These Flowers Remember You

These flowers, they remember you.

They miss you and your gentle touch,

The yellows, reds and bonny blues.

How do I know they tell as much?

Though, as from fairy gardens snuck,

They're silk and bought with only cents.

They tell me as I pull and pluck;

Their buds make otherworldly scents.

Where do vampires hide?

Vampires hide in the twilight

Vampires hide behind lies

Vampires hide in the light

Vampires hide in art

Vampires hide behind cameras

Vampires hide in part

Through all the eras

Going for walks through town

For a thousand years

Through the same old town

People still drink their beers

Knowing nothing of the truth

Vampires hide in stone

Until the stone comes loose

Rubble standing all alone

Vampires hide in rubble too

When they don’t have money

When they’re feeling blue

Just dreaming of some honey

Shape Shifters and Spontaneous Evolution

Some people wonder why evolution has occurred more quickly on Earth at sometimes more than others, whether it was from cosmic radiation or in response to extinction level events or something else. Sometimes spontaneous evolution occurs because of the presence of nearby shape shifters. Shape shifters have not only a telepathic connection to the life around them, but also on another level, a connection to the physical or bodily vehicle, such that they can signal life around them to change their form in a similar way to the shape shifters. The natural life around shape shifters begin to be able to change their form as well in proximity to shape shifters, as the shape shifters inspire and ignite the same sparks in life that gave the original shape shifters the ability to change form quickly and easily. To know when spontaneous or enhanced evolution occurs most, you can look at the total population of shape shifters in the area, or generally, on Earth, who were around at the time. Then, as the population of shape shifters moves or decreases, life goes back to being more stagnant, and keeps the form it had for the most part as the shape shifters had left it.

Shape Shifter Immortality

Shape shifters start off life very small. They get bigger and learn about life and at some point they get smaller again. Once they reach a tiny point they begin to get bigger again. Neither their awareness nor their body is completely lost through the cycle. They just learn about shifting more and get wiser and more skillful. Eventually, they are able to be big or small and develop other abilities, but that can take thousands of years. Shape shifters can be hurt by a variety of things such as no water, being hit by a car, fire, and being lonely.
