Happy birthday ❤️❤️🎉
My dog's first birthday is tomorrow! Everyone wish him a happy birthday!! Right now!!
He is an autism service dog in training. He's already doing so well. I love my son.
I look down at your sleeping form, pressing my hand on your chest to feel it rise and fall.
My, what a hard life you've had, and what'd I would do to make it all better.
I look up at the clock
It says 4:00 am in large red letters
I look back down, to see you looking up at me.
Big innocent brown eyes
I will never understand how anyone could be cruel enough to hurt you.
I softly pat your head, and tell you to go back to sleep.
You groan and shut your eyes with ease, not a speck of doubt in them.
It brings me great joy knowing that I am your safe place, as you are mine.

Ollie started struggling to nap during the day again. He gets enough exercise. He gets a lot of play time. We train every day. He gets plenty of opprtunities to go outside and sniff. He very clearly gets tired, but fights sleep, and then gets really grumpy about being awake.
So I started considering other causes. And I think I figured it out.
As a puppy, Ollie ate three small meals a day. I had asked his vet when I should be changing that, and she said that many of the poodles she sees stay on this three-a-day schedule. So up to this point, that is what we have been doing.
The other day, as I was pulling my hair out over Ollie refusing another nap, I had a thought: what if it was hunger?
So we made the switch to twice-daily feeding. I started giving him a larger breakfast and dinner, and I replaced his lunchtime with training.
We saw results immediately. Ollie is napping solidly, and he is significantly calmer when he is awake. He responds faster to his cues. He's not as mouthy, and he engages in less attention-seeking behaviors.
I feel a little bad for not figuring it out sooner, but I am happy it is addressed now.
Cute ❤️ I love the tomagochi ds game. One of my favourites
I’d suggest seeking professional help especially if you think your dog may have a possibility of becoming reactive. YouTube is also a good platform to find some help but do not rely fully on it. Each dog is different and it’s better to get training suited specifically for your dog. Hope this helps❤️
we went for a nice long walk in the park yesterday. for the first half, she was on a long line and harness (to sniff and explore), and the second half, a collar and short leash (loose leash practice). i noticed any time we saw another dog, she kinda barked a little and backed away. i rewarded her for checking in with me and refocusing after, but i’m afraid of her becoming dog reactive. does anyone have any tips to nip this in the bud while she’s still young?
HoneyBear is not doing great. All of these vets have been dicking around and draining our bank accounts instead of listening to us and getting to the bottom of the issue. I don't like to beg but literally every penny counts, we've already spent over 1600, and are about to owe another 1700 just to get her help. She's our service puppy in training, only 6 months and in so much pain.
Here's a GoFundMe but I really don't trust them idk what to do

I’ve finished the mirrored hall. I’m moving on to creating a circle library and installing an ambient sound system for each room so whenever you enter a different room you get different music. :)
Let's get cozy, friend.

Tumblr... I am begging you to do your thing. My beloved Kaladin Halfdan has been hit by a car and his owner Liam as well as his entire family is devastated. Please please please consider donating and if you can't donate, please share far and wide. On top of being all around amazing top notch people for reasons outlined on the gofundme page, Liam being queer and disabled means his life quite literally depends on Kaladin's.
