Channy this is so good. I love your coloring style !!!
Himiko didn't have to make this picture so hard I couldn't draw her, her clothes, or color correctly and now I'm mad at her. >:(
Just out of curiosity, what is your opinion on Oumeno (Kokichi X Himiko)? P.S. I love your art, especially your amazing Shinnaga art.
Not entirely sure how much I can see it romantically but I do think it’s a fun dynamic regardless!! + I’m not a fan of Kokichi in general and I have ppl I ship those two with MUCH more but Oumeno is super cute anyway TEEHEE
listen... maybe this is rigged, you can look at my blog for less than a second to deduce that i am extremely biased to THIS dynamic anyway:

Kaito: My bad, I guess I kinda started on the wrong foot!
Maki: Kaito!
Kaito: Yikes! Maki, you look like you’re about to have an asteroke!
Maki: Was that supposed to be a pun on the word stroke?
Kaito: Heh, sorry, seems that one went milky way over your head!
Maki: Kaito, please, I’m trying to be mature about this.
Kaito: And you think I could be mature? That’s pretty plutocrous

Maki Week, day 1 - Chapter 2 // Chapter 5
Chapter 5 was one hell of a chapter but boy do I love the drama
@harukawa-week
Since I feel bad about the Nagito and Kokichi frenimies fic being so short, I’ll post a piece that I wrote from an old rp with a friend.
Basically it is a lot of the characters from all games (including Ultra Despair Girls) and in this piece they are being transported from one school to somewhere else. Coincidentally, Nagito and Kokichi did NOT get along at all in the RP but they both helped the MC/Reader figure things out for the trials.
Please beware that this fic mentions Blood, Scars and Kidnapping, along with the other possibly triggering topics from Danganronpa.
I hope you enjoy :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up to see the inside of a small bus. Nagito was leaning against the window in the seat to the right of you, across the aisle, watching the surroundings. An unconscious Kokichi was in the seat right next to you on the left. There were bars separating the Monokuma driver and you three; the type you'd see in a cop car. Nagito wasn't wearing his jacket as usual, and you quickly noticed it was placed over your shoulders with your arms out of the sleeves. He didn't seem to be cold, but it was pretty chilly so you felt bad that he let you wear it instead of him. It was dark and rainy outside; definitely not the weather to go without a coat.
You figured that Nagito had probably been awake for a while, seeing as he was calm about the situation; acting as if this was just a normal drive somewhere. He almost looked like he was bored. He had his arm on the bottom of the window and was leaning his head against it. You don’t remember getting onto a bus. The last thing you remember was standing in the hallway of the 5th floor of Hope's Peak Academy. ‘They must have knocked us out’, you figured.
You looked up through the front window to see another bus in front, similar to the one you were in right now. Looking behind you through the back window, you saw a few more buses trailing behind. ‘Maybe they’re be relocating us for some reason, though why they decided to split us up, I'm not sure.’
When you turned to look through the back window, you felt a sharp pain in your stomach. You dismissed it as hunger pangs, as you knew you hadn't eaten much today.
You placed your arms over your stomach and it seemed to help it feel a little better. At that point, Nagito noticed you were awake, but didn't say anything. You decided to break the monotonous silence, aside from the rain pattering and the engine rumbling through the bus.
"Thanks.. For the jacket, I mean." You said.
He picked his head up and turned to you.
"Of course. I assumed you would be cold, and someone like you should be warmer than someone filthy like me." He smiled a little, as if he hadn't just insulted himself. It's almost as if he didn't realize he was being self-deprecating.
Deciding to ignore the last remark, you just shook your head and continued.
"If you get cold let me know, though, so I can return it to you, okay?"
"...Alright." It seemed like he wanted to decline, but decided against it. He just put his arm back on the side and leaned against it again.
You looked out the window and watched the road stretch on. Aside from the other buses, there were no cars on the road. You wondered why they left the windows uncovered. ‘You'd think they would cover them or even keep us knocked out long enough to get to wherever we were going.’
After who-knows-how-long, Kokichi started rustling. He sat up groggily and looked around confused, as you had done not long ago. After waking up more and taking in his surroundings he turned to look at the two of you.
"Why are you wearing his jacket? Are you two dating now or something?" He said, looking disgusted; however he was obviously joking.
