

Jinwoo crawls with all the energy in her body till she eventually manages to reach the statue Y/n's at.

The statue then sings, signaling both hers and Y/n's safety. Somehow, by the grace of God (and a little bit of plot armor).

Jinwoo: Feel like singing some praises myself.

Y/n walks over to Jinwoo as the God statue returns to its throne.

Y/n: Jinwoo, are you OK?! Please tell me you're okay.

Jinwoo looks at Y/n's teary-eyed face. She places her hand on Y/n's left cheek and says.

Jinwoo: I am now, Y/n. Thank you.

Y/n then out of happiness and love, kisses Jinwoo on the lips.

Jinwoo is obviously surprised at first but easily melts into the kiss.

As they separate, Jinwoo looks into Y/n's E/C eyes.

And Y/n looks back into Jinwoo's blue orbs.

Y/n: Jin, I'm so sorry I did that. I thought you were dead and-

Jinwoo shuts Y/n up with another kiss, calming her down and placing her bloody forehead against Y/n's own bloody forehead.

Jinwoo: It's OK. I love you too.

A/n: I know we're going a bit too fast with the "I love you's" and all that. But then again, this is fanfic, plus they have been in love with each other since childhood, so yeah. But I'll try to make sure we go a bit slower, just a little bit.

Joohee runs over to the pair as she yells out their names.

Joohee: Jinwoo! Y/n! Are you both OK?

Jinwoo: Barely, but at least we're alive.

Y/n: Jin, your leg...

Jinwoo places Y/n on her shoulder, calming her nerves by using her scent to calm.

Jinwoo: It's OK, N/n. I'll be fine.

Joohee gets to work, healing Jinwoo's amputated leg.

Jinwoo: Enough already. I mean it. You'll wear yourself out if you keep going.

Joohee: I'm going to heal you! So just shut up and let me do it! Besides, you nearly scared your new girlfriend half to death, you'd expect me not to get mad?!

Jinwoo: Girlfriend?!

Joohee: Yeah, didn't you and Y/n kiss each other? Isn't that a confirmation you're an item now?

Jinwoo starts to blush heavily

Jinwoo couldn't deny the fact that at this point, she could say Y/n was now hers and forever at that. Well, that seems to be if they live to go out on an actual date instead of a dungeon death trap.

Joohee overexerts to the point she coughs blood and blood flows out her eyes.

Y/n: Joohee, that's enough.

The group then looks around, seeing the bloodbath of bodies lying about like a twisted art display.

Everyone then starts pointing fingers at each other, blaming one another for the casualties caused.

Jinwoo and Y/n know that blaming one another won't mean shit since the last trial us about to take place.

The God statue raises its hand as an altar appears.

Sangshik: The hell is that?

Jinwoo and Y/n: An altar.

Everyone else turns to Jinwoo and Y/n as they explain that they'll need a sacrifice to complete the last trial.

Sangshik unsheathes his sword and points the blade directly at Chiyul Song's neck.

Sangshik: Beom-shik had a family. Bragged about it all day, then I watched him get cut in half. He and six others died. If you really feel responsible for their deaths, prove it to us and God, leader.

Y/n: Don't do that.

Jinwoo: No, Mister Kim, that's...

Sangshik: Both of you stay out of this!

Chiyul: All right. Lower your sword and I'll go.

Chiyul walks over to the altar as Jinwoo and Y/n think to themselves.

Y/n's thoughts: ( Why is he doing this? It's not his fault in the first place).

Jinwoo's thoughts: (He shouldn't shoulder all the blame. We voted as a group to risk coming here).

Chiyul stands within the circle of the altar as a flame appears by him.

Chiyul asks Jinwoo and Y/n what's up, and the two figure out maybe a sacrifice may not be necessary.

Jinwoo turns to Y/n.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I don't want to seem rude but....

Y/n: Don't worry, I'll help you.

Y/n carries Jinwoo by her right shoulder and another hunter carries Jinwoo's left.

They then walk over to the altar as three flames appear.

Chiyul: Did you guys solve the last puzzle?

Y/n: Unsure.

Jinwoo: If we wait, is anyone likely to come rescue us?

