We can change the world

You are the whole Universe; at the roots of our souls, we are all the same. Yet our bodies and life experiences make us unique expressions of one big Universe that experiences itself. You are powerful because your soul is divine energy (but don't forget that your physical body is worthy of attention and care, because it is the embodiment of that Highest Divine Energy - the universe, god, the void, however you call it).

Although our reality is literally a prison, a hologram called spacetime, our soul does not bow to its laws. That's why it's so important to feed your soul with good things - get to know yourself. Get to know the physical Universe through your human experience, and feed your soul by meditating and connecting your inner Universe with the bigger Universe (that exists out of spacetime and out of multiverses and some call "The Void").

Feed wisdom to your soul - learn about our history, about (quantum) physics, philosophy, science. Meditate and reconnect with your soul. Realize you ARE God, just like everyone else, but you're entirely unique and your life purpose is much different than any other's. Find your life purpose, then act on it and find ways to achieve it.

You're safe and protected by the universe/divine energy. Everything you wish for is already yours. Every thought you have shapes your reality, so cut off negativity!

You are already on the right path. Keep looking out for signs that lead you to your purpose - it could be angel numbers appearing right when you're talking about something specific, people having conversations about your interests... And usually, your purpose is strictly connected to what you already love, what makes your soul sparkle, what makes you feel good. And it could be ANYthing, from music, to technology, to gardening, to leading a country.

Lastly, I'd like to say that Gen Z is the generation of innovation and change.

From 1995 to 2003, Uranus (which rules innovation, rebellion, and progress) was in Aquarius: our generation is the one that can and will change everything; we are unconventional, intellectual, and we will break the old patterns.

From 1998 to 2021, Neptune (which rules dreams, imagination, and the unconscious) was in Aquarius: our generation is inspired by analysis, intellectual pursuit, and our collective dreams are much more vivid. We are more connected to our soul in a way that creates change.

And last, from 1995 to 2008, Pluto (which rules power, intensity and obsession, and control) was in Sagittarius: our generation's psyche is positive, freespirited, creative, optimistic, forward looking, independent and confident. When our generation is in power, it will be for the greater good.

We have all the cards to change the world - so let's do so.🧡🦋

sorry if you've already answered this 700 times, in which case totally feel free to ignore. but how do you lengthen your attention span? is it as simple as watching/reading progressively longer things?

First of, I am by no means an expert, but I'm happy to help as much as I can! There are a lot of great articles, books, and podcasts on the topic if you want any further info.

The most important thing to realize is why are attention spans are getting worse:

Information overload and distractions make it difficult to focus. (Ex. social media and text notification going off while you are doing other tasks)

Intentional multitasking gets your brain used to doing more than one thing at once so it becomes very difficult to make it do only one thing (Ex. having the tv on in the background while doing other tasks)

Consuming a lot of media focused on having minimal downtime and immediate gratification decreases our patience and ability to do slower tasks (Ex. watching a lot of action packed movies and short TikToks)

Getting constant small hits of dopamine from social media decreases our ability to do tasks that don't give us dopamine hits (Ex. getting likes from a post or messages from friends)

The solutions to most of these come down to two things: (1) Do only one thing at a time (2) Limit distractions from that task (3) Reduce immediate gratification

So some example of ways to do that would be:

Read a book without your phone being on hand to distract you.

Watch TV without multitasking.

Reduce time on social media, especially social media focused on short videos.

Spend a day or part of a day without technology.

Spend time with friends without looking at your phone.

Watch slow-form content like unedited lecture or panel videos where people are just speaking at their normal pace without cutting pauses.

Listen to music albums all the way through instead of shuffling and skipping.

Eat meals without multitasking (ie mindful eating)

Make yourself a cup of tea and sit on a park bench or by the window and watch some birds.

People-watch at the coffee shop.

Write long emails or letters to friends and family instead of short texts.

Call and have a conversation with a loved one without multitasking.

Meditate.

Take a walk and enjoy nature.

Don't scroll through your phone while waiting in a line.

Read long posts when you come across them on your dashboard.

Have an ebook on your phone to read whenever you would normally scroll through social media.

Don't go on your phone/online for a certain amount of time before bed.

If you are having trouble doing these things, try to do one tasks but increase the stimuli of that task. For example, read a book while listening to the audiobook at the same time. Or listen to music while watching a lyric video. These are great baby steps!

Another great baby step is (like you said in your question) doing things for progressively longer amounts of time! Set a timer for a certain number of minutes and then read without distraction for that amount of time. That way it won't feel like it is never ending and you can track your progress.

Obviously not all of these will be for everyone and some of these are too hard for people with ADHD or serious attention issues, but they are a good place to start!

I hope that helps đź’•

One of the most helpful things I've learned to do with ADHD is when I need to start a task, I don't think "I need to do this task" I think "I need to do (first step of task)".

I don't tell myself "I need to wash the dishes piling up in the sink." I tell myself "I need to get the scrub brush and turn on the facuet." That's easy, so I do it and bam, I've started the task.

"I need to brush my teeth" -> "I need to get my toothbrush wet and put toothpaste on it."

"I need to write this essay" -> "I need to pull up the assignment guidelines and open a word doc."

"I need to go to the store." -> "I need to put on my shoes."

Tasks are easily overwhelming when you constantly think about them in their entirety, so picking the most immediate part you need to so and only focusing/doing that helps to get you to start it with less anexity & stress.

1) Search for: watch TITLE OF WORK free online

I'm Begging You Guys To Start Pirating Shit From Streaming Platforms. There Are So Many Websites Where

2) Scroll to the bottom of results. Click any of the "Complaint" links

3) You will be taken to a long list of links that were removed for copyright infringement. Use the 'find' function to search for the name of the show/movie you were originally searching for. You will get something like this (specifics removed because if you love an illegal streaming site you don't post its url on social media)

I'm Begging You Guys To Start Pirating Shit From Streaming Platforms. There Are So Many Websites Where

4) each of these links is to a website where you can stream shit for free. go to the individual websites and search for your show/movie. you might have to copy-paste a few before you find exactly what you're looking, but the whole process only takes a minute. the speed/quality is usually the same as on netflix/whatever, and they even have subtitles! (make sure to use an adblocker though, these sites are funded by annoying popups)

In conclusion, if you do this often enough you will start recognizing the most dependable websites, and you can just bookmark those instead. (note: this is completely separate from torrenting, which is also a beautiful thing but requires different software and a vpn)

you can also download the media in question (look for a "download" button built into the video window, or use a browser extension such as Video DownloadHelper.)

Anyway some things to follow when youre a beginner cook:

Don't constantly shift your food around in the pan if you want to form a crust on it, the less you move it the better.

Don't be afraid to add water if youre frying up food and the food/sauce looks a bit dry.

Don't fry up your garlic early on in the cooking process (unless youre making a quick garlic oil) as the garlic flavour can straight up disappear if overcooked for too long and/or the garlic can become bitter if burnt

Don't overcook your vegetables. Look up recommended cook times for them. Your distaste for vegetables stems from them being overcooked and being poorly seasoned.

Don't microwave stuff for more than 2 minutes at a time unless you know what you're doing. Reheating stuff tends to fare better when you mix food between microwaving times since microwaves develop hotspots if you microwave it uninterrupted for too long.

Don't try cooking everything at the hottest setting. It's super tempting to have a high flame and do a meal quickly but actually follow directions and cook at medium or low heat.
