I didn't think I'd post anything today as it's not really relevant to this blog but after attending this year's Anzac day memorial service I'm compelled to remind those in other countries that Australia and new Zealand where absolutely essential during ww1 and ww2.
I've never been particularly patriotic (my family doesn't celebrate Australia day). However, my heart goes out to those who fought for the freedom, justice, and peace i enjoy in Australia. I feel so fortunate that I do not have to worry about my human rights or fear for my nephews who go to school.
I don't think ill ever be able to explain my gratitude to our veterans and the're familys, but I will say this: to those lost overseas, to those who risked the're life's, and to those who came home with scars both mental and physical. You will be remembered. The youth of today and future generations will not forget your name, your braveness, or your kindness. I only hope to live up to the standards set by my ancestors and put some good into the world.
Lest we forget❤️
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them
Lest we forget
