Thinking about how Princess Bubblegum isn’t technically even a humanoid. She’s just sentient gum. She just chooses to be human shaped. She can pull some of her hair out and it’s just gum. One time she lost an arm and she just stretched out her gum and made a new one. She’s human shaped by choice. Moreover, that means she’s girl-shaped by choice. And that’s based
Learning that in the German dub of Adventure Time Bubblegum speaks Turkish
Assimilate that into your headcanons
Personally I like to think she's a polyglot since she's shown speaking English, German, and Korean
Oni Press have announced a new Adventure Time comic series, beginning in April 2025! They have also revealed the cover of the first issue, pictured above.
The first arc, titled Best of Buds, looks like it will be a collaboration between Nick Winn and Derek M. Ballard. Other artists and writers will join later in the series. Confirmed so far are Caroline Cash, Asia Simone, Jorge Monlongo, and Brenda Hickey. Most of them are new to the Adventure Time franchise, with the exception of Derek M. Ballard, who was a storyboard artist on the season six episodes Breezy and Nemesis, and Jorge Monlongo, who illustrated Adventure Time (2012) #74 and the short comic Visions of Paternity from Adventure Time Comics (2016) #18.
Adventure Time (2025) will be the first Adventure Time comic series since the conclusion of Marcy & Simon six years ago, and is the first new series to be published by Oni Press. If their initial announcement is to be believed, a slate of miniseries and graphic novels may be soon to follow!
The 9th of April is the date to put in your calendars! After that the comic will be on a monthly schedule. Each issue will retail for $5.