Chiyul: Today marks the seventh day the gate's been open. Those statues will mobilize again before a rescue team does.

Jinwoo then realizes that gates normally take a week to last before a dungeon break occurs. That's when all the magic beasts get loose into society and tear shit up.

Jinwoo then invites Sangshik and Joohee to join her and the others.

Once they do, two more flames light up and appear.

Suddenly, lightning sparks from the altar, hitting the outer ring and creating more flames, blue ones at that.

A rumbling noise can be heard and it is shown to be the doors that led everyone here opening, inviting them to leave.

Chiyul: The doors opened.

A hunter, Ra Hyeyoung, asks if it's safe to leave now.

Hyeyoung: So can we leave now?

Jeongho: That's bait if I ever saw it.

One of the blue flames disappears into absolute nothing.

The statues with the weapons start to glow blue with blue lines.

They then activate and start walking forwards.

Chiyul: That doesn't sound good.

Sangshik: Look! The statues are closing in!

Jeongho: Do we have a plan?

Sangshik: What in their psycho God's name do they want?

Joohee: Why?

Y/n sees Joohee about to close her eyes but tells her not to.

Y/n: Joohee, don't. Don't close your eyes!

Jinwoo: They'll keep coming if you do.

Jinwoo then tells everyone to keep their eyes on the statues which they do.

Hyeyoung panics and runs away to the open doors as her flame dies out, signaling one less player in this sick game.

Chiyul: Talk to us, kids! Now what's going on?

Jeongho points out that Hyeyoung made it out alive.

Jinwoo tries to figure out how that's possible. She figures out the blue flames are timers and the normal ones are for those who are still here.

Jeongho who took Hyeyoung's place in carrying Jinwoo decides to dip and run off to the doors, pushing Jinwoo into Y/n as they both fall.

Chiyul: Jeongho, don't!

Y/n: Hey, get back here, you bastard!

Jinwoo: No!

The red flame (aka normal one) by Jeongho had dies out once he leaves.

Sangshik: Hey! Huh?

Jinwoo and Y/n: Don't you dare move! The circle will have blind spots if we lose our fifth!

Chiyul states that if they had more info, shit wouldn't be this intense.

Jinwoo holds onto Y/n's hand tightly as she speaks.

Jinwoo: We'll escape, too!

Y/n: Just gotta patient.

Sangshik then states the fact two of the weakest hunters of all mankind just saved is amazing, it still doesn't change the fact he has a family who needs him while he cries tears.

The man drops his sword as runs out and another red flame dies.

Jinwoo slams her fist onto the altar while Y/n does the same.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (You're "sorry?"(looks at the approaching statues) Not yet. We have to survive this).

Jinwoo holds Y/n's hand and squeezes it tightly.

Y/n: Jin, I'm so scared. I don't know what to do anymore.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I'll say this and I'll say it again. I'll protect you no matter what! I love you, Y/n.

Jinwoo looks into Y/n's eyes.

Jinwoo: I'll always love you, no matter what.

Y/n: I love you too, Jinwoo Sung.

Jinwoo and Y/n share what appears to be a final kiss.

Once they separate, Y/n starts to shiver a bit.

Jinwoo notices this and takes off her jacket, putting it on Y/n since her clothes are ruined.

Jinwoo and Y/n decide to stay behind to keep the doors open.

Initially, Jinwoo opted to stay on her own but Y/n wouldn't dare to leave her and she knew it.

Joohee opposes this idea but gets knocked out by Mister Song.

Chiyul carries Joohee out on his shoulder as he walks out the doors, leaving Y/n and Jinwoo alone together.

Jinwoo faces Y/n, wanting to know why she stayed behind.

Jinwoo: Y/n, why did you do it? You could've left with them and yet, you stayed here with little ol' me. Why risk your life for me, damn it?! Why?!

Y/n: I love you, you crazy bitch! What do you expect me to say?

Jinwoo is shocked to see Y/n flipping out like this.

Y/n: You're my only home, Jin. I don't have anyone else out there in the world. No grandmothers, no grandfathers, uncles, aunts, cousins, hell, my own assholes of parents died after your mom and dad took me in.

Y/n starts to cry as she sobs.

