This post will probably hurt some feelings, youโ€™ve been warned ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ

Be one of the ones that actually makes progress this year, do what you say youโ€™re going to do. At the end of the day itโ€™s just you. Not your parentโ€™s, not your significant other, not your family, not your coworkers, itโ€™s you. Unless theyโ€™re shoving that shit in your mouth, thereโ€™s really no excuse to not be in some sort of deficit.

You donโ€™t have to finish the whole thing and I promise you, people arenโ€™t as worried about what youโ€™re doing as you think. I can make an entire book of things you can say to get out of eating but honestly a โ€œno, thank youโ€ is more than enough if youโ€™re an adult with other adults that respect you. If they canโ€™t accept your no, you need to surround yourself with new folks. Plain and simple.

Some of yโ€™all donโ€™t really want this, youโ€™re not willing to change the lifestyle that made you into something you hate and it shows. You want to lose it quick and then are surprised that you gain it back. You lose the discipline, you lose the body. Stop sitting there and thinking about it, fucking do it. Figure out what triggers you, figure out what motivates you and most importantly figure out what you really want and actually do it. At least try. Show up for yourself, build trust with yourself, prove the old you and everyone else wrong.

Donโ€™t be the person constantly talking about what theyโ€™re going to do or concocting a new plan every other day instead of just getting up and putting in the work. Itโ€™s annoying and everyone can see right through it. I donโ€™t give a fuck about your new plan if you couldnโ€™t even see the last one through, you canโ€™t even say it didnโ€™t work because you didnโ€™t even fucking try. Youโ€™re worth more than that. Youโ€™re worth effort and commitment, especially from yourself.

I was the whiny bitch who always complained about feeling full, fat, and ugly then proceeded to eat my feelings at every opportunity. I finally decided enough was enough and did something, then I finally stopped making excuses and thatโ€™s where Iโ€™ve really seen progress. Itโ€™s not just weight loss either. So many of my habits were a reflection of how I treated food. When I was eating for two without the second person, I was also drinking too much, spending money I didnโ€™t have, and wasting my time and energy.

Now that Iโ€™m back on my shit and honoring my commitments, Iโ€™m better about my money, my time, pickier about people I surround myself with, and where I put my energy. Itโ€™s a domino effect.

From a former big back, donโ€™t act like a big back if you donโ€™t want to be one anymore. You want to be thin, act like you already are and the rest will follow. Your body is truly a reflection of your choices, so what do you want to see?
