“I honestly have no clue what they see in this vile "human" who thinks himself a "god" ”
- Me while ranting in my friends gc about a certain villain which parts of the fandom refuses to see as a villain, or excuse any of his actions for shits or because he is “hot”

VILLAINOUS COMIC 16

so, this is my first post (no idea what I’m doing), but I just kinda want to vent/rant about tragic/sympathetic villains.
obviously, when looking at villains and analyzing, taking into account motivations and past traumas that lead up to their current actions is vital! It can change the message behind a story, the impact on characters within the narrative itself, etc. And there’s nothing wrong with liking a villain (regardless of redeemable qualities) and finding aspects sympathetic!
that being said, I just get so frustrated sometimes when all I see about a villain is their tragic backstory. What about the implications and consequences? The aftermath? I know people who like these characters usually don’t actually ignore/excuse the terrible things they do, but still.
might get some hate (if anyone sees this, which is doubtful), but this is somewhat specifically about Sephiroth and Shen Jiu, though there are others
Apropos of that textdump on villains I had last week, here’s some neat analysis of demented the clown Dimentio.
ϡ Dimentio?
OH BOY NOW FOR THE FUN PART
I could go on for days about Dimentio, so I’ll try to keep it short (YES THIS IS SHORT FOR ME) and game-specific. More than mental state, I guess, these are the behavior rules I try to stick to for him, and why I think he does the things he does.
Dimentio is not a fighter.

part 1 here
The morning light peeks in through the slightly ajar curtains, the rays making Adrian's blond hair look almost golden. Ash just woke up, then trudged half asleep to the kitchen for a glass of water when the sight made them stop in their tracks.
"Good morning!" , Alex announces, coming out of their room sporting a big yawn and the moment just breaks. Ash is just... standing there, in the middle of the hallway, doing practically nothing, staring at Adrian's sleeping figure which only just now twitches a little because of the sound. How were they supposed to explain this?
Ash decides to start with a "Good morning", taking quicker steps to the kitchen and hoping that Alex did not notice the tiny stutter in their voice.
"So, did Adrian finally complete their work?" Alex asks, aggressively poking the sleeping figure on the chair. Ash winces at the sight- that's definitely not the way to wake someone up.
Ash clears their throat with a low hum, "Not really, but they only have one more page left to complete. I was thinking about waking them up in another fifteen minutes-
"WHAT?! THEY STILL HAVE A PAGE LEFT!" Alex screeches, successfully waking up Adrian who jolts awake in their chair, staring at nowhere in particular, a hand coming up to rub their eyes. Ash just sips their water, staring at the scene taking place in the living room from the kitchen. Alex sure was lively in the morning, a little too lively for their personal taste. Adrian didn't seem to mind though, as they patiently answered to any of the questions that Alex had regarding their work. I guess this is a way of caring too, Ash thinks. I wouldn't know, since no one cared for me like that.
Adrian's eyes flicker to theirs for a moment during the conversation, and their face breaks into this bright grin and Ash feels like they're seeing the morning sun all over again. They're too bright, but I can't look away. No... I don’t want to.
"Hey Ash, good morning!"
Ash chokes on their water a little but somehow manages to utter a coherent "Good morning" in return. They make a mental note that Adrian’s morning voice has super high destructive powers - those husky undertones to that already attractive voice didn’t help calm their erratic heartbeats at all.
"What, since when did you both become such good friends?!" Alex asks, sounding almost jealous.
Alex’s voice is nice too, a little high, but calming all the same, Ash notices.
"Since last night. " Adrian replies, winking suggestively, earning a punch to their shoulder.
"Ow!"
Ash swears that they tried, tried to keep in the laughter that threatened to tear out of their throat, but they knew that they failed miserably when the first syllable of a chuckle tumbled out of their lips. That chuckle multiplied and soon they're full blown laughing, hand clutching at their stomach.
Adrian and Alex stop their playful banter, all attention trained on their new friend who seemed to be having a good time.
Laughter is a contagious thing, and soon enough, the three of them start cackling, and it's a start to a pleasant morning.
Well, at least until Adrian remembers that they still had their essay to complete.
"Oh shit-
-
Adrian put each of their arm around Ash and Alex, in an attempt to give them a group hug. Alex seemed like they didn't mind for a whole minute, and then they pull away, spouting something along the lines of, "Don't think you can pay me back with just a hug Adrian, this is not going to happen every time-
But Adrian and even Ash, who had just properly met the two of them yesterday can literally see the same situation happening again, like deja vu, but in reverse.