Y/n: I love you, Jinwoo. You're my home, my family, my comfort and my true love. You're everything I've ever wanted and needed. So, I can't abandon you, I'll never you.

Jinwoo holds Y/n to her chest as the statues close in ever closer.

Jinwoo and Y/n end up accepting their fates as one of the statues tries to attack. Jinwoo manages to use Kim Sangshik's sword to guard herself and Y/n but gets knocked away.

As the two are rolling about on the ground, Jinwoo and Y/n lament on how they are.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (We've always been the weakest, and we got mocked for it at every turn. But we still try as hard as we can).

Jinwoo tries to block again but fails as her right arm alongside Y/n's gets chopped off.

Jinwoo screams in pain while still trying to protect Y/n.

They both get slammed back to the altar. Then one of the statues stabs both the girls in the chest as they're lifted up and fall down on the altar.

Y/n: (Coughing blood) Jin, if this is the end, let's meet each other in the next life. Screw that, I don't want to die and not see you without me!

Jinwoo: Me too!

Jinwoo and Y/n look up at the massive blade,ready to cut their lives short.

Jinwoo and Y/n wish to be given another chance at life as the blade is about to end their lives.

The last blue flames burn out as a notification screen appears saying:

Then it tells them that they have 0.02 seconds to choose and presents a yes or no option.

Ok, so there's a gate at this construction site, a group of hunters are all chilling and shit as they see two hunters walking in.

One of them says:

Kang Jeongho: Huh? Are those two girls Jinwoo Sung and Y/n L/n?

A/n: I'm writing this from the English dub perspective.

The two hunters, Jinwoo Sung or as it's pronounced in Korean Sung Jinwoo and L/n Y/n or it's pronounced in English Y/n L/n, these two girls walking in together.

Jinwoo is wearing a blue hoodie, orange shirt, and jeans, blue jeans, I mean. While sporting short hair and blue eyes (I know someone's gonna say they're grey in the manhwa but I'm watching the anime to make this and in the anime, they are blue, plus in this fanfic, Jinwoo is female and a Futanari or G!P as some would say compared to the og male badass himself).

And Y/n, just like in the picture above, having some long black hair, white sleeve tee that brings out her chest nicely and matching jeans.

Both girls having backpacks and bandages on them from previous jobs.

At some point, a fellow hunter named Kim Sangshik calls them the weakest hunters of all mankind cause they're E-Rank.

Jin-Woo's thoughts: Too late.

Y/n's thoughts: Heard every word. Albeit, there is some truth in there we can't avoid.

As the girls mind their business, they hear someone calling their names.

???: Jinwoo! Y/n! You two got hurt again!

They look up to see their friend and fellow hunter colleague, B-Rank hunter and healer, Lee Joohee.

Y/n: Joohee!

Jinwoo:Yeah, it's true we got hurt, but we'll live. But good to see you anyway.

Joohee, looking a disappointed parent, interrogates the two.

Joohee: Why don't you two skip the small talk and explain what happened to you guys?

Jinwoo goes on to hesitatingly explain that she and Y/n got hurt on another job, like always.

Joohee warns the pair to be extra careful as Y/n goes off to get coffee.

Jinwoo notices this and asks Y/n what's up.

Jinwoo: Y/n, where you going?

Y/n: To get coffee.

Jinwoo: But we-

Joohee places her hand on Jinwoo's mouth, silencing her at once.

Joohee: Go on ahead, Y/n. We'll be waiting for you.

Y/n: Ok, but before I go.

Y/n walks up to Jinwoo, gives her a kiss on the cheek and dip, causing the dark-haired girl to blush.

After that, Jinwoo and Joohee are sitting on some metal beams as they conversate.

Joohee: I heard you and Y/n got hospital stay.

Jinwoo: Hey, silver lining, though, neither of us died, plus we were the only ones who got hurt.

Joohee: What happened?

Jinwoo: The rest of the Team was a higher rank, and the dungeon was an E, so they didn't even bother to bring a healer.

Joohee is shocked as she leans forward towards Jinwoo.

Joohee: They didn't even bring a healer? Out of all the self-centered, thoughtless things to do!

