You Can Find Me
all the commentary’s unnecessary
when i walk with those not at rest;
so i sit at the cemetery
when i need to clear my head.
they say death is hereditary,
so i don’t fear my final breath.
there’s peace in being secretary
for the thoughts left by the dead.
you can find me laying by mounds
beside the freshly dug up dirt.
i’ll be listening to the sounds—
witnessing silence go unstirred.
i stare longingly up at the clouds
wondering why i’m still here on Earth.
this’ the place to bury all my doubts
to pack down all my fear and hurt.

CRAYOLA JUNKIES
“You’re still addicted to the 20th century, high from its harshness, buzzed by its brutality” -Alfredo Garcia, 𝘋𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘯

On Purpose
what is a purpose anyways??
a dogma turned down for felicity’s sake?
a word to the wise paraphrased,
into which the world buys initially by mistake?
what is your purpose for really??
to use “truth” to skirt around morality?
saying youth aren’t wise to query;
to spew worthless lies then deny adamantly?
what does your purpose mean to you??
dusty words representing their world’s maker?
protection for all you’ve been through,
is it a mechanism preventing failure?
what does your purpose say about you??
does it help people understand or hound you?
a version of you that sprouts true,
does it reveal what you haven’t amounted to?
“purpose” — does it truly serve us?
does this notion do a disservice to some?
it’s a thought we shouldn’t purchase..
if purpose’s value’s worthless or “zero sum.”
