Summary of the JRWI segment of Grizzly's stream for those who missed it:
the new campaign is called "Midnight Shift"
it'll be the patreon campaign after Judgment. Wonderlust still has "a couple months left" and Riptide won't be returning until sometime after that.
it's in the D&D system, he considered Call of Cthulhu but decided against it.
~20 episodes
tone inspired by Gorillaz's song "Clint Eastwood"
realistic setting, New York/Manhattan/big city
characters are from the real world
possible guests
characters stumble upon opportunity to "level up", to make money or change, to take risks, to have a better/worse life via tower that brings them into a fantastical dark world.
tower splits the world into two, the characters do not have access to their powers in the real world. the story will follow the characters life both in and out of the fantasy world.
goes up to level 17 in a gameplay loop, unless they die. Grizzly "isn't pulling punches" on this one
players will have backup characters, but none are planned rn
old characters might be able to be revived at the top of the tower
edit: Shady Cicada might do the theme for the campaign
edit 2: POTENTIONAL TOXIC YURI... IMPILED TO BE PCs
Logo wips by the awesome griffin @/my-craft :)
NO ONE TALK TO ME RN.
DOODLE yeah
i recently saw an awesome post by @saszor about characters with facial paralysis (and how to draw them) and wanted to give it a try :]
it made me think of drey in the B.L.O.C.K because he def had some major nerve damage after that
the full jrwi tarot deck idea is really cool! who would you assign which arcana to?
Right now the only major arcana I have set is Chip as the Hanged Man. That idea was really the catalyst for all this lol. Angelstone will most likely end up as the Lovers and Thanatos will probably be Death. I'm looking to put as many PCs as major arcana as possible!
If anyone has suggestions for major or minor arcana, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