Jinwoo then calms her down as she speaks.

Jinwoo: It's OK. Not like I'm mad, besides it's not their fault we're weak. Besides, it's not so bad when I have Y/n around.

Jinwoo starts blushing as she talks about Y/n, her beloved childhood friend.

Jinwoo: You know me and Y/n have been around each other since we were babies. She's always been a source of comfort for me.

Jinwoo looks down at the ground as she continues her rambling.

Jinwoo: We've always been there for one another. I was there for her when my family took her in from her abusive parents, and she's been there for me since my mom fell to Eternal Slumber.

Throughout their lives, Jinwoo and Y/n have been each other's ride or die, since day one. That's how it's been and that's how it's gonna be.

Joohee giggles a bit as Jinwoo continues rambling about how beautiful Y/n is and how much she loves her and all that crap.

Joohee: Wow, you really love her, don't you?

Jinwoo stops herself mid-sentence and turns to Joohee.

Jinwoo: Yeah, you can say that. I... I just love her a lot and we've been together for so long. For years, in fact. And yet, I feel as if I'm not enough for her. Like, she wouldn't want someone weak as an E-Rank like me.

Joohee proceeds to bonk Jinwoo on her head.

Jinwoo: Hey, what the hell was that?

Joohee: You fool! Do you realize how much Y/n loves you as much as you do with her? Y/n has been by your side since day one, right?

Jinwoo: Y-yeah, but why did you hit me like that?

Joohee: To get it through your thick head, damn it! You two clearly like each other, so why not be together? I've seen how you guys act around each other, so there's no point in hiding it.

Jinwoo: But what if we're not meant to be. You know how this job is, there's no guarantee that any of us will make it out alive. I don't want to leave her but I don't want her to leave me.

Joohee: So, what are you waiting for, lover girl? The girl, the woman and the very princess, the queen of your dreams is standing right over there....!

Joohee points at Y/n, getting coffee and some snacks for them, smiling and looking cute while talking to a few other hunters.

Joohee: She's waiting for you to go over there, be her knight in shining armor and protect her from harm. Isn't that what you say? She's your light and you want to protect her, right?

Jinwoo: Yeah.

Joohee: Then, today, you're going to over there and tell her how you feel and demand she be yours. And you'll die trying!

A/n: Damn, wingman Joohee for the win, am I right?✋️

Jinwoo: You know what, maybe you're right. I don't know when either of us we'll die so...

Jinwoo grips her hand into a fist as she speaks.

Jinwoo: Today's the day I make Y/n my girl.

Joohee: That's the spirit.

Y/n walks up to the two and hands them their coffees and Joohee, a chocolate donut.

Joohee: Thanks, Y/n.

Y/n: No problem.

Y/n turns to Jinwoo as she gives her one as well and then pokes her two fingers together in a cute way as she blushes.

Y/n: I only got one, so can we share?

Jinwoo: Alright.

Y/n sits beside her as they share the pastry and enjoy it, talking to each other more intimately, meanwhile Joohee (the wingman/shipper) just watches with a smile, knowing that these two will be getting together soon.

And she's been doing this for a while, trying to play cupid and have these E-Ranks get together already, but it seems like her work has finally been done.

Once that's all over, everyone gathers up to meet with the dungeon raid leader, Chiyul Song/Song Chiyil.

Chiyul: The name's Chiyul Song, and unless any of you have objections, I volunteer to be the leader of our dungeon raid. Speak now or hold your peace.

Everyone stands there, soaking in their leader's every word.

Beom-shik: Nope. I'm all for it.

Sangshik: Chiyul is the most skilled out of everyone here.

Jeongho: One less worry if he's in charge.

Meanwhile, Y/n is holding onto Jinwoo's right hand as they stand side by side.

Jinwoo: I just want to say, working with you, sir, is an abandoned privilege.

Y/n: Agreed. It's an amazing experience.

Chiyul: Thanks, you two. Now, with that settled... Shall we?

The construction gates open, showing the portal, aka the magic gate.

Everyone starts walking into the gate and into the dungeon.

Sangshik: Hey, Kids.

Sangshik appears behind Jinwoo and Y/n as he places his hands on their shoulders.

