Does Brook even know that the One Piece is a treasure? Like, he died before Roger even became a famous pirate, and the One Piece (and being the Pirate King) only became a thing after Roger's execution. For all Brook knows, One Piece could be the name of an island full of pirates, like Hachinosu, that Luffy is trying to find so he can become the king of this place, and therefore, the King of the Pirates, or something like that

"Usopp Pinocchio imagery", this "Usopp Aesop imagery" that.... What about Usopp Odysseus Imagery? I never see enough of it.

Y'know, Odysseus, who sailed the world going on grand adventures, always thinking of his little home island to return to. Odysseus, whose main trait was being a wily, clever teller or tales, who would often trick his enemies to win. Odysseus who boldly lied to a Giant to save his crew. Odysseus, who put on a disguise and pretended to be someone else, with only those close to him being able to recognize him, confirming his identity to the rest of the world with a feat of sharpshooter archery!

Or what about Odysseus' main character flaw being his tendency for hubris? Hubris in the original ancient Greek sense (ύβρις); overconfidence and bragging in the face of gods, calling yourself greater than gods even as a mortal, and offending them. Like perhaps claiming you have "8000 Men" under your belt while facing opponents much greater than you, or earning the title of "God" when you're not one. Or more cheekily, calling yourself the "Captain" of your crew in the face of Sun God Nika.

I wonder what Penelope, patiently waiting for Odysseus back home in Ithaca, and rejecting a gaggle of suitors, reminds me of. vvvvv

Last year I made a post headcanoning that Chuuya was the one to bring Kajii into the mafia after the Laughing Lemon incident and now I am back with evidence.

It's tradition in the Port Mafia to give a new recruit an article of your own clothing when inviting them into the mafia. Famous example being Mori gives Dazai his coat, and Dazai gives Akutagawa his coat in turn.

So with that in mind, if Chuuya brought Kajii in, he would have given him something as well. Only Kajii 5'11" and Chuuya is 5'2", so Chuuya's clothes wouldn't exactly fit Kajii.

But do you know what they both wear?

That's right! Stupid fashion belts that serve no actual purpose!

Can you believe this little thing felt like he was his best friend's shadow and gave up on his dream because Shanks shone brighter than him? Can you believe he spent his childhood staring at his best friend from a distance because he thought he couldn't reach the stars by himself? This minuscule Wan moment means the world and so much more to me because... There's no Dazai involved. This tiniest scene implies that at least in the Wan universe Akutagawa occasionally just chooses to hang out with Atsushi for no other reason than hanging out with Atsushi, and Atsushi allows it. Wan sskk canonly choose to chill with each other and presumably enjoy each other's company and it warms my heart so much.