"Well good morning, sunshine. Why were your legs on my shins? Does that make us a couple?" You shot back, also joking.
He looked a little shocked, but still chuckled and quickly moved his legs.
"Soo... Where are we?" He said, looking out the window, though there was nothing that could be used to your advantage to figure out where you were.
"Your guess is as good as mine. Nagito's been awake the longest, since I woke up not long before you did." You shrugged and turned to Nagito.
After hearing his name, Nagito turned to face you and nodded,
"That's true, but I haven't seen a single sign or building since waking up. So we still have nothing." He sighed and slouched.
You could tell he didn't want to say anything if he didn't need to. Seeing as they both disliked each other, he probably didn't want to aggravate Kokichi or end up upsetting himself.
Kokichi huffed and went to cross his arms but winced and put his left arm back down. "Ow.." He muttered
"What’s the matter?" You asked.
Even Nagito was focused on the situation. You both waited as you watched Kokichi try to shake off the pain.
"That really hurt. It felt like I've been stabbed in my arm." He was looking at his arm in the sleeve as much as he could without moving it around.
"You might need to pull up your sleeve. There might be something underneath." You said sitting forward a little.
"Yeah but.. It's near my shoulder at the back, so even if I could pull up my sleeve that high- which I don't think I can- I won't be able to check it." Kokichi said, slouching a little at the realization that he'd need one of you to check it for him. "I'm sure I'm fine though." He said, but that was clearly a lie.
"That obviously hurt. I can check it for you." You sat up further and started leaning towards him, putting your hand closer to his arm to take a look.
He slapped your hand away with his uninjured hand.
"No. You don't need to take my shirt off for me. I’m fine." He said, turning away from you, and he seemed to be in a sour mood. He leaned up against the window, probably to use the cold window like an ice-pack, though he looked pained when his arm came in contact with the glass.
"Well I'll gladly switch places with Nagito so he can check for you, if you’d prefer that." You sat back the way you were a minute ago.
Your stomach stung from moving, but you didn't want to worry them with that fact, and you hadn't noticed it as much because were worried about Kokichi's arm.
Nagito sighed.
"Sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to swap places with you." He gestured to his legs, "It seems like they’ve sliced my legs. Right above the knee. I hadn't noticed any blood- if there was any- because of how dark my pants are but when I went to put my jacket on you, I couldn't properly stand to do so. I didn't mention it because I assumed my luck made me get hurt while we were unconscious. That doesn't seem to be the case, however..." He continued.
"So, do you think they harmed us all so we wouldn't, or rather, couldn't fight back?" You said. No wonder your stomach hurt, it was probably caused by whoever's working with Monokuma.
"Well, that makes sense. But you don't seem to be in pain. So you could still do something, right?" Kokichi said to you, now holding his, assumed, injury with his right hand.
"..." You paused before answering. You weren’t totally sure if your stomach was damaged in some way, or if it was just hurting, but you didn’t feel comfortable pulling up your shirt to check right now.
"From what I saw when you first woke up, when you went to turn around to look out the window, you winced in pain as well. And since you had your arms over your stomach for a while, I'm assuming that's where they hurt you too? If that is the case, anyway." Nagito piped in. You didn't realize he saw that, but it seems he's a lot more observant than you’d thought.
"Yeah, that sounds about right. But I don't know if that's from hunger or if that's from the Monokumas." You said.
"So why don't you check? It's somewhere that you could check easily, so you won't need help." Kokichi said, clearly getting annoyed.
"Yeah, but I can't just go pulling my shirt up to check. It’s just uncomfortable to do that right now.." You said, slouching a little.
Kokichi sighed, shook his head slightly, turned more towards the window, and kept his gaze outside. You could tell he was irritated, not because he had to look away, but probably because of the situation you were in.
Nagito also turned his body towards the window, leaned his arm against it and rested his head in his hand. He even went the extra mile to close his eyes, though you weren't sure if that’s out of respect for the situation, or if he was just tired.
You took your left hand and held both sides of Nagito’s jacket closed in front of you as extra covering, and lifted your shirt underneath. As you’d expected, you had a clean slice on your stomach. Though for some reason it wasn’t bleeding, nor did it look all that fresh. It looked more like you’d been cut a few days prior and it was just starting to heal. You were upset about the fact that they went out of their way to hurt the three of you, but at the same time, it intrigued you as to how it could look so healed when you couldn’t have been asleep for more than a few hours.