Sangshik: Hang behind the rest of the pack, and don't hurt yourselves.

Jinwoo: Good idea.

Y/n: We'll try.

Joohee: Focus on succeeding, not trying.

Joohee heads into the gate as Jinwoo and Y/n check out their weapons.

Y/n's knife:

Both weapons in their sheathed.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (These weapons barely have any magic power in them. But yet, they're the only things we can afford. But it's better than nothing).

The two girls exhale deeply as they look into each other's eyes.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I just want you to know that I'll be there with you, protecting you no matter what.

Y/n: You too, Jin.

Jinwoo blushes a bit, since aside from his mother and sister, Y/n was the only person who called her that.

She shakes this off as they head into the dungeon, ready to face any foes or threats that come their way.

Sometime later, currently, in the dungeon, Jinwoo and Y/n alongside other hunters were killing some monsters and shit.

Jinwoo, knelt on the floor, as she stared at her bloody fingertips, seemingly excited.

Jinwoo: I actually got one.

Y/n walks over to her, covered in goblin blood as well.

Y/n: Jin, you good?

Jinwoo turns to Y/n and smiles.

Jinwoo: Yeah. And you?

Y/n: I'm good.

Jinwoo notices Y/n covered in blood and walks over to her.

Jinwoo: My god, you're covered in blood!

Y/n: Oh! This ain't mine, belongs to the dead goblin over there.

Y/n gestures to the dead monster behind her.

Jinwoo: But still, at least let me clean you up.

Jinwoo then takes a tissue out her pocket and wipes the blood off of Y/n's face and much of her beautiful body.

Jinwoo then stares into Y/n's eyes and Y/n stares right back.

Jinwoo: Um, let's move on.

Y/n: (Blushing a bit) Oh, you're right.

Jinwoo then thinks of how she just fumbled her chance to tell Y/n her feelings.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Damn it, I missed my shot)!

Joohee: Jinwoo, Y/n!

Jinwoo looks up and sees a goblin gunning straight for Y/n.

Jinwoo: (Gasps) Y/n, look out!

Jinwoo dashes in and like a knight in shining armor, saves her princess from a dastardly villain, or in this case, a sleazy goblin.

Jinwoo's blade clashes with the goblin's as Y/n stares in shock and amazement.

Y/n: Jinwoo!

Jinwoo: Don't worry, Y/n. I promised I'd protect and I'm gonna do that right now.

Jinwoo's blade starts to crack as she backs away.

However, she falls but gets back up and runs away to distance herself from her opponent.

Y/n: Jin, I'm coming in to help you!

Jinwoo: No, stay back! I got this.

Jinwoo continues to dodge a few more times before charging in for a fatal strike.

But then... her knife/dagger breaks upon touching the goblin.

Y/n: Jin!

The goblin drives its blade into Jinwoo's abdomen as blood splashes out.

Y/n rushes in and attempts to kill the damn creature, but the goblin catches her lacking and slashes her chest.

Y/n: Shit!

Gi-Sool charges in and manages to kill the goblin; meanwhile, Jinwoo pulls the creature's blade out of her body. Blood gushing out of her like a puddle.

Gi-Sool then orders Joohee to heal Jinwoo and Y/n while he assists the strike squad.

She then does as told as she heals the two.

As she heals them, she asks them this question:

Joohee: Now, be honest, you two, neither of you are staying as hunters just cause you're too stubborn to quit, right? It's only a matter of when not if, something much worse happens.

Joohee then points out how Jinwoo and Y/n are hurt everywhere across their bodies.

The two attempt to apologize but Joohee wants none of it.

Joohee: I don't want both of you offering me an apology on a silver platter, okay? You two worry for God's sake.

Y/n: Well, that's how things are.

Jinwoo grabs Y/n's hand, comforting her. Y/n does so as well in response.

Joohee, meanwhile, watches the exchange between the two girls.

Joohee's thoughts: ( As much as I should be mad at them. They look so cute together. Just hoping they get together or something already).

Jinwoo and Y/n notice the other hunters talking about how there's barely anything worth scavenging from this dungeon.

One of the hunters calls out to the others, informing them of another dungeon he just found.

