AYOOOO????
Tears, how can they burn like lava and consume so much when the feelings behind them are so cold and empty?
This $*** works...damb...
(I cried a lil bit)
I got Captain Marvel, I am 100% f*cked
Even of she were a good mentor, we would NOT get along
Congratulations! You are the new sidekick to a DC or Marvel superhero. Spin the wheel to determine who your mentor is. (NO RE-SPINS)
Assume you will have a similar superpower or will learn a similar skill set (for the non-powered heroes) as your mentor or one of your mentor's canon sidekicks (dealer's choice) so you aren't completely screwed.
Very true and this brings us to the cover of Bakugou reaching for kidzuku's hand.
That means, that in a very special way, Izuku IS saving Katsuki. He's this goal that Katsuki wants to reach, this person Katsuki wants to save and be saved by (to remember/return to the river moment all those years ago perhaps).
At least, that's what I think.
Thinking about the plot parallels in bnha again, this time as they relate to Izuku's goals--because he's had a specific goal for a long time, and it's not just being the number one hero. Saving is Izuku's half of heroism, after all, and yet from his perspective, it could be said that he fails in one continual regard: saving Katsuki.
It seems to start with the sludge villain. He doesn't exactly fail; he has a positive effect on the situation, at least physically, and Katsuki survives unscathed and more or less emotionally intact. From a literal standpoint, Katsuki has been saved, but Izuku isn't directly the one to save him (and is indirectly the one who put him in danger).
Then training camp happens, and Katsuki is a victim again. And Izuku is frozen there in the forest, unable to keep reaching for him. (And when he plots the rescue, he can't be the one to enact it.) Katsuki is rescued in the end, but Izuku doesn't save him before damage is done--because this time, Katsuki is physically okay, but the psychological effects make themselves known at Ground Beta.
Then there's the next time. Katsuki takes the hit for Izuku, and this time, although he survives, he sustains physical harm. It isn't as though Izuku can prevent this, but Katsuki's only there because Izuku told him about OFA, and is only putting his life in danger because of Izuku. From Izuku's perspective, he hasn't protected Katsuki.
And then there's the final battle, a bigger, more catastrophic reflection of what happened before. Except this time, Katsuki doesn't survive. And once again, Izuku hasn't saved him.
Izuku wins to save; saving is what motivates him. And although he's been victorious time and time again, he has never decisively saved Katsuki from a true threat. This is a pattern his entire life.
His entire life, because it didn't start with the sludge villain.
It started with the river. Katsuki didn't take his hand, and Izuku wasn't able to help him. It's the start of Katsuki's internal conflict with weakness and victimhood, and the start of Izuku trying to be there for him.
Katsuki has to contend with needing to be saved. Izuku has to contend with failing to save him.
What about later when Adrien realizes that Ladybug is Marinette? What do you think would happen then? What if they were dating? What if they weren't dating? Would anything change, would nothing change? WHAT IF???
Miraculous Ladybug where everything is the same but Chat Noir participated in the final fight against Monarch, he found out it was Gabriel and when Ladybug looked for Adrien to tell him that his dad was a hero he decides to go along with it but deep down he begins to feel resentment and realize that Ladybug may not be the person he thought she was.
Quick question, is it wrong of me to post my own story here cause it is darn adorable and everyone needs to see it
Denki: I can do anything I put my mind to. I once figured out Bakugou's phone number just by choosing random numbers
This, but superman wears a batman version during a meeting
You know those shirts with some fictional guy’s face all over it saying “I can fix him” ?
Clark wearing one with Bruce’s face all over it that says “I can fix him”
EXACTLY!
Tigress lived her life trying to be better, meet expectation (until her teens when she was allowed to learn her own style of Kung Fu) and even aftwerward she wanted to help Shifu, her dad, further. She wanted him to have peace with the defeat of Tai Lung.
In the scene where Po is picked as Dragon Warrior we see Tigress' reaction. She's almost disappointed at the thought of being chosen but ready to accept it. And even though she hasn't been chosen, seeing it as her failure, she is determined to defeat Tai Lung.
And she was pretty close with the Furious Five to back her up. Tai Lung was just too strong though. I mean honestly teaching someone nerve acupuncture Shifu, really?
Sorry lol, i just love Tigress.
I believe we don’t talk about this scene as much as we should.
We all remember this scene, right?
This scene takes place after Po’s training and the battle between the Furious Five and Tai Lung. It was clear who had won the battle.
Here, we see Shifu recovering the Five’s nerves after they were attacked by Tai Lung using his nerve attack (which Shifu had taught him).
This scene absolutely broke me. Because not only can you hear the disappointment in Tigress’ voice when she says, “I thought we could stop him…” but her face also indicates that she feels guilty for not being able to defeat Tai Lung, making it clear to her that she is not the Dragon Warrior. None of them were.
The title she worked hard for almost all her life. The only chance she knows that could finally give her the love and approval she’s been longing for was not meant for her…
Hi, i'm a brain, and welcome to my random thoughts! (●’◡’●)ノ
