someone just said "bring me the horizon are at their best when they're just weird as fuck" and i couldn't agree more. i know some people don't like their new style, but in my opinion it slaps and i love that they're blending everything they've done before in their latest songs

i've started writing in notebooks again since it kinda helps me focus more and originally i wanted to write with a pencil so i could edit it. then i lost my eraser and even though i could easily get a new one, i refuse and continue to use my pencil. something something confining yourself to keep what you have already created or whatever

so I opened my phone this morning and found out via some random insta video that there's a new song from Linkin Park and they're gonna release a new album? With a new singer?????

being friends with other metalheads is weird af. couple weeks ago i told a friend from uni that i found a symphonic deathcore cover of vivaldi's "winter" (which is quite a sentence for itself imo) and I doubted that they (or anyone I knew, really) had heard of it. and then, without hesitation, they grab their phone, begin to scroll frantically and show me the exact song in their library.

i picked up "watch over me" by nina lacour today after having it on my desk for almost a month now because i was afraid it wouldn't make me feel as much as "we are okay" did. and oh boy was i wrong. i don't know how she does it, but she just gets the loneliness i experience so often