The group discovers this other dungeon is a double dungeon. Normally, in these cases, it's best to call the Hunters Association to deal with this.

However, many in the group wish to journey into the dungeon and the others don't, out of fear of the unknown inside.

Everyone turns to Jinwoo and Y/n to end the tie breaker they're having.

Both young girls decide to head inside since whatever is inside could help pay for Jinwoo's mom's hospital bills and help Jinah stay in school.

So, just like that, everyone pushes forward into the other dungeon.

As they move through the caverns of the dungeon, one of the hunters asks how long this goes?

Myung: How long's it been since we started this trek?

Jae-Hwan: About 40 minutes.

After some more trekking, they eventually find the doors to the lair of the dungeon.

The massive doors open as the torches on the wall light up with blue flames.

Jae-Hwan: Heh. "Let there be light."

The massive room has what appears to be a bunch of statues everywhere, including one in the center wearing royal clothes.

As they walk inside, Y/n thinks to herself:

Y/n's thoughts: (As much as this place is amazing, I can't shake this dark foreboding feeling).

Jinwoo notices Y/n's distress and holds her hands lovingly.

Jinwoo: Hey, everything's gonna be OK.

Y/n: Alright.

Y/n lays her head on Jinwoo's shoulder.

Everyone sees each statue has an instrument or weapon.

Meanwhile, Jinwoo and Y/n are standing in front of the statue with the royal attire, seated on a throne.

Y/n: Look at the size of that thing.

Everyone else then gathers around as they marvel at the statue, amazed at how large it is compared to the others.

The group then gather by a hooded statue, holding a stone tablet written in ancient script.

They learn that the dungeon is known as the Cartenon Temple and has a set of commandments.

They are as follow:

1. Thou shall worship God

2. Thou shall praise God

And the last one:

3. Thou shall prove thy faith to God.

Y/n turns around and notices the statue staring at her.

She tugs at Jinwoo's jacket sleeve.

Y/n: J-Jin? Jinwoo!

Jinwoo turns around to the giant statue and Y/n tells her what she saw.

Y/n: Jin, I think it's watching us. Like, I think it's been watching us.

Jinwoo: That can't be. Y/n, you must be seeing things.

Chiyul then reads the last bit of the tablet.

Chiyul: " You will not leave alive?"

Suddenly, a crashing sound can be heard as the doors close, effectively closing everybody inside.

Everyone starts shitting bricks as they wonder what to do.

One of the hunters, Jung Donghun, bumps into one of the other hunters as he tries to open the door, the statue nearby moves and uses its weapon to slice his head off, and his blood splatters across the massive doors.

The whole group is shocked beyond belief, having seen one of their comrades' heads chopped off.

One of the female hunters starts to panic as she screams.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: ( Oh God, that thing just killed him. Donghun was a D-Rank, and yet he was slain within an instant).

The two then start to panic as they turn around and the massive statue behind them stares down at them.

What will happen to these poor souls? Will they survive, or will they die?

So back to the story, Ladies and gentlemen.

Y/n ends up acquiring the Magenta Heart which merges her Shadow Monarch powers with demon powers.

And she has leveled all the way to Level 171!

The Magenta Heart has bestowed upon her an extraordinary boost of 418,000 Mana Points, merging its power with that of the black Heart, the scarlet Heart, and the dragon Heart. As a result, she has accumulated an impressive total of over 41,157,187 Mana Points, a testament to her unparalleled strength and resourcefulness.

Y/n awakens as she gasps in shock.

Y/n: Aahhh!

She springs forward as Beru kneels before her.

Beru: I'm happy you have awakened, my queen.

Y/n: "My Queen"? Beru, you never called me that.

Beru: But I must, for you have grown in power and worthy of such a title.

Y/n notices that Beru's purple hue has been replaced with a mixture of purple and magenta.

Y/n then notices her eyes have also changed to a magenta hue as well.

She then grabs her hair, seeing it's not black like when she's in demon form. Instead, in it's current blue color.

A/n: Y/n can now toggle the black hair on and off if she pleases but I felt like having it be like this from now on.