You lowered your shirt and let go of Nagito’s jacket.
Kokichi hadn’t, and couldn’t, check his wound and Nagito probably couldn’t check his either, which was why you’d assumed the reason you hadn’t seen blood was because Nagito and you both wore dark clothes near the wounds and from the angle of Kokichi’s wound, you figured you wouldn’t have been able to see blood even if there was any.
Even though you had finished checking, the boys stayed looking out the window in silence. You were sure that you reaction, or lack thereof, proved the theory true, giving them no reason to ask whether or not you were right.
You thought about also sitting in silence, but the fact that there was no blood on your stomach at all was something that should probably be mentioned, especially since you needed to work together. You leaned forward.
“Hey! How long were we asleep for?” You yelled to the Monokuma driver, though there was no response. You hadn’t really expected for there to be one.
The boys both turned and looked at you; Kokichi, again, looked confused and irritated. Nagito just looked tired.
“There, uh.. Wasn’t any blood. I just thought it was odd, if we were only asleep for a few hours, there’d be blood, right? At least dried blood, right? It was completely clean, and didn’t look that fresh..” You said, sitting back again.
Kokichi just looked more stunned but Nagito seemed to be thinking about the implications of what you’d just said.
“Are you saying that we’ve been asleep for longer than a day, at least..?”
“Seems like it..” You said, sighing.
Nagito just shook his head at the thought. He wasn’t disagreeing with you; it was more of a disappointment in the thought of the Monokumas and their actions.
Author’s Notes: I’m so sorry this request took so long, @manacat
I wasn’t sure where to go with this because I’ve had a few ideas for it but they all were very unrelated to one another. I might make another part to this in the future :)
You sat at your desk, writing a few final touches to your poster. A playlist- made up of many different genres of music by both of your guests- was playing through the speakers on your computer. Bickering behind you were your best friends who, at the moment, felt more like children you were babysitting.
"You know, you'd think that with the type of money you have, you'd buy a hairbrush," Kokichi said, tugging his fingers through Nagito's hair.
"Oh? I guess I hadn't thought about it." Nagito said, smiling, though wincing at every tug.
You turned to the two, who decided that your room would be the best place to have a sleepover. Though you originally invited them over to help work on the project.
You can't blame Nagito all that much, he really did help with a lot of the information for the presentation. As for Kokichi...
"Hey! HEY! What if we used a razor and I could shave it all? I wonder what you would look like with a shiny bald head?" Kokichi shouted, excitedly.
"Wouldn't that be a GREAT idea Y/N??" Kokichi shouted to you.
"I actually prefer the fluffy cloud hair... But you really should brush it, Nagito." You said, putting the eraser of your pencil against your lip.
"My head is actually quite sensitive, but I guess I could brush it."
“It’s only sensitive because you have so much hair. I can help fix that for you!” Kokichi said, twirling a strand of hair in his fingers.
“No thanks. I think I’ll stick with the sensitive head.” Nagito said, defensively.
With nothing else to add, the boys fell relatively silent.
"All done." You said, leaning back in your chair and stretching.
"Nice work. I can proofread it and make any edits tomorrow." Nagito said, applauding your efforts.
"Sweet! Now we can play games riiiight?" Kokichi said, bouncing to his feet.
"I could go for a game or two." You said, looking to Nagito for his answer.
"It couldn't hurt. Of course, I happen to be very unlucky so I shouldn't be much of a concern in terms of winning."
"Blah blah blah, unlucky this, lucky that. We get it, you're bad at games," Kokichi said, lightheartedly mocking Nagito, using his hand as a fake mouth, "You don't gotta make things up just to feel better about it!"
Kokichi smiled a big toothy grin, to show he meant no harm.
"Well, don't cry if I happen to win then." Nagito said, mimicking Kokichi's smile.
"Yeah, yeah, less smack talk and more playing, yeah?" You said, setting up the game.
Within 5 minutes, Nagito had won easily. Within ten, Kokichi took the lead and smack-talked his way through every round. Within twenty minutes, you had racked up ten times the amount of wins as theirs combined.
And for once in your life, you actually saw them working together, even if to try to beat you.
"So? should we take a little break before another round?" You asked, placing the controller down.