"Well, do you also expect anything else other than a hug from me?" Adrian asks Ash with a cheeky smile, who has been silent for the most part. They could understand that Ash was a person of few words, unlike their noisy roommate.
Ash chuckles, "It would be great if I could hang out with you both more often, if that's okay with you both of course."
A chorus "Of course you can!" is the next thing that Ash hears, making their spine tingle pleasantly.
"You both are so loud, you know that?" Ash says, faking annoyance.
"Well, that's kind of our specialty." Alex grins.
"More like your specialty Alex." Adrian teases.
"Okay, you're going to pay for that Adrian!"
Ash just snorts, watching their first friends ever bicker happily.
Maybe if I'm with you both, I can forget that I'm a villain. Just for a little while.
-
It's been a jolly few months after that, both hero and villain not having much on their plate. But that instead only succeeded in causing immense worry for both the sides (from the villains side, probably only Ash was worried), because not having much to do could only mean one thing-
The villains were planning something big.
Adrian wished that this was like the other jobs, where getting less work was actually a good thing. They find themselves growing restless, looking down at their sweaty palms, even though the night breeze is pretty chilly.
"Adrian, thanks for waiting! Let's go home."
Adrian had come to the grocery store to accompany Alex on a small errand. They said that they were going to buy ingredients for dinner and Adrian thought that it was only right for them to come along, since Alex was cooking for them and Ash. Ash had said that they would drop by later.
It was pretty late in the night, but they weren't worried for themselves, they were the hero, they could manage if anything were to happen. They were however, concerned for Alex's safety. They were a normal civilian and thus had no idea of their other hero persona, about the world of violence and bloodshed that hero was a part of. And they wanted it to stay that way.
Heroes and villains always wore a mask to protect their identities, so there was close to no way for their enemies to find out about their real identity.
At least, that was what Adrian had believed, up until then.
But before Adrian can understand what’s happening, they feel something hard connect to the back of their head, making their vision swim.
No... no... stay awake!
Alex screams their name out, and Adrian suddenly feels so helpless.
Why is all this happening?! Why are they hurting Alex? They have nothing to do with this!
Adrian's ears ring painfully and they just want all of this to stop. They want to stop hurting.
"Stop it... please!"
The last thing they see before everything goes black is a knife pressed to Alex's neck.
Here's the second part / *slides some drama in here* / a little more drama in the next part / ash is still waiting for dinner and they have no clue, the poor thing / adrian knew that grocery store trips were tiring for a reason, but boy were they not expecting this / alex is in for a ride
"Soooo~" , the villain drawled on for longer than necessary, "what does love mean to you?"
The hero groaned, hands on their head, hiding their face away in their palms. They really didn't want to engage in a conversation that was of no use to the critical mission which they were about to take on. (Yes, they had formed a truce with the villain, for the time being.)
But apparently the villlain was eager to continue the conversion, nudging the hero gently with their elbow a few times to make them look up at them with fake annoyance. The hero didn't want to admit it, but they really wanted to talk to the villain like this more, talk about silly things, like they didn't have to wake up the next morning and undertake a mission which they didn't know if they would come back alive from or not.
They sighed, " I don't really know, haven't thought of it much."
It's a lie, forgive me.
The villain accepted the answer, it wasn't really that weird considering both professions really didn't give them the time to think about things like love (which was just a silly dream, according to the villain.)
But as silly as it may be, the villain wanted to pursue more of it (and for once in their life, they had no regrets) with the hero.
The mission was over shortly, taken care of swiftly by the combined team work of the hero-villain combi.
"See you tomorrow?", the villain asked, eyes sprakling, as if they were two friends making a promise to meet after school.
The hero could only smile and prayed that the villain didn't notice it was fake, "Sure."
The villain turned around and walked away brisky and the hero just stood there, staring at their retreating back until they couldn't see them anymore.
You look so happy and that's why I can't tell you, that for me, love simply means one word-
You.
I tried angst this time/heroes are so bad at asking for help/I can relate though/poor villain doesn't know about the impending heartbreak/I feel bad for them.
Scenario: The Hero and Villain have been dating for a few months but suddenly the Villain starts being more distant, and it drives the Hero crazy with worry and self-doubt.
The Hero pulls out their phone and opens the Villain's chat-
H: Hey
H: Are you even alive?
