Hey-ho welcome to hellscape of my self-indulgence! This blog mostly exists for me to spew out all the thoughts I have on this and other background characters because I could not contain myself. I'm also using it to ease myself into comic-making and improve my general art skills.

Below the cut is a "brief" but important summery of things you may want to keep in mind when interacting with this blog. Note that this information and the entire blog contains MASSIVE spoilers for the story of My Hero Academia, including (and especially) the ending.

This story begins after All For One's defeat, post clean up period, right when the students of 2-A return to UA for the last stretch of their second year.

This story focuses mostly on Ojiro, of course, because I'm sucker for background characters who never get any attention. Other background characters will also be explored.

A guide to the themes I'm hoping to explore:

Self Worth | This will probably be the main theme of the story. It's a whole thing, expect to see it a lot.

Trauma and Healing | These kids went through two quirk wars, watched people die, and nearly died themselves. This will also likely be a prominent topic.

Disability | This will probably only come up occasionally. While I am disabled myself, I have little experience with the particular cases that may show up here. I'd like to be as respectful as possible when exploring these topics, and I'll be doing as much research as I can before diving in. Should someone find an issue with my portrayal of someone, PLEASE let me know. I don't want to encourage a false idea of a vulnerable group.

Sexuality | Teenage sexuality will likely be touched on, however, I will not be depicting any characters in overtly sexual situations. Rather, this theme will mostly talk about identity, self-discovery and communication.

You can expect some content warnings closely tied to those topics. You'll be able to find specific warnings in the tags of each post, and posts containing potentially triggering subject matter will be safeguarded behind a 'keep reading' button, wherever possible.

With that in mind, I'm open to most kinds of asks. You can ask the characters basic questions, propose a scenario (quirk accidents, headcanons etc) or try to delve deeper into a character's thoughts, potentially influencing them.

Asks that are just outright sexual, or otherwise offensive, will be ignored and deleted.

Just curious, but what is your favorite Ojiro ship?

Personally, mine is OjiToru (Ojiro x Hagakure).

Hmm. Good question. I don't think I have a particular favourite. I'm a multishipper, so I enjoy seeing him with different characters for different reasons.

(These are in no particular order):

Ojiro x Hagakure

Arguably the closest thing to a canon relationship in MHA, it's clear they have a strong bond and are close enough to share their worries with each other. Wholesome and supportive, plus Ojiro nearly lost his mind when he thought Hagakure kissed him during that one mission, and she ran straight into his arms when she was upset after discovering the UA traitor; they're adorable.

Ojiro x Kaminari

I absolutely adore Kaminari's tail fluff obsession. Ojiro is so unbothered in every panel where Kaminari is playing with his tail, so he must do it all the time. Plus, there's that cute panel at the hot springs where Kaminari's splashing Ojiro in the water. Ojiro is the chill boyf' to Kaminari's silly.

Ojiro x Shinsou

I love a good enemies to lovers. Saying that, I also love that Ojiro doesn't have the capacity to hold a grudge and immediately welcomes Shinsou to the heroes course once he's finally moved across. It's a ship where I see Shinsou having lots of guilt/insecurity and needing reassurance that he's forgiven, with Ojiro being the endlessly reassuring boyfriend, happy to squash any of Shinsou's issues immediately.

Honestly, I would love to see Ojiro with anyone. He gets so much shtick, when in reality he would make an excellent down-to-earth partner.

Ojiro x Mahoro

I also once made an OC specifically to pair with Ojiro, called Mahoro Mimi.

Ojiro usually doesn't like being seen as ordinary, so Mahoro was made to be the opposite. She's a girl with a transformation quirk that turns her into a terrifying, demonic monster when she gets too emotional.

It's a pairing that focuses on each wanting what the other has; a way to stand out, and a way to blend in.

I really enjoy this pairing too, because it focuses on Ojiro learning to accept and love who he is, as well as helping someone else love themselves as they are.

GIVE THE TAILBEAN SOMEONE TO LOVE, HORIKOSHI, COME ON.