"Sure, but only so Nagito and I can come up with a strategy to beat you. You must be cheating so we gotta think up a cheat we can use," Kokichi crossed his arms.
"We won't really cheat," Nagito piped in, defensively. "You're just very lucky in this game!"
"I don't think luck has anything to do with this game.." You said, shaking your head.
---------------
After your snack break, you started getting tired, and you could tell the others were too. You started getting blankets and pillows for the three of you and placed them on the floor.
After everyone was settled into their makeshift beds, and the lights were out, you started dozing off.
"Hey. Psst." You heard Kokichi whisper.
"What is it?" Nagito whispered back.
There was no response from Kokichi, other than a giggle.
"Hey. Pssssssstt." You heard again, a few minutes later.
This time Nagito didn't respond.
Kokichi sat up, and looked at Nagito. He was asleep already.
"Well, Y/N, you know what this means. The first to fall asleep at a sleepover gets vandalized!" He whisper-shouted.
"No, go to sleep. We have school tomorrow and I don't want to be late washing the marker off his face."
"No fun... Better hope you don't fall asleep before me." He jokingly threatened.
I feel like the same thing goes for Nagito, but the other way around. Kinda
Like how is he ripped?? He's sick, how would he have the energy to actually workout often enough to have/maintain abs?
I think people forget some parts of the character's backstories to make them look/act a certain way, sometimes
TO THAT
Author’s note: Yes this is partially based off a real event, no I do not want to talk about it. (It’s a little funny)
Please enjoy!
"Press it! Press it!!" Kokichi shouted over your shoulder.
“Are we done? I don’t want to screw it up and press it too early” You exclaimed.
"If you don't press it now, who knows what'll happen! Push! The! button!" He cried out, with comically large tears streaming down his face.
"If I push it now, we may not have done everything right!" You yelled back, hands shaking.
"It's now or never, S/o, I'll never forgive you if you don't press it in time." He stated grimly.
You quickly re-read everything on the screen in front of you, tapped a few keys on your phone keyboard, and pressed the button. Immediately, the screen went black. You and Kokichi were both silent. The room's atmosphere had been totally different mere moments ago. Now, instead of shouting and anxiety, it was silent and just tense. You looked up at the clock every few minutes.
Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Time crept by, slower than ever before, almost convincing you that it wasn’t moving at all. You’ve never seen Kokichi this serious.
You two made small conversation here and there just to fill the time, though it didn't help much.
At one point, you even went outside to wait.
It was rainy, chilly, and dark.
The rain danced on your coat, before falling to the concrete beneath you.
But as soon as you heard Kokichi telling you to come back inside, as he was getting cold from the open door; you went back inside to wait.
Right when you both started to give up hope, there was a knock at the door. You stood to answer it, but your boyfriend was faster; getting to the door and throwing it open.
"Thanks, we almost starved to death!" He exclaimed to the poor GrubHub driver.
"Yeah, sorry about that.. Enjoy your McDonald's.." The driver said before turning to head back to his car. Kokichi didn't bother to tip, he just closed the door and got to work making sure everything was there.
"Oh my God, S/O. They forgot the most important part" He wailed.
"What? What did they forget?" After waiting a long 20 minutes, you didn’t want to deal with reordering whatever they missed; And your phone was dead, so you’d have to wait for it to charge to do so.
"The seventeen pepper packets I added!!" He wailed; gently, but dramatically, tossing the bag on the counter.
Though that wasn’t a main part of the order, Kokichi was actually upset about it being forgotten. So much so, that you almost felt like driving to McDonalds to ask for pepper packets, just to appease him.
McDonalds had already closed by the time you decided to do so, however.
It was a sad day that day.
Author’s notes: After a long trial, you’re outed as the mastermind. This is the way everyone reacted after finding out. (Mixed games, with some characters alive even if they died canonically.) Chihiro is referred to with he/him pronouns.
I’ve actually had this written for a while, but I wasn’t sure if anyone would like it, so to give you a little extra content while I work on the requests, here you go :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Aw, it must suck to be in your position right now, doesn't it?" You asked, smugly.
"Why... Why would you-?" Kokichi yelled, through tears.
"Why would I work for them? Why would I betray you? Or perhaps were you going to ask 'Why would you help us through all those trials and lead us all on?'" You questioned calmly, smiling.