Her horns have twisted and curled, transforming into a prominent, ram-like shape that adds a formidable presence to her silhouette. Meanwhile, her wings have expanded significantly, their bat-like structure now intricately detailed, sporting elongated fingers that extend from the membrane, enhancing their ability to grasp and manipulate her surroundings.

Y/n then notices Zatanna is about to get hit with lava but swoops in to save her by summoning her Divine Shield:

Zatanna: Y/n, you're alive!

Everyone turns to see Y/n, back up and healed.

Kid Flash: Y/n's back, you guys!

Miss Martian: And she has a new form.

Robin: She seems so cute yet different too.

Orphan: Scary even.

Y/n turns to Zatanna who's blushing like a tomato.

Y/n: Are you OK, Zatanna?

Zatanna: (Blushing) Oh well, yeah I'm fine!

Zatanna's thoughts: ( Oh my god, I think I'm falling in love with her)!

Y/n then spawns two daggers from the system: The Scorn Daggers:

Y/n: Let's go stop Red Volcano together. What do you say?

Y/n giggles happily which makes Zatanna fall for her more.

A/n: Gonna summarize this one.

The two then join in on the fight as the entire team jumps Red Volcano, mainly Y/n, her summons, Red Inferno and Red Torpedo.

During the fight, the rest of the Team manages to disable Red Volcano's giant volcano and Red Inferno and Red Torpedo sacrifice themselves in the process by shoving Volcano in lava with them.

Well, not really, cause Y/n yanked them out of there and had here shadows carry them back to the BioShip.

The Team take Tornado to Morrow's lab and then rebuild him since he took Hella damage.

They then make their way back to Mount Justice. And Y/n got on some new drip.

A/n: This is Y/n's new and official costume.

Edit: I've decided to not have this be Y/n's official costume cause of how impractical it would be on missions and shit. So, it's a one time deal.

Once they arrive, they see Zatanna's dad losing his shit.

Zatara: She's never joining that team and is grounded for life!!!

Zatanna: Dad?

Zatara: Zatanna, my daughter, you're safe.

Zatara goes to hug his daughter and then berates her afterwards.

Zatara: What do you think you were doing running off like that?!

Zatanna: I-I'm sorry, Dad. I just wanted to help.

Zatara then points his finger at the team for nearly endangering his daughter.

Zatara: My child could've been killed! What were you kids even thinking?!

Y/n walks over to Zatara and bows before him in a respectful manner.

Y/n: I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of my team for the risks we put your daughter’s life in, Sir Zatara. However, I must emphasize that with her invaluable assistance, we were able to save Red Tornado and prevent a catastrophic event. I urge you to let Zatanna join our team; we will ensure her safety and protect her no matter what.

Zatara was a little starstruck as Y/n spoke with such grace and elegance, it was bewildering.

Zatara: Alright then. Zatanna may stay but please take care of her.

Y/n: I give you my undying gratitude.

Zatara walks off to cool down from all this crazy shit as Jinwoo and Hae-in walk in, completely surprised.

Hae-in: What just happened here?

Jinwoo: Something crazy.

The two then see the team and notice Y/n, but they are different. They could sense the magic power growing and moving within her being.

Jinwoo: Wow, you kids continue to amaze me. You brought back Tornado.

Hae-in: Welcome back, Red Tornado.

Red Tornado: Thank you, Sung JinWoo and Cha Hae-in. I must be going now.

Y/n: Wait!

Everyone stops and turns to Y/n.

Y/n: I want to show you something. And I want everyone to see it.

Everyone gathers around as Y/n has the shadows lay down the bodies of Red Inferno and Red Torpedo.

Kid Flash: Wait, are those Red Inferno and Red Torpedo's bodies?

The Shadows dump more Robot and Android corpses.

Y/n: Yep, I'm bringing them back as shadow soldiers.

Kid Flash: Is this a good idea? What if it fails? Last time I checked, Shadow Extraction doesn’t work on machines.

Jinwoo: Didn't Y/n bring back those robot monkeys as shadows?

Kid Flash: Yeah.

Robin: Woah, we're all going to see a live shadow extraction.

Y/n walks up to the android corpses and says:

Y/n: Arise.

All the other androids are revived as shadow soldiers.
