Happy women's day !
it was a little funny how quickly my friend figured out that these were warmups for drawing the au versions of them
Okay but, Atsushi leapt forward. He was sliced from behind.
He should have fell onto his front, he should have been faced down when he hit the ground.
And yet, as he falls he somehow manages to turn over.
To turn towards Akutagawa, to keep his eyes on him and not the thing that just killed him.
His eyes that plead with Akutagawa to be safe, the hand that pushed Akutagawa away from danger still stretching towards him, are the last things to go.
With the last of his strength in the physical world, Atsushi fought to know he'd saved Akutagawa, fought for him to be the last thing he saw.
my current top 3 favs in one piece and me forcing them to interact bc that's super unlikely to happen in canon right now
i should post these here as well that's a good start
SB!Chuuya vs mafia grunts: spot the differences
Choker (for style)
Gloves (we don't have time to unpack all that)
Rolled up sleeves (for size style)
Open collar (delinquent)
No tie (delinquent)
Unworn sunglasses (in pocket)
It has all the elements of a standard mafia grunt uniform. In the novel, he picks up a shirt, all of which are high-end and well-maintained, "at random" just to get it done. This matches his empty apartment in serving the theme of the story, which is "who is Nakahara Chuuya?"
and YET, we can see his personality come through that basic nobody uniform in the way he chooses to style his bland clothes, the accessories he puts on, and the glasses, which are a mean to anonymise the mafia members, that he does not put on, yet carries with him. He will not be absorbed as just one of the many, and despite his uncertainties, he's clearly himself from the very start.
CHARACTER DESIGN!!!!
(note: the light novel description of his clothes and the character design do not completely agree. Asagiri wanted to have Chuuya wear emerald cuff links. Harukawa rolled up his sleeves. Make of that what you will.)
but i don't know how to walk toward the past or future! — it's simple. feel strongly. that's what you do when you want to experience the past.
i was gonna make a joke like how does hallucination dazai know the status of kyoka and lucy but no actually how does hallucination dazai(?) know the the status of kyoka and lucy???
In return for all the sins and crimes of men, the gods created me with glistening long black hair and pale, inviting skin.

With teary eyes, she turns to me for sympathy, but all I can see reflected on the water is a lonely harvest moon.

Even at nineteen, I had come to realize that violets fade, spring waters soon run dry, this life too is transient.

This is how optwt is talking about Nico Robin right now. Op is a supposed Robin fan as well btw (she's their literal pfp).....
Imagine trying to say Robin was useless in Egghead (which is what they did) when she was out here throwing hands??
Imagine trying to paint the moment of the coward trio + Brook saving Robin as anything more than a beautiful display of love & an amazing reminder of how much the character's life has changed for the better?
Imagine watching Robin be understandably triggered by Saul getting taken down & calling her a crybaby who needs to "get over it"?? What? The same chapter Saul told her not to do anything btw.
As if Oda isn't consistently realistic with how his characters respond to traumatic events & triggers??
When I say Powerscaling & "Agenda Piece" have rotted the brain, THIS is the exact type of takes I'm talking about. I honestly cannot believe anyone who calls themselves a Robin fan can in good faith say something so ridiculous wrong & mean spirited about the character. It makes no damn sense to me smh. Do you even like her at this point to be saying something so off base? Do you even understand the character & writing?
