What advice would you give women struggling to find their self-worth?
This is insanely well written 😍

Warnings: language, angst
After taking a hot shower and getting dressed for the day, I let Dodger out once more before I leave for the studio. This time of year is always busy; families coming in wanting photos done of their kids or the whole family for the holidays. I love this time of year and how happy everyone is. Plus, the holidays provide endless possibilities when it comes to the pictures.
When I get to the studio, I head inside and unlock the door, flip the sign, and turn the lights on and get ready to get down to business. My assistant/receptionist Allie gets there about 15 minutes after I do.
“I hope you’re full of coffee and perkiness, because we are going to be jam packed today, my girl.” I tell her.
“Had a cappuccino at home and I have coffee in my trusty travel mug. I’m ready to go.” she says, laughing.

It had been years since you had last seen him and to say that you were giddy was quite the understatement. In fact, you had been giddy ever since you had received the backstage passes months ago. Shawn Mendes, Rogers Center, Toronto.
You only knew one person who could’ve sent you those and your heart was racing before you even found the little note.
‘I’d love if you could come. Cez’
Just his simple handwriting had you almost tearing up as you were hit by so many memories. You couldn’t even properly remember how you had met Cez. You had been an aspiring tour manager when he had come into your life like the miracle you had been hoping for, taking you under his wing and showing you all the ropes of the business. You had been around the world with him while you had learned so much from him. He was the reason why you had achieved so much, why you were living your dream, and you were forever thankful for that.
’Security guy was really skeptical as he let me in. Do I still look like a 16 yo fangirl?’ you texted him as you were helplessly standing in the backstage area, people bustling around you and not paying much attention to you once they saw the backstage pass around your neck. ‘Also, I’m a bit lost. Help?’

Goodness, I love this. So much 😍
a/n: 5k of getting to know each other.
Phoebe flopped down on her hotel bed with little enthusiasm, paying no mind to LA’s glistening skyline flickering up at her. She knew the team meant business by putting her up in a room just as expensive as Shawn’s, but she was too busy to gawk at the city because her mind was flooded with opinions and guilt and excitement regarding The Meeting.
They’d Ubered to some corporate building in West Hollywood. The traffic was bad. Phoebe wore a pencil skirt.
She remembered Shawn’s uneasy expression when the mock-up contract was slid across the table, Andrew’s face lighting up like that of a kid’s in a candy shop.
Phoebe’s suspicious nature pushed her to read the fine print.
Shawn’s A&R guy tapped his foot on the marble tile in annoyance while she inspected every word, but Shawn’s gaze was fixed on her chin as a proud smirk tugged at the corners of his mouth.
She was no match for the industry.
He kind of liked it.
