To know that I love

The things that

I wish everyone could see and love

About you

I know enough

To know your eyes

Brown flecked with

Gold and green (my favourite colour)

You know things, too

I know enough

To know your past

Hurt and mistrust

You didn't deserve//I wish I could erase it

No kid does

I know enough

To know your laugh

Warm and comforting

Casting it's light in bursts over my heart

You are too kind

I know enough

To know your mind

In the ways that

I find enchanting, like standing at the shore

Of the beach (it has its moments)

I know enough

To know your heart

The pieces you've shown

Are strewn across my thoughts

I will be careful with

You- I know

You- I trust

You- I don't care to finish that word

If it is unknown to you, perhaps I can keep it a secret from my own mind