H: It's been a week since I last heard from you
H: Are you mad at me? Was it something I did?
H: Please tell me
H: One minute you want to talk and the next minute you don't
H: What is it that you want from me?
H: Talk to me because I just don't understand.
Please.

When the Hero regained consciousness, they were very surprised for a couple of reasons. One- they weren't supposed to open their eyes again, they were supposed to be dead, and the cause of death would be 'choked by the Villain's sturdy hands'; two- their treacherous heart just wouldn't shut up, way too excited at the possibility that maybe, just maybe, this villain wasn't really as bad as they portrayed themselves to be (and would somehow magically turn into one of the villain personalities whom the Hero swooned over almost everyday on their smartphone) and three- they were currently tied up in some abandoned warehouse and the rough ropes were hurting their wrist.
It seemed like they had made enough noise waking up, because a shadow was walking towards them from the corner of the building. The Hero gulped- this is bad, I really can't protect myself right now because my hands are literally tied. The Hero's anxiety was at alarmingly high levels as they tried to internally calm themselves down (which didn't work). The shadow went over and flicked on the light switch, momentarily blinding the Hero.
Like a puppet cut off from its strings, the Hero slumped down in utter relief, voice a breathy sigh as they spoke, "It's only you huh, thank goodness, I was afraid it might be someone else who wanted to hurt me." They saw the Villain looking at them like they were a creature from another planet, standing comfortably by the wall.
The Villain sure as hell had good reason for their facial expressions and actions, their mind currently running a marathon- why did the Hero look so relieved after seeing that it was me, when they were clearly terrified just a moment ago? I mean, I'm the Villain... how can they be so sure that I wouldn't harm them? Their mind immediately pulled up the mental image of how all the tension in the Hero's shoulder just left once they knew that it was them standing in the corner, and how relieved their voice sounded. It was seriously very disturbing and the Villain couldn't understand why.
The Villain walked closer to the Hero who was currently struggling to get out of those ropes, "How did you know that I wouldn't hurt you? ", the Villain questioned, voice dark, " don't give me this bullshit of 'I trusted you' -
"But I did, and I do." The Hero had stopped wiggling in their chair and focused all of their attention on the Villain who looked like he was kicked in the gut. "Huh?", was all the distressed villain could manage, eyes fixed on the enigmatic Hero. The Hero simply chuckled- a soft sound that did weird things to the Villain's chest, " I mean no offense Villain, but you could have seriously killed me, with your fingers around my neck and all-"
The Hero didn't even see the Villain move, and before they knew it, their mouth was clamped shut by the Villain's hand, amber eyes looking into theirs desperately, "Just don't talk." , the villain said curtly- because it's driving me mad, you're driving me mad.
"O-okay?" The Hero said unsure of themselves, focusing their attention back into getting themselves out of those ropes. The Villain was just going to go and mull in the corner, and have an inner monologue with themselves before a loud groan- which soon turned into a pained whine, came from the direction of the Hero. They Villain whisked their head back so quickly, and surprised themselves because of how much they cared. They sprang over to where they tied the Hero, eyes meticulously going over the binds- I know I didn't tie it that tightly...
"What's wrong?" , the Villain asked, letting just a little emotion seep into their voice. The Hero looked up at them and it was only then that the Villain noticed how tired they were- those eyes that had always shined like a starry sky were now a dull blue, dark circles lining those eyes like they were a permanent inhabitant of their handsome/beautiful face. Though according to the Villain, they had no place there.
"Is there something on my face?" ,the Hero asked, twisting and turning a little. Bad move, they thought, as a loud gasp tore out of their throat and they doubled over in pain. The Villain was there in a jiffy, holding them up gently. They even let them lean on their body for support and the Hero couldn't help but smile despite the pain.
"What's wrong?!" The Villain asked once again, eyes searching every visible nook and corner of the Hero's body for any sign of injuries.
"I-It hurts.", they gasped, leaning in closer to the Villain.
The Villain got rid of the restraints themselves, carried the Hero bridal style and placed them on the floor to get a better look at them, all the while the Villain's mind was at crossroads- why am I doing this? vs I don't want to see them hurt playing on a loop inside their head. With every jostle the Hero flinched and the Villain's chest clenched with guilt?- something that they hadn't allowed themselves to feel in ages.
"Where does it hurt?" The Villain's voice came out gentle, and they surprised themselves once again.