He stayed silent; Waiting for you to answer the questions you'd, seemingly, read their minds and threw out.
Before answering, you looked at your "fellow classmates" around you. Kokichi was in rage-filled tears, Nagito was staring at the ground. Makoto had his eyes squeezed shut. Chihiro had tears pooling down his face, in shock. The portraits of all your late classmates stood around the circle, completely unaware of all the lies you'd told them during your time in this game.
"ANSWER ME" Kokichi screamed again.
Getting another rise out of him was exactly what you were trying to do when you left those questions up in the air. It made you grin wider.
You just shrugged, still smiling.
"Why do you think I would betray you? What would lead me to do such a thing and feel not a twinge of remorse? You're a liar too, are you not? So maybe you can figure out my reasoning for doing what I did."
He just clenched his fists. He had no idea why you would do it.
You laughed and then slowly left your podium, walking to the one directly across from yours; where Kokichi stood.
"Aw, don't look so upset. I made this game a little more fun for doing all of this, didn't I?" You cooed, reaching for his hand, but in response he backed up and slapped your hand away.
You just fake pouted for a moment.
"Well, at least you should be glad that you figured out that I'm the mastermind before voting for the wrong person." You crossed your arms. Though you were still smug, trying to get a reaction out of all of them this time.
"Makoto, can you believe I was this close to framing you and getting away with it?" You sighed.
You went back to your podium. "I guess we should get on with voting then, huh?" You said, seeming completely unbothered by the fact that you were about to be executed.
As expected, everyone voted for you. Except for one.
That’s when Monokuma piped in,
"Wow! I can't believe it. Who didn't vote for Y/N after all those theatrics, hmm?? It's a good thing everyone else could agree though! Upupupupupu!"
You looked up from your voting tablet.
Walking back over to Kokichi, you shook his hand.
"I wish you luck. Perhaps everything will work out well in the end." You said.
"UUunfortunately,” Monokuma interrupted, "you all voted INCORRECTLY, besides Y/N, who rightfully voted Kokichi! However, because you got the majority votes, you still die with the rest of them, regardless of if you voted correctly or not!" Monokuma started laughing maniacally. "And Kokichi, because you successfully got away with it, you can walk free! Even though you voted incorrectly... But I'll let it slide! AHAHahahahahhah"
"Wh-What? We voted... Wrong?" Chihiro said, more tears flowing out. Not only had he been betrayed by two close friends, but they were working together to get them all killed?
"I.. Can't believe you two. What could've possibly led you to do such a thing?" Makoto spat out, though he seemed more disappointed and scared, than angry.
"They should call you the ultimate actor, Y/N! That was an amazing performance! Our plan worked like a charm!" Kokichi said, seeming incredibly proud.
You just nodded and smiled.
"IIIIT'S PUNISHMENT TIIIIIMEE!!"

Authors notes: I know its short and nobody asked but here's just a few headcanons for these boys :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Byakuya:
Notices that you’ve been distant
Would ask you what’s bothering you without beating around the bush
“I see. Well, if that’s how you feel then I guess I can’t stop you..”
Would just get up and leave without another word
Secretly he’s hurt of course but he knew he couldn’t change your mind
Wouldn’t call or text you after that, but wouldn’t block your number either; in case you ever changed your mind
After a few days, he'd send a maid to come grab the rest of his belongings
Makoto:
Would ask what’s wrong, but he would first give you the chance to bring it up
If you don’t bring it up first, he’d bring some of your favorite things and talk to you about what’s bothering you
If you do bring it up first, he probably gets really quiet
Afterwards he just sits quietly to process what you’d said
But once it sinks in, he’d try to talk it out with you and promises to be better
Unless you’re adamant about it and then he’d know when to give up
He would sleep in another room that night hoping you’d change your mind
If you tell him he needs to move out, he’d do it, but would call or text every once in a while to attempt to be friends at least
He would either send a mutual friend to pick up his stuff or would text you about the best time for him to grab it
Kokichi:
He’d tease you about being distant
"S/OOO why are you avoiding me?"
After you tell him that you want to break up, he’d go quiet for a minute
"You know I hate lies right..? Oh. You were serious.."
