(Warning: A Court of Silver Flames spoilers)
Just finished reading A Court of Silver Flames ( I know I’m late to the game)
Not sure if anyone else noticed it but in the blood rite when Nesta and Emerie receive help from the Illyrian dude (pages 671-674) he says his name is Balthazar
Balthazar means “Baal protect the king”
Throughout the entire series Nesta is referred to as “a queen without a throne”
So his role in the book is basically to protect the queen
Anyways, I hope we see him again he seemed like a decent dude
When I first joined Acotar tumblr I followed ALL of the tags because I wanted the most content. Now my feed is a war of ships and pros and antis.
I’m here for the drama tho.
Cause Nesta was buying all those books in ACOSF
I can’t remember when/where but I think SJM said that TOG and ACOTAR are happening at the same time. But TOG ends with “in a kingdom long since burned to ash”. So does that mean ACOTAR is also in “the past”?
That makes me wonder….
- Who was the first of the inner circle to die?
- When did Nyx become high lord?
- Did he ever form his own inner circle?
- If Rhys/Feyre were the first to die then did Azriel/Cassian/Nesta/Amren/Mor all serve under Nyx as he became highlord?
Just some sad thoughts 😔
Is anyone else absolutely DYING to know how Azriel came to have Truth Teller?
Did he get it when he was younger? How long has he had it? Did he find it or was it given to him?
I NEED TO KNOW!!!
So in ACOMAF it is kind of established that although Prythian hasn’t gone through an Industrial Revolution or anything, they still have mechanical items (like Lucien’s eye).
So now I’m wondering how long it’s going to take them to figure out that rising heat (flame) can make things float (hot air ballon).
Which puts the image of the Autumn court (Eris specifically) powering solo hot air balloons around the courts
Just thinking about how when the bat boys were teenagers they were sneaking wine while Rhys’s mom was out of town and they spilled it on the couch and freaked out so hard they threw all of their magic into trying to get rid of the stain just to end up permanently preserving the wine stain on the couch
Bone carver theory part two:
When Cassian sees the bone carver we don’t get a description of what he sees, only that he is in shock by who it is.
My original bone carver theory: The bone carver takes the form of a person with a secret that you don’t know until it’s too late.
I’m wondering if the bone carver appeared to him as his mother….
In the books Rhys, Azriel, and Cassian are all the most powerful Illyrian warriors basically EVER. Both Az and Cassian require 7 siphons to channel their magic and strength.
- Rhys’s power comes from his royal bloodline
- Az’s power has something to do with his shadows
- So why is Cassian ( a supposed bastard) so freaking powerful?
I think that his mother never told him the truth about his father and his father is possibly part of a powerful bloodline of lords or royalty or something. Which is part of the reason he was so quick to dismiss Cassian’s lower class mother.
In the books the bone carver also calls him “the prince of bastards” so maybe Cassian’s bloodline makes him a prince?
Which would also be interesting cause Nesta’s mother always said she would marry a prince…
Shit talk, Acotar brain rot, theories PLEASE LISTEN TO MY THEORIES (21 yrs old)
