Marigold from @zoe-oneesama's Scarlet Lady AU!
So, uh, I wrote more stuff for the all left au by @sabertoothwalrus . . .
I think this AU has (sadly) died down a little, but I'm not done with it. I will never be done—
But for real, I'm planning two more stories in this universe, both of them multi-chapter. I'm referring to them in my head as "the recovery fic" and "the prosthetic fic" (in which Adrien will not actually get a prosthetic, yes it's weird, bear with me). The prosthetic fic will probably be written first, since I have more ideas for that one, but I still hope to write the recovery fic someday. I'm also considering an epilogue, and I'll probably throw in some one-shots if I'm so inspired.
Look me in the eyes and tell me that Plance and "Princess and the Frog" don't have almost exactly the same character dynamic
The third and final chapter of my Plance fic that took far too long to update is now up!
Why is this how it always goes
Do you ever start writing something that you’re excited about and that seems like it’s turning out well and that you’re getting eager to share, and then you start typing it up or doing an edit pass and it’s just awful it’s awful its premise is fundamentally flawed and it’s out of character and the prose is clunky and the plot is badly paced and ludicrous and the whole thing is embarrassing, how could you have done this, how could you have sunk so much time into this, you can’t even look at it, how is this that shining thing you were so excited about, how could you even have considered finishing it let alone sharing it with anyone, you’re crying, your mother is crying, nuns are spontaneously exploding in the streets,
Not because of the pining/buildup in the first book, but because of the way the established relationship was written in books two and three. It's rare to see characters together, on screen, in stories. Rarer still to see them having problems that they work through, arguments, doubts, differences, and issues that they overcome because they love each other, even if they're different people. Rarest of all to see love that lets a character sacrifice their loved one for the world as the loved one would want, instead of sacrificing the world for the loved one.
I drew some angsty Adrien Agreste and couldn’t decide which version I prefered, so I’ll just post both.