Gives you the silent treatment for a day or two to make you change your mind
If you don’t, he’d probably try to change your mind by saying you’re lying and that he hates lies and whatnot
But he’d still move out
While upset, would block you; At least for a little while
He'd know the times you're out of the house and would pick the lock to get his stuff
Unless he's feeling really petty and then he'd do it when you are home but would act as if you weren't even there
Nagito:
Would immediately notice something’s wrong, and would blame himself
He wouldn’t ask about it right away, but if you don’t bring it up he would come to you later and ask straight up
If you come to him first, he’d say something like “I knew you’d realize sooner or later how trash I am.”
Would probably pack a bag and leave, but come back later to sleep on the couch because he doesn’t have anywhere else to go
Lowkey always felt like this day was coming, but when you actually said you wanted to break up he’d down spiral
Would never bother you, but wouldn’t block you or change your contact information or anything
He'd just leave his stuff there unless he absolutely needs it, but he'd put it off as long as he can because he's hurt
You two searched the room cautiously. To lighten the mood, and Kokichi being Kokichi, you joked around while you did so.
Unfortunately for you, the risky joke you'd just made didn't end up getting a laugh out of Kokichi. In fact, it ended with you laying in a pool of blood. Your own blood.
"Y/N!" Kokichi yelled out, as he ran to your side.
"I guess that one wasn't funny, huh?" You said, chuckling which led to you coughing, more blood coming from your stomach wound and some coming out your mouth.
You were in too much shock to realize that that wasn't an appropriate reaction to getting stabbed through your back and out your stomach. You're not sure what exactly prompted the knife, or sword, or whatever it was, to stab you; but it sure as shit hurt. Your wounds started to burn.
"Why are you worried about it being funny? You're gonna- You-" Kokichi couldn't keep his usual cheerful demeanor. He started tearing up. He didn't even play it off as fake tears, either.
He tried to shake off the tears and took off his beloved scarf to press onto your stomach, trying to stop the bleeding.
"Sorry, this probably hurts..." He said while still putting pressure.
It didn't do much, other than soaking his scarf in crimson.
My vision started getting blurry. There was nobody else to help you two out of this situation. You were the only ones here. Your eyelids started to get heavy.
"DAMN IT KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!" He yelled.
"A-Ah. Sorry.." You trailed off. You started to feel light headed and a little dizzy.
"Don't.. Don't leave me here alone. Please." He whispered.
"Awwh you... You care about m..me..?" You said, smiling. You were still trying to lighten the mood.
You started to feel incredibly cold, but at the same time your back and stomach still felt like they were on fire.
"So.. Cold?" You questioned weakly; though it wasn't really a question. More like an observation that you weren't quite sure of. "I'm.. I'm okay. Right? I'll fall a..sleep and... then I'll w..ake up in a hos..pital bed completely fine, just... just like in movies.." The pressure Kokichi was putting on your stomach, and the burning/freezing feeling in your wounds made you want to scream, but you didn't have the strength to do so.
"No- I- You... Yeah. You're gonna be fine. Just don't fall asleep between now and then, okay?" He said, trying to give you an encouraging smile, though the tears streaming down his face didn't back it up. He seemed to be agreeing so you'd be more likely to agree and go along with what he's saying. And even though he knows you probably won't make it through this, he doesn't want you to die afraid.
"M..Maybe just a.. Short... nap?" You said, your eyes drooping shut again.
"NO! Keep them open, alright?.. Count the tiles on the ceiling. Tell me how many there are near us." He said as he started taking off his shirt, to use to wrap around you, hopefully to stop the bleeding from *both* wounds.
"W..One... two, th..three, fou....r." Your eyes got too heavy now. Kokichi tried to wrap his shirt around you without moving you too much. It made you suck in air through your teeth.
"Keep counting." He said, not looking you in the eye, too focused on trying to find anything else around to help keep pressure.
"J..ust a little... nap.. first...." You said taking a deep breath.
Kokichi seemed to give up, knowing you didn't have much time left. He sat next to you and grabbed your hand, even though you guys were just friends working together to escape, he still wanted to give you as much comfort as he could in your final moments. He didn’t know why he wanted to do that for you, but he did it anyway
"Okay.. Just a *sniff* short nap, and then get back to counting... Thank you so much for being my friend. I never thanked you sooner.." He tried to smile at you but the severity of the situation was so much harder than any other death or dead body you two have had to see and investigate before. You were his only friend through thick and thin.
Little did he know, you hadn't heard most of his last statement.
