no offence but i think a lot of us me included don’t actually want romantic love as badly as we think and really are just lonely and crave a closeness and intimacy that feels out of reach in friendships because of society’s emphasis on marriage and the nuclear family so we project that into the never ending search for a perfect love and a soulmate when really we all just want to mean something to someone

petition to rename the usa ‘south canada’

isekai needs to start borrowing from the truly unhinged world of middle grade fantasy novels for its premises. where’s the isekai where a high school student falls into a hippo enclosure at his part time job at a zoo and is transported to another world? or the one where a bunch of middle schoolers go to a haunted house on halloween, and are kidnapped and taken to another world to be sold into slavery?

disney employees are starting a full week of walkouts leading to their big walkout on march 22nd, 2022. they’ve asked people to not use disney products during this week. (no disney+, hulu, espn, playing games, watching videos, reviewing/blogging about any of their IP, no going to the parks). this is a targeted and timed action you can concretely participate in.

they’re asking people to also support by using those hashtags and to sign their petition in solidarity.

if we want to get technical there is also the ice queendom anime spinoff which, while not fully canon, is canon compliant (as in it doesn’t technically contradict official canon material, and thus could theoretically have occurred within the canon) and that adapts volumes one and two before adding extra material between volumes two and three, slotting in alongside the beacon arc chronologically, but watchable whenever you want considering the non-canon status