They looked down to see the Hero grinning at them, eyss once again becoming a starry sky. Despite going through every possibility in their head as to how the Hero would react when they woke up again, grinning and soft eyes was definitely not on the Villain's list of possibilities- It made them weak.
"Here and here." The Hero pointed with their index finger to the general area around their ribs and below. No external injury could be seen, which meant that it was damaged internally- that's bad. The Villain went through the first aid procedures in their head.
The Hero smiled at them, "You don't have to look so worried Villain, I'll be fine. You've done enough, so I'll just go and get myself admitted at a hospital. " The Hero attempted to stand up, only to curl in on themselves again.
The Villain was angry, because it seemed like this stupid Hero was only desperate to hurt themselves more. And it made them even more furious to admit that they let something like "the Hero's wellbeing" get to them.
"Just sit here and don't move, I'm going to get the first aid supplies." The Villain made sure to glare extra hard at the greenie Hero so that they wouldn't get any other foolish ideas. They watched the Hero nod happily, as they made their way over to the other side of the room, looking for said supplies.
"So this is really where you live huh- and they went into a furious coughing fit. The Villain rushed back, cursing the Hero in their mind for not even giving them a few moments of peace, hand rubbing soothing circles onto their back. In the back of their mind though, the Villain was relieved at the fact that the Hero at least had a brain in there. They watched as the Hero gasped and spluttered, struggling to breathe. They definitely broke a few ribs during the fight, the Villain's mind fed worryingly from the Hero's reaction. Their hands instantly started working on the first aid measures, patching the Hero up the best they could.
"Don't talk, don't move, stay still." The Villain's voice may have sounded deep and cold but the Hero could feel the warmth in each of those words. They were slowly starting to feel tired, eyelids closing involuntarily once again.
The Villain stared at their nemesis, a look of fear stretching across their face, "Oi, don't close your eyes! Hero! Listen to me!"
-
The Hero woke up once again, this time to beeping sounds and bleary white walls. A hospital. They only turned their head, suddenly aware of the pain below their chest and their eyes landed on a slumped figure, on a chair by their bedside. Villain... had they admitted them to the hospital? How did I even get here? Don't tell me that they carried me all the way here?!
The Hero's face heated up at the thought, and they wiggled their hands in front of their face, swatting the thought away as if it were a fly. They sighed, feeling much better than they remembered feeling before they blacked out. Their eyes shifted to their phone which gave a soft glow in the dark.
One new message.
Villain: Your phone really doesn't have any useful information at all, you greenie Hero.
The Hero chuckled at the apparent annoyance that the Villain might have felt upon the discovery. It was the truth, they really weren't allowed to know as much as their higher ups did.
Villain: Open your notes.
The Hero became alarmed, their fingers flying to the notes app. The notes was like their personal diary and they never let anyone read through them. They were pissed, eyes glaring at the sleeping villain as they opened the most recently edited note-
The story I read today was so good, I hope I get to meet a villain like that in my life!
Well you met one today, what did you think? Tell me after you wake up- Villain.
And the story was nothing special, I read it. I'm sure we could do so much better than that- Villain.
If the Hero's cheeks weren't flaming then, they sure were now. They weren't even mad anymore, just giddy, smiling like an idiot at the sleeping Villain.
"You were amazing, Villain."
The Hero opened up the Villain's chat-
H: How am I supposed to tell you if you're still asleep dummy. Wake up!!!
H: And next time, don't just snoop around my phone while I'm asleep. Just ask me and I'll give it to you.
okay this ended up being way more cheesy than it was in my head lol/ villain gets influenced by hopeless romantic hero/ it's the beginning of their own fanfic inspired heroxvillain relationship/hero is extremely satisfied-hope you all liked it.
Where the Hero is a greenie and meets with the famous Villain around town through a flurry of fists and curses. They have a rosy outlook on everything and it drives the Villain nuts.
"Heroes are such needy things," the Villain sneered, their dagger a breath away from the Hero's trembling throat.
"G-get away from me!" , the Hero attempted to push the Villain away, but they just couldn't muster the strength in their limbs anymore- their fight had stretched for far too long and the Hero has been running on a mere three hours of sleep for the entire week.
" Really such needy, needy things..." the Villain continued their taunts- taunts which the Hero would have blatantly ignored if they were in a better state of mind- but that they weren't.
The Hero shivered under the Villain's intense gaze, torn by the curiosity to know what they had meant and their moral compass which told them to steer clear from any words that fell out of a Villain's mouth. So the Hero decided to do something that didn't require too much energy- they had seen this happen in movies before (and they hoped desperately, that it applied to this situation)- they stared into the Villain's amber eyes.
