Hyperfixation induced lazer focus pulled me through the second book in one sitting and I was managing just fine processing all the new information being thrown around, but absolutely nothing prepared me for the force of being launched back into real life by reading "Hi, Not Fucking Dead, I'm Dad."

I finished Nona the ninth, and just like harrow the ninth I was very befuddled the entire time. I do have to admit I have fallen deeper in love with the characters, or at least the ones that have been confirmed to be them in the previous two books. Honestly this shit is so confusing idk who anyone is, but regardless I LOVE it. Did not expect the Ace Attorney reference, I think I screamed and sobbed but I don’t remember lol

Where is Alecto the Ninth??? I finished Nona the ninth, in tears naturally, fully expecting to jump to the next book only to discover that it wasn’t out yet. My balls (I’m a chick) were cut, my lunch=gone, my heart=paradox of full and empty.

So after that I’ve been wandering around my house and starring at walls like I got a lobotomy (lol)

I admit I took a lil break on Gideon the Ninth but in my defense I had school. But as per the usual during exams I have to do anything BUT actually study and write my essays.

I finished the book in like a week. The ending girl… mind BLOWN right open. On the floor screaming crying throwing up.

Obviously I couldn’t stop there, no no no, so I instantly get the next book THAT day and in 24 hours I finished the second book. I think I might just drop out of college at this rate. Harrow the Ninth??? Gagged. Felt like I was drowning in my own tears cause girl wtf was that. The ending??? Gone

Guys I need to stop having ideas that I don't have the time or artistic skills for. I'm sitting at work thinking about how cool (and undoubtedly heartbreaking) it would be if there was a tlt animatic to Vulture by Bear Ghost and I'm like 5 seconds from going insane because of it.

Like this song has made me a little feral since it came out last year (I think. Time is an illusion) but I just listened to it for the first time in a few weeks and oh my god. I might come back to this post later and write an essay about it because the locked tomb has consumed my life even more so than it did when I was actually reading the series.

Do you think Gideon was laying in bed later that night thinking "what the hell did she say? Was it some obscure ninth saying I never bothered to learn? What the fuck?"

Do you think the other houses were there thinking "what did that strange little nun say? Was it a spell? A curse? Am I cursed now?" Or did some of them think "pfft, why did she say that? Was it a lame attempt at sounding cooler than all of us?"

I dunno, I finally have time to work on some TLT tattoo designs and this has been on my mind the whole time.

"Death first to vultures and scavengers" is such a hard line I wish that there were scenarios where I could use it in my day to day life without eventually having to explain that the quote was said by a scrawny teenaged(?) nun in response to what is essentially a dick measuring contest run by a bunch of idiots who have no business being unsupervised for that long anyways.

Me, personally, I think they'd have a sort of begrudging, quiet bond called "I'm surrounded by people who are trying to befriend me and am deeply horrified by that thought"

Not gonna lie at first glance I thought this was really strange Griddlehark art. But honestly? There are some parallels to be drawn between destiel and griddlehark starting with the whole "one has magic powers and the other is a dumb jockish type" and "neither one thinks that the other cares about them"

I think a lot of the strange sounding cavalier names come from numeral prefixes which come from Sanskrit instead of Latin or Greek like most English speakers would be used to. For example:

dvi- is the prefix for two, probably where Dve comes from

catur- is four, and becomes Chatur

asta- is eight, and becomes Asht

nava- is nine, and becomes Nav

Nigella is still confusing, because her name still means sixteen instead of aligning with one of the houses. Maybe she was the 16th and final member to join the original Lyctors/cavaliers or something? I don’t know if there’s an official cannon order on how they joined, but that’s the only significant use of the number 16 I can think of.

i have a question about jon's naming convention of people. like. whole numerical thing is another thing i have thoughts about but. how many languages he knew?

bcs pyrrha surname "dve" feels like it came straight outta slavic mouth. two - russian "dva" - dve.

nigella surname is shodash, hindi word for 16. not even six. sixteen.

why do these two stick out? other cavs surnames have latin roots as far as i know. is it miss tamsyn ideas overruling the question 'how the would he know these words if every dictionary is burnt with apocalypse?' is it intentional?

My medicated ass.had an idea this moring....for the 7th,

I was always going to do a big drape lacy flowery daisy chain neckas for the 7th, but I just realized that instead of a simple.drape pattern I could use chain to make lungs

Here is my breif concept drawing....

The large rings in the drawing are the large hammered silver(plated) rings. The black lines forming the lungs will be out of the silver and green modified daisy chain.

The dotted lines will be out of fine silver chain. I'll have to purchase that

Here is the rough draft for the back and sides all out of silver chain. I don't think I will be able to get the efect of inflated lungs unless I create a secondary anchor chain around the back like a harness.

So now I need to plot out the mesuments for the lungs.....

These lovely pictures give me an approximate location and a size ratio I can measure on myself.

I may have to lie down on the floor and have my sister use a heavy cord to map put the shape....or better yet I could do that on her.

The other option is to use all those years of math to map out the archs I want on the images I found, to get actual measurements
