I'm 93% sure that there's ghost that possesses me and writes chapters of my books because sometimes I go back and reread what I've written and I have absolutely no recollection of writing that part of the book.

do you think your characters would be friends with you irl? honestly, i don’t think mine would be friends with me😭

only because they’ve all been friends since kindergarten — they’re a solid friend group of eight. very found family. they all prefer sticking to their circle and secretly (jokingly) get jealous whenever one of them tries to befriend someone outside the group. (it’s called friendship cheating)

which is fine because i’d totally be too scared to even try and befriend any of them anyway😭 when your own characters are too cool for you

sometimes i lock in too hard when writing that it feels like the spirits of the characters are possessing my body.

it is a romance drama book series that follows the lives and love stories of eight childhood best friends. tropes and dynamics range from:

grumpy x sunshine, i hate everyone but you, four core female group, brother’s best friend, secret relationships, small town romance, found family, childhood best friends to lovers, it’ll always be/it’ll never be you, sapphic romance, slow burn romance, forbidden romance, one bed trope, and more!

this is my first time tackling a fictional universe and characters like this as a self-published indie author. it’s been the most fun, fictional adventurous learning experience ever<3

i’ve always loved romance and writing. i love creating characters. i love being able to give them a story, name, personality, etc. not to sound dramatic, but it’s truly the most magical experience.

i’m surprised by how much i *love* writing in third person considering how much i used to dislike reading in third person.

finding my love for writing again has made me appreciate third person writing so much more!!!

third person chapters have become like an exclusive, special pov in my series since 90% of the chapters i write are in the first person pov.

what can i say, i love playing with/switching up pov’s mid story😄 whether it’s including multiple character pov’s in one book or surprising the readers by randomly jumping into a third person pov.

Authors listen to music!

Listen to music while thinking of your characters and books and such!

Idk how many times i’ve been listening to music and think “oh this sounds like so and so” and I haven’t even started to get into their personality yet.

Same goes for characters and relationships with other characters. I just made a playlist for two of my characters that I had never even thought about being a couple at all…and one song and now i’ve got to come up with some way for them to meet and fall in love.

Side note: One is a prince/military leader and the other is a commoner. Though that may change since I haven’t even began to get into their personal lore.

Music is just too powerful to ever think about not using to enhance my writing/worldbuilding/ character designs.