The Villain stopped their taunting for a moment, meeting the Hero's stern gaze. "What's wrong? Is my favourite Hero tongue-tied?"
This voice laced with sarcasm, the Hero didn't want to believe that anything it said was true, but he really wanted to know- were heroes really needy creatures? If so, what exactly made them needy?
The Hero realised that they weren't supposed to go into an inner epiphany with a dagger pressed to their throat, but they were just unbelievably curious.
Curiosity kills the cat- they guessed that curiosity could kill heroes too.
Sucking in a sharp breath and relishing the feeling of oxygen, well aware that this might be the last breath of air that they could taste, the Hero made their decision-
"Explain what that means Villain."
The Villain smirked so wide, the Hero thought that their cheeks would split. "Quite the curious Hero aren't you?" , they said, abandoning their dagger, sheathing the metal object back into it's scabbard.
The Hero was perplexed, "what are you- AAGH!", they gasped as the Villain's long fingers wound around their throat, promptly cutting off their air supply . The Villain leaned in closer, just enough to hear the angry rasps that fell out of the Hero's abused throat, their eyes glaring down darkly at them.
"If you thought that I would give you the answer just because you asked me to, you have a long way to go greenie."
Black spots marred the Hero's vision and they could feel their eyelids become heavier by the second. But even on the edge of losing consciousness, the Hero couldn't help but think that the Villain's fingers were gentle in their own way- they weren't crushing their windpipe mercilessly in one go, but instead pressing down on it gently, slowly, like someone who preferred suffocating someone with a pillow rather than stabbing them with a dagger.
Or maybe I'm just finally losing my mind- the Hero thought, and reading way too many hero/villain fanfics.
The last ember of strength finally died and the Hero closed their eyes.
this was meant to be a prompt, but ended up turning into a snippet/i have no regrets/the hero is a hopeless romantic/villain has no clue what's happening in that little head of his nemesis/ part 2 will be up soon!
It was the Hero's day off in since forever and he planned to enjoy it in peace- just him and music within the safety of his cozy apartment.
Soon enough, the Hero began humming and dancing, trying out a few shy steps to the song that was blasting through his speaker- Perfect by One D.
With occasional sips from the wine glass he held in his hand, he was twirling around in peace-
"Ooh, those are some nice moves you've got there Hero."
The Hero made an unmanly squeak, his reflexes working faster than his brain could. When he opened his eyes, he saw the Villain standing on his balcony, clothes drenched with his red wine. He didn't look pissed though, an amused smile dancing on his lips.
So much for peace.
The Hero let out an exasperating sigh, "Can't you enter through the front door, like a normal person?"
The Villain quirked his head sideways, as if thinking, "But I'm not a normal person."
The Hero pinched the bridge of his nose, already feeling himself becoming sober, " Come on in, I need to drink more."
"Is that your way of asking me to drink with you? Your social skills suck-
The Villain dodged a poorly aimed pillow thrown at him, stepping into the Hero's apartment, smirk never leaving his features.
Tonight was going to be fun.

As the hero made their way into the jail, they could immediately tell all the guards were tense and on edge. They, however, were excited, because today was the day the villain was getting released!
They scanned their pass and made their way in, nodding to the different guards. Soon enough, they opened the door into the villain’s special cell area.
“Good morning!” The hero called happily as they entered, seeing the villain packing their things into a cardboard box.
“Morning,” The villain replied, not glancing up as they put the final item in and closed the box.
“Are you ready to go? The guards said they had been waiting on me,” The hero said, failing to hide the excitement in their voice.
The villain looked up at them, a small smirk creeping on their face as their eyes gleamed for a second, “Someones, excited…” They mused as they stood up.
“Well, obviously! You get out today! Aren’t you excited?!"
The villain gave them a lopsided look, tilting their head, "I’m not sure excited is the correct word, but sure. I’ve a sneaking suspicion you’re more excited to see me get out of here, though, considering you’re standing next to the forcefield switch, yet haven’t touched it,”
The hero sputtered, blushing. “No! That’s not-, well,"
The villain just raised an eyebrow, the corner of their lips curling in cool amusement.
"I’m… interested,” the hero defended, crossing their arms with a huff.
The villain snorted a laugh at that, rolling their eyes fondly, “Very well, stand back,"
The hero did as they were told, taking a step back. They watched the villain intently as the other simply looked around at the bars in front of them.
