My Brother Just Posted On His Socials That He Asked Our Parents If They Were Happy With Their Lives And

I got bored of a story I was writing so I started playing around with the roles and it made me realise that the characters had never respected the guy that was originally their leader. They liked him, but he was a child to them. And like I had never realised they thought of him that way but everything I wrote them into always led to that conclusion. It made me kind of sad, but I’m the one who did it, so now I can go back and change his character so they respect him more.

Imagine a fantasy book where all the characters are autistic and there's a mysterious oracle who only speaks in riddles, but it's not because they're cursed. It's because they're the only neurotypical and no one can understand them because they never say what they mean.

Why is fictional gambling so cool. The fear, the terror, of knowing you could lose everything, and the thrill just before the reveal. Everyone is keeping their expressions closed and no one knows what each glance means. It’s so cool.

The one time I ever got caught passing notes in class left me very confused, because it had been reading time and the teacher always let us do our own thing as long as we were quiet, so while she was reading, I gave the girl next to me a note saying that I liked her drawing. She wrote back with another compliment, and we just exchanged them back and forth a few times before the teacher suddenly snapped up the paper and read it. She often read notes out loud to the class, but she didn’t that time, and then she told us to not write notes again. Excuse me, miss, this is READING TIME AND YOU ARE INTERRUPTING THE CLASS BY STOPPING A COMPLIMENT EXCHANGE

My friend wasn’t texting me back for three days when she usually only takes two hours at most, so I was getting worried about her and kind of low-key figured well maybe she got tired of you, but then she got in touch and told me that her phone wasn’t working and that she didn’t want me to worry, and then she said that she missed me because she wasn’t able to respond to my texts, and that just made me smile a lot.

Edit: It turns out she wasn’t getting my texts at all, BUT THE POINT STILL STANDS SHE WAS STILL MISSING ME AND I STARTED MISSING HER TOO

Shout out to me for writing diverse characters even back when I was anti-lgbt

For example, I wrote a bi nonbinary character and had them correcting everyone who got their pronouns wrong. I didn’t even know what any of that was when I wrote it, I just thought it made for an interesting character quirk.

I just followed back my friend on Pinterest and I said something flirty through the Pinterest messaging system, but now that I'm thinking about it, I have no way of knowing if that is the friend I'm thinking of, or if I just flirted with a random stranger who wanted to friend me on Pinterest and has a few of the same fandoms as my friend. Who did I just flirt with.

Back in high school I found Newsies online and saved it onto my Drive, and I would watch it every Saturday night until at one point I had the first half memorised and probably could have recited the second half with some help, but then the video got deleted and I wasn’t able to watch it for a year. The hyperfixation faded, so by the time Disney Plus came out, I wasn’t able to get back into it and it just became something that I used to love.

It’s always sad when fandoms fade.

I wish people would love each other. I wish so completely that people would be kind and lovely and nice. Sometimes I wonder if people can be good.

I think, if I simply grew up with a good mother, I would be able to believe in the inherent beautiful humanity of people. For now, I have to be wary of even my reflection.
