It's Trans Day of Visibility 🥳 Being seen is a wonderful thing in lots of ways, and it's good to celebrate that!

But it's not always safe to put yourself out there, and sometimes you'd just rather keep your head down. So, for anyone who needs to hear this:

You don't owe it to anyone to be out about your transness

"Out" is not a binary - you can be be out in some circumstances and closeted in others and that's OK

However "out" you are, you're still trans

However "out" you are, you're no less a member of our community

You don't need a better reason to wait than, "I don't want to come out yet"

i always think about that study where they had adults hold a baby, and when they were told the baby was a girl the adults said she was cute and small, and when they were told the baby was a boy they said he was big and strong. they rated the baby’s ability to do things and tendency towards certain toys differently. they even held the baby differently. (x) or when they rated the baby’s physical ability to do various tasks such as climbing up a slope differently, (x) & when they measured how much parents told their girl children vs. their boy children to be careful and stop being so rowdy (x), & when they measured how often girls and boys were told to be quiet. (x) this was, obviously, all unconscious behavior in the adults. they’re not all like, raving sexists who outspokenly believe that women can’t do stuff or that girls really should just be quieter, be more still than boys. like its not even counting the direct, actual messages, its just literally how every single person in your entire life treats you, and if asked they would probably deny that its even because you’re a girl. how the fuck am i supposed to believe this doesn’t affect a child’s development when its literally constant throughout the entire process 

I really wish people would understand that there are other forms of queer rep besides two same gendered people kissing.

A queer character is queer rep regardless of their romance or a lack thereof even. Ace and aro people exist. Trans people exist. Bi people exist. Queer characters are rep by existing, not just by who they interact with. If a character is nonbinary, they are queer rep whether they kiss someone or not. A bi character in a relationship with someone a different gender is still queer rep because they are still bi. Queer characters can even just be friends with one another. They can be single! And still be queer because that’s who they are not who they do!

This whole trend of deciding if art is valid representation based on romance and ships is reductive and dismissive of identities existing within individuals. And of the communities that we all need.

Just please, stop reducing entire identities down to relationships. Its all good and fun to enjoy your ships, but you have to remember the community is bigger than just romances.

when i was a teenager and i learned about how light pollution and a certain billionare’s satellites obscure the night sky and all of its glory that humans have looked up and admired for hundreds of thousands of years, i always kept the mantra ‘they would steal even the skies from you’ hidden deep in my gut like a warning

but now i’m in my 20s and in the midst of a plague, having to watch corporate entities like space x and jeff bezos scramble for a piece of the infinite vastness of our universe while we’re all down expected to toil for their gains, live in an age of widespread sickness where we can’t be granted healing or rest without a profit, have every single piece of our lives cut up and dressed for sale like a butchered animal, from basic human needs to human expression. and now that same mantra comes to mind, but now instead of a cautionary warning it sits in my chest and my throat bc it has gone from a warning to a certainty. they will steal even the skies from you.

Things that I noticed when rewatching Ganondorf fight in Twilight Princess :

_In the HD version when Zelda summons her arrows in the cinematic one of them is black ? And it wasn't in the original. So either it was a bug (I doubt it) or it was to signal that the Twilight Realm Divinities are also fighting and helping.

_In the horseback part Zelda stand on a running horse that is accelarating and slowing down regulary to shoot her arrows before sitting down when she hit her mark. My god I knew Zelda was boss Queen in every of her incarnation she didn't need to prove it again so spectaculary.

_In the last phase when Link and Ganondorf blades clashes, Link make Ganondorf kneel over with raw strenght.Gano is here bending to put all his weight and strenght on his blade against Link but Link still push through which make Ganon loose his footing and he has to put one of his knee on the ground.

In conclusion TP Zelda and Link are absolutely awesome and if you disagree you can fight me.