"S'almost a pitty to destroy a place a called home for so long, but alas,” suddenly the villains lit up, shining and almost glowing un-naturally brightly, “All good things must come to an end,"
With that, they gave one quick, small, swift flick of their wrist, and the ear-piercing sound of metal bending, snapping and breaking echoed off the walls. The hero’s hands flew up to cover their ears as the metallic explosion sound erupted forth. The hero saw the bars of the jail twisting and cracking angrily as the villain watched, completely relaxed, an almost smile ghosting their lips.
They seemed to get bored of torturing the bars quickly, though, and snapped their fingers.
At least, that’s what the hero assumed they did, based on what they saw, but the sound of the snap was drowned out, quickly followed by the visual as the bars exploded. Chunks and shards of metal were thrown everywhere, being thrown back by the forcefield.
The hero yelped, unsure how the villain could be anything but ribbons inside the tornado of metal shrapnel. But soon, the dust faded, and the villain remained, standing in the same spot, completely unaffected or even phased.
The only thing that remained of the metal bars were the occasional jagged spike where they had connected to the roof or ceiling.
"Holy crap,” the hero muttered.
“Now,” the villain continued conversationally as the stepped over what was left of the bars and up the green forcefield, “the easiest way to deal with this, would be to do this,"
They extended their hand toward the switch on the wall, and made an upwards flicking motion. The hero watched as the switch flicked, and the forcefield shut off.
"However, that wouldn’t be nearly as fun as doing this,"
They turned it back on and stepped forward, hovering their flat palm millimetres away from the forcefield, closing their eyes. For a second, nothing happened, until suddenly, the forcefield began shaking. Then, like a bomb going off, a surge of electricity erupted from the villain’s hand and collided with the forcefield, and an explosion went off in the other room. They had blown the generator.
"What… the…” the hero muttered, completely stunned as they looked around the room.
The villain turned around and went to pick up their box, before making their way over to the hero, holding it in their arms. Their face wore a very self-satisfied smirk, assumedly from the look on the hero’s face as they approached.
“It was also very stupid to put me on the ground floor,” the villain mused as they stood next to the hero, turning towards the outer wall.
“Why?"
"Considering this,"
They gestured at the wall, and just like that, a huge circle of concrete and steel wall tore out, getting thrown forward until it crashed down, skidding across the grass in front of the prison and nearly taking a guard out in the process.
"Are you coming?” The villain teased. The hero shook their head, realizing they had been frozen, just staring while the villain had walked all the way out onto the grass. They ran to catch up to them.
“What- I- HOLY CRAP!” they yelped, throwing their hands into the air, “What the hell was all that!? How did nobody know!?! What-” they shook their head, trying to clear their thoughts, “I still don’t understand, what is your power? There’s no way that’s just plain telekinesis!"
The villain chuckled, "Not quite, but, what fun would it be if I just tell you?” they asked as they came to a stop next to the road, turning to face the hero, “Wouldn’t it be much more fun for you to try and figure it out?"
"What!?” The hero erupted, “You’re not gunna tell me!?"
The villain let out a startled, amused and almost happy laugh. The hero looked so disappointed and almost betrayed.
"I’ll give you a hint,” the villain said, a sly, amused smirk on their face, “I don’t just have one power; I have two. And they are a very deadly combination,"
Just then, a black limo pulled up beside them, and the trunk popped open. The villain made their way around, putting the box into the trunk as the hero stood frozen, brain struggling to catch up.
"Here,” the villain said as they walked back over to the hero, handing them a folded up page from their sketchbook.
“What’s this?"
"My number doofus,” the villain replied in a joking, yet fond tone, “I did promise we could stay in contact.
"Oh, right, of course!” the hero replied, taking the paper in their hand as the villain opened the limo door.
“See you later,” the villain said before slipping into the vehicle. The hero could only wave as the limo drove off, still processing everything that just happened.
They opened the paper in their hand, and nearly dropped it in surprise. There, on the page, was a phone number, just like the villain had said. They never mentioned the perfect drawing of the hero when they were playing battleship right above it!
The hero felt themselves blush as they pulled out their phone, adding the contact ‘Villain <3’ to it. When they got home, they put the drawing up on their fridge.
THE BAD GUYZ These are my bad guy picks for the villains to my previous hypothetical superhero cartoon crossover. There'd be so much underlying beef with these four I swear
