Since the frog theme I made earlier was light mode, I decided to make a dark mode skin as well. This one is galaxy-themed and in shades of purple, pink, and blue.

In the aftermath of my big post about censorship, multiple people have left comments that boil down to, "it's okay to show heavy topics in fiction as long as they're portrayed as bad."

Let's take a quick look at an excerpt from the full ext of the Hays Code, shall we?

No picture should lower the moral standards of those who see it. This is done: (a) When evil is made to appear attractive, and good is made to appear unattractive. (b) When the sympathy of the audience is thrown on the side of crime, wrong-doing, evil, sin.The same thing is true of a film that would throw sympathy against goodness, honor, innocence, purity, honesty. note: Sympathy with a person who sins, is not the same as sympathy with the sin or crime of which he is guilty. We may feel sorry for the plight of the murderer or even understand the circumstances which led him to his crime; we may not feel sympathy with the wrong which he has done. The presentation of evil is often essential for art, or fiction, or drama. This in itself is not wrong, provided: (a) That evil is not presented alluringly. Even if later on the evil is condemned or punished, it must not be allowed to appear so attractive that the emotions are drawn to desire or approve so strongly that later they forget the condemnation and remember only the apparent joy of the sin. (b) That thruout the presentation, evil and good are never confused and that evil is always recognized clearly as evil. (c) That in the end the audience feels that evil is wrong and good is right

This is the same Hays Code that supported Nazis. This is the same Hays Code that forced Jewish artists out of Hollywood. This is the same Hays Code that targeted artists of color, queer artists, female artists, any artist who deviated from the white American Catholic ideal. And it was explicitly Catholic, which I explained in further depth here.

The idea that art has to have a clear moral, which lines up with the dominant morals of white American Christianity, is foundational to the Hays Code. If you sound like the Hays Code, you need to re-evaluate.

Censorship and moral codes enforced on art are never used for anything other than oppression. The second you try to dictate what is and isn't allowable in art, you side with people who will enforce those rules on marginalized people with no mercy and no hesitation.

Censorship does not create healthy relationships with media, even the censorship you might be tempted to think of as "good censorship."

I got some stuff to talk about and it might cause some drama and some consequences that i might regret but im doing for my brother in arms @isnezzed there was a person i used to like & follow i even commission this person but i found out who she really was a self centered person who probably doesn't give a damm and takes of advantage of other people she & her boyfriend has threatened @isnezzed if he goes to the hospital to take care of his illness and cut off all contacts that Snezz has and took away his dog azor and has hurt him especially his boyfriend Chris even though he is a "Dog trainer " That some bullshit right there she sits her ass off all day and @isnezzed works really hard at his job without A CAR TO DRIVE THERE i might add while all she does is play beta games to test on bravo! I say, my ass what she has done is unforgivable and illegal i might add i tried Messagging her and get her side of the side of the story but she didn't answer only making her more guilty this person is @pugakern the same person that i thought was a kind and forgiving awesome artist she proved me wrong... If you are still reading this repost & spread this through not only tumblr but Twitter Snapchat Instagram etc. Puga injustice needs to stop i am sick and tired of keeping my mouth shut about this @pugakern if you are reading this plz message me why are you doing this and give me your side of the story if you don't your only gonna make it worse for yourself

so dark content in fiction "normalizes" crimes irl, but harassing and sending death threats to real people doesn't "normalize" harassment? between me shipping fictional siblings and you threatening to ship me with my actual sibling, between someone writing noncon and you sending them wishes of rape, which one "normalizes" doing more harm?

The Ultra-war

Since most of the community of Fran Bow/Little Misfortune doesn't even know about this major part of the lore, I've gotta try and uncover it for ya :)

The Ultra-war was a pretty big war between the realities. While the war was happening, different kinds of creatures started appearing as byproducts of the war. They were described as parasitic creatures a.k.a parasites.

Now, what I'm gonna talk about is what I think caused the war to start in the first place.

Do you remember when Fran entered Ithersta and turned into a tree because her human body was destroyed? Yeah, it's pretty hard to forget about that... But at that part of the game, so much more happens than that. Because later on when you get carried to Ziar (the tree king, you have to remember him, otherwise you're not a real fran bow fan) he tells you this: "You can't leave now, it would be too dangerous for us".

But why is it? And why now? After this, Fran gets taken by Palontras (that big fluffy flying axolotl, you HAVE to know him, really) he tells you that: "When you traveled to Ithersta, you opened a door between your reality and ours. And with this door opened, unexpected creatures can also enter our reality! ...And if that happens, the balance will be tainted!"

So basically, what he's telling us is that when Fran fell from the bridge, she entered Ithersta by opening a door between the third reality and Ithersta but after she entered the door remained open and because of that, every kind of monsters can enter Ithersta from the third reality whom will obviously cause troubles. Which we even see through out the game! As Palontras fought them and got seriously injured.

Out of Ithersta. In the 4th chapter's second part, after Fran finally arrived to her aunt's house and got Mr. Midnight to get in the window and open the door for her because her aunt was not home, she gets violently pulled into the car by Dr. Deern (Welp, that was a pretty dick move Marcel. Don't you know how to treat a little lady?!) forced to leave her kitty inside the house. After they drive away, even if only for a mere second, but you can see a bunch of Kamalas and Valokas standing next to each other way too close for comfort. That is the beginning of the war, which we had no idea that it was happening until Little Misfortune came out.

Also there was a snail character in Ithersta (who's name I do not know) who were very strongly hinting to the war.
